A couple days ago I encountered a Dwight that used DS after downing him on the first chase of the game. I disconnected, called him out and the fucker tried to convince me that DS got buffed xdxd and two games later a Steve suddenly vanished in front of my eyes while I was chasing him on an open field

I'm glad to know I'm not going crazy, at least. I've run into multiple subtle cheaters this last week and recorded the games to make sure I wasn't losing my mind. Good thing I was running Wraith's add on that lets you see generator progress, or I really would have been thrown for a loop. Heads-up, in addition to the usual insta-completing a generator, there's also a cheat that allows all generators to progress even if nobody is touching them. I had three survivors left, was chasing one of them, then 2 generators were completed during the chase (not terribly unusual), but then after I hooked, all three remaining gens were about 50% progressed. All in under 70 seconds for a chase. Literally impossible with 2 survivors alive to do that much gen progress.

You're the guy that made me interested into plaing DbD, so after stopping it for 2 years I decided to come watch your videos before going back to DbD. After seing this video, I dunno if I really wanna come back now

Seeing someone’s scratch marks disappear out of thin air while I was right behind them has been happening more frequently. You always want to look at the logical options first, but some matches have certainly been a bit questionable lately.

Yep this about sums up high level MMR but with more subtle cheaters and uncatchable survivors. It is amazing.

Seriously, the event just seemed to bring out the worst in already toxic players. I cant have a single match without constantly getting snowballed or watching a survivor teleport across the map

The funny part is that bhvr posted in Reddit that they wanted votes for they labor of love nomination, and the funniest part is that the community was happy with that. I know that Otz doesn't like that we said bad things against others, but this community has the memory of a golden fish! This year we got possibly the worst chapter ever (tools of torment) with a terrible and unbalanced killer and terrible perks, then a chapter with a killer that nobody uses and the introduction of the infamous perk "MFT", plus we got the most annoying killer meta so fair with eruption, Call of brine and overcharge without mentioning the 3 gen "strategy", but because we got alien and chucky people are thinking that bhvr finally made a good job this year, but they are not!! solo q is a terrible experience right now, and according to their Q&A, it will be like this for another couple of years, that's inaceptable.

I already feel this game so hard when im playing and i'm not even a streamer or anything. I just can't imagine how painful it must feel while playing this kind of game + having daily cheaters.

Surprised you didn't include the Blight match the other day, not because they were a cheater, but because they kept you hostage by delaying the bleed out timer and then the survivor teamed up with the killer to get you. Unbelievable stuff.

Otz I love your DBD content, you're the reason I got into the game but this hurts to watch and it makes me more confused how I never see problems like this. All this said, if you need to, take a break buddy. We're gonna get outta this weird spot someday soon. Gonna be watching either way!

I played a killer game last night against a full squad of cheaters. It was a wild experience. All flying, speed hacks, insta head ons, DS even when not hooked. Crazy

I've recently gotten back into DbD and have been enjoying it again by playing Killer for the first time It's sad to see how your games are going Otz, you are very inspirational and knowledgeable with your content, part of what got me back into the game I do hope your break from making extra DbD videos goes well, videogames are meant to be fun, people should have fun and be happy Always looking forward to your next stream and videos!

The DC penalty is so fun and handy! It totally stops people from leaving matches early, and totally doesn't have a much larger and more detrimental effect on legitimate players then cronic leavers!

The expressions on your face during the Badham match were absolutely sending me into the stratosphere, and were exactly my expressions too, except usually I just don’t know what’s up because I’m out of the loop about a lot of DbD stuff. Goddamn

I just had the same problem today, every few matches there was at least one Cheater sometimes it was even hard to notice untill end. Like i thought one Feng has background player because she was speeding up only for flashy saves but it end up being just a hacks. Stay strong Otz

What really sucks is that if cheaters really are back for another wave of chaos, it'll be weeks/months before the worst of them are banned. An overwhelming amount of the cheats that show up all at once like this tend to come from a small handful of sources. The devs have to pinpoint the cheat buyers, creators/distrubutors, *and* develop the proper anticheat system and/or ban all of them at once. That takes a lot of time and planning. Remember last year when cheaters showed up in every streamer's lobby constantly by using their IP addresses and even in many of ours? They literally had an excel spreadsheet of DBD streamer info down to how they handled being stream sniped and if they waited out the game clock or not. It took BHVR 3-4 months to wipe those guys out and they did it all at once in a big ban wave. We might be in this for a while gamers. Maybe try another game or two. Really, it may not be fixed until Spring.

