DD15 Valve Lash Adjustment/Overhaul  

Freightliner Cascadia valve, lash adjustment, not necessarily a tutorial, but if one is necessary, I will post.
Initial Valve Lash Adjustment Period
60,000 Miles at 180,000 and then every 180,000 Miles.
Always first Bar the engine over until cylinder number one is at top dead center (TDC) compression stroke.
Lash intake valves 0.4 mm (0.016 in.)
Lash exhaust valves 0.6 mm (0.024 in.)
Always follow your specific engine OEM Directions
The torque for the locknut valve adjusting screw is 50 N·m (37 lb·ft)
Tools Needed:
• feeler gauges
• Detroit Engine Bar tool
• 3/4 Wrench and or Socket
• Allen Screw
