I love how they just stopped making Beginner charts partway through, and how they've got an 8 and a 9 as bosses but they treat Mad Blast like a regular song.
Some Songs in DDR Festival: DDR Extreme: Believe Bizarre Love Triangle Kids in America Ladies Night Like a Virgin Waiting for Tonight .59 Firefly Funk Boogie You're Not Here Your Rain Maximizer
the music at 0:26 is called "Future of My Life" from the game OST. i love this track, i wish that they used it with the steps. such a fitting name and song.
Actually DDR EXTREME and EXTREME 2 had some great song lists, and personally I find them better than DDR FESTIVAL and STRIKE, which were based on the USA versions of the prior mentioned. DDR EXTREME JP is still the best version, but DDR EXTREME USA and EXTREME2 aren't bad either, and DDR II on Wii was okay, but had awful licensed song choice.
You do realize that all these purple songs are from the Ultramix series that was on the original xbox which was in the USA right? So in actuality, it is the Japanese getting American "shit".
@GSXStudio Long story short, in January 04 the first playable demo seen had the game with the original arcade interface but in English (not to mention two songs that got scrapped) But by E3 the Festival interface was used causing most of us to scratch our heads (that is until Festival was announced, and released two months after this game.) Most people find the interface to be a dealbreaker, but the songlist isn't too bad considering that America has always been playing catchup with Japan.
@godofnopants You guys were lucky compared to us Europeans though. The first two PS2 games we got both had about 28 songs each including around 8 licences. Dancing Stage Fusion, the European equivalent to DDR Festival/Extreme US, was the first decent PS2 game we got which had 54 songs in the CS version and about 50 in the AC version. And the few exclusives we got were off-set by how long we had to wait for each release and a lot ended up in DDR games anyway. Fancy swapping? :P
@@Dedegiko Okay FMCB (Freemcbot) is a type of homebrew program that you can put to your PS2 via Memory Card and USB. OPL (OpenPS2Loader) Is another program that runs thanks to FMCB and can emulate games for USB and HDD. Also, it doesn't matter the region of games, they can run if you have an American PS2 and you want to play a japanese game.
@Adi Is pretty much the same but a couple tweaks, like I need you -plat mix- and some other bangers. I like this one over DDR Extreme USA tho! Yeah random reply just 7 years belated.
@@asiandude611 loool still swinging around huh haha! DDR is so yikes god tier that I was refreshing my mind with the series to buy them all and 'keep on movin' '^'
The game that got localized and repackage and renamed as DDR Extreme for the United States when it was a whole different set list to begin with and the US got jipped in the process
I simply cannot believe Konami had the nerve to give us this piece of shit and call it DDR Extreme in the US. Hell, they even made the song list worse in the process! How can they fail so hard?!
Not sure what that has to do with my comment. This game seems to suck hard either way. And for Konami to localize it in the USA and call it DDR Extreme is a real kick to the balls for the fans. In actuality, the USA never got Extreme.

Your partner is mean. Mine happens to like DDR, and rhythm gaming in general, it's just one of his cats that's the problem... I haven't bought any of the recent games, anyway, mostly due to Konami's impotence, but largely because I've been buying the Just Dance games instead.
Yes we Europeans got kicked in the arse and pissed on in terms of quality DDR games that were released for us, so just do what i did and buy an american ps2 and buy the games :D i can't find a japanese ps2 tho but I've still got all the american games and euros :D
