Thanks for the Tutorial, just wanted to point out that on the first use example, without radar ranging, you could have selected the target wingspan on the right console and then the sight width would signal when you are within range (when the target wingtips just touch the two vertical lines of the HUD sight), otherwise great tutorial as always, I love your channel and hopefully the Kola Map will come out soon.
@@deephack i tested it some more. there are three things i can name to make it possible (or easier) to find air targets using the radar: weapon selector, adjusting radar elevation and using b-scope. 1. normally, the radar elevation is controlled automatically depending on the weapon selector position. On IR-RB, the radar disk will be elevated to scan at 0°. 2. on the A2 position for b-scope will also change the scan angle to a narrower (presumably) 60° instead of the A1 position's 120°. this of course increases the update interval. 3. on other weapon selector positions for A/G, you can still manually adjust the radar elevation. On the A1 position I think I can still see the contact dots... but there are also other ground returns so I can't be 100% sure. 4. i could easily pick up the An-26s i put there in the mission editor. but a pair of L-39s don't seem to show up. I'd be glad if you could test it more. cheers!