On top of all of these clips I'm 90% sure I spotted a subtle cheater in a match he played last week. He won the match, so I guess it doesn't matter as much, but he had a whole team slugged and was chasing the last person when someone stood up. In after game, there was no possible explanation from the whole team's perks, no unbreakable or soul guard, nothing. I tried asking how she did it but everyone kept telling me Unbreakable despite her not having it so I just dropped it.

I understand you very well, I started doing videos about a game that isn't very famous but I find it very cool to play, when I started the channel I was just finding people that have fun with the game, you know, not being try hard, not being toxic, etc. But now when I enter in a server to make a video or just to have fun, I only find tryhards, toxic and hackers. It makes me want to quit that game tbh. Not only that, but the game is not in a well state, it has a lot of bugs and problems that make it really sad to play. This hurts everyone, I had a game as killer where I got a bit lucky with finding survivors and as a result was I accused of wall hacks. When cheaters gets so common will players naturally get paranoid. I really hope Behaviour can set a stop to this.

First match with the new winter event we got a Myers that had everyone insta-hooked after 10 seconds. Shortest DBD match ever. And the person behind that 'spammed' something along the lines on 'you were outplayed by a bot...' into the chat. That's real fun if you just wanna play a few fun rounds after a tough day and it just starts out like that...

Its even worse when you see just how many cheaters that livestream on Tik Tok and even sometimes on RU-vid, I understand that cheaters and anti-cheat are in a constant arms race against each other; but especially more recently the cheating has gotten ridiculously common

Was playing with a bud the other day against Chucky on Family Residence (Yamaoka Estate). I was running Empathy that game. Long story short, Chucky injured and was chasing an Ada at main no more than 2 seconds after breaking a gen at Shack. We still got a 3 man though.

I didn't knew Tubarão was in DBD as well. Wtf? I know we have Trapper and Huntress in Rainbow Six, but Jesus, I need to buy him on Dead by Daylight. And yeah, it's a pretty good character, very good defender. His AR-50 is great. And for a little while it broke the game. Nowadays it's okay-ish. But yeah, really fun to see Otz experimenting and playing Rainbow Six as well.

That's why I'm SO glad the devs aren't addressing actual problems like SWF's and cheaters and are instead going to tweak pigs power (almost certainly a nerf.) Keep up the good work guys!

I oddly enough had a cheater 2 days ago as well, they did things similar to this by holding the game hostage, for me it was whenever I picked someone up, they instantly wiggled off, and the cheater had buckle up for the people for whenever I downed someone, I luckily won that match but just find the consolation odd, could just also be a coincidence.

The fact this is what you get for being at/around the top of the game while also trying to do fun content for it, while also being a fog whisper and realistically a carotid artery for this game (content creator-wise, likely whether anyone likes it or not), I just feel bad for ya man. It looks like you got every kind of hint to not give the game the time of day, therefore I wouldn’t for a while. See what happens, at least your community has got your back, that is for sure. 💯

I'm genuinely surprised that I haven't noticed any cheaters in my matches. There was one survivor I suspected of subtle speed cheating, but they ended up dying like the rest of their team, so I wasn't sure.

People ask me why I don’t play dbd anymore..a good chunk of my matches looked like this and it just wears down any desire to play the game in a meaningful capacity. Hopefully one day the game can be free from the number of cheaters it has.

Hey OTZ, I know it's really easy to just get tilted at the state of the game but no matter what we do or what we say behavior won't change anything, if by any chance you see this I encourage you to distance yourself from the game, stop putting so much energy into it for your own good. It sucks to watch you be unhappy when playing this game when you are what got me into it. Lots of love

It's really interesting to see that, for me (in the EU) in a more casual mmr it's really hard to imagine that bc I had 1 obvious cheater and a maximum of 3 subtle cheaters I noticed in over 1k hours and close to devision level 5, i'm Happy it's so good for me but i'm also sad to see something like that happening to other people like you :/
