In this video, we will discuss the modeling and control of a DC motor. The DC motor model is discussed for two cases, one where the armature current is kept constant and the other one where the field current is kept constant. We will consider controller designs for position control and velocity control systems.

Thanks for your message! Glad to know to this! At around 00:31:20, I also use the fact that tau_L = J_L/b_L. Some steps are skipped to go from equations 25 to equation 26, but you can work it out in more steps if you work out the parentheses in de denominator first. Try it and let me know if it worked out.
