First the announcer. The songlist from DDR X they're coming from DDR supernova 2. The other problem is also because the DDR X American cabins came out terrible and Konami did not respond to give support. In my country, Colombia, 3 machines arrived and it was never possible to solve the issue.
@@charleyx55 I'm not sure what happened to the cabinets, but I'll say this, holy hell the announcer was ANNOYING. Overzealous, never shuts up, it was actually annoying to play
i got this version of DDRX, and believe me, is really worth it!!!! i spend hours playing it and i still don't get bored, well, except for street master mode xD
That's the sad part, and that still makes X the most accurate conversion of an JP arcade to an American console release EVER. Again, look at DDR Max, Max2, Extreme, SN1 and 2 (all US ver.) and compare them to their japanese arcade versions. Pretty much every song in X-american PS2 IS available on X JP arcade, while Extreme US (for example) makes you believe that Kick the Can and Neverending Story are in DDR Extreme AC.
It's quite funny you're making that statement on this video, since DDRX (US ver.) was the most accurate conversion of a Japanese DDR game to this date.
But then again... So many nice Japanese songs, new KOs that I don't have the patience to wait for in the next mix XD And so many classics that haven't been featured in anything above 8th Mix, so playing them and editing them using the more updated X engine would be awesome. Plus I'm SO making a freestyle for SP-TRIP MACHINE ~Jungle Mix~ (SMM Special) ^_^
Yeah it still got some differences but they are minor compared to what they have done with other games. Look at DDRMAX or Extreme (both US) and compare them with their japanese counterparts. They make X look almost like a perfect adaptation of the japanese version.
I find it weird that this version got Wine Red but not Put 'Em Up, yet the arcade got Put 'Em Up and not Wine Red, and the US CS was the only one to get Hero (2008 X-Edit) so far. I also find it interesting that many of the revivals are from 2MB. A pretty good list overall, but I am interested to hear what in love wit you sounds like.:)
Has anyone other than me noticed that some of the songs in DDR X are Japanese and we enjoy them? I mean, people who aren't anime/vocaloid/etc. fans who already enjoy it. I mean the people who've never heard someone sing in Japanese?
What model PS2 you running this on? For some reason I get a long lag between song samples when I switch between songs on the songwheel. Not sure if my PS2's laser is stuffed or not. Let me know if you can, cheers.
Yeah, but the MAIN Series and Ports Aracdes that was released Only on PlayStation Consoles from PS1 and PS2. (except the 2ndMIX and CLUB VERSiON that also was realased in Dreamcast in 2000) the DDR X JP was the last in Japan. It's a shame than not more DDR CS in US and JP for PS3 and PS4. No Real DDR X2 for PS3 in 2011 No DDR X3 vs 2ndMIX for PS3 in 2012/2013 No DDR Pack 2013 and 2014 for PS4 in 2014/2015 and No DDR A for PS4 in 2017/2018
Mr.AirbusX 340600 and that pisses me off . PS3 ddr in us keep getting delay Everytime til they finally released it. Japan supposed to get PS3 ddr too but they cancelled it
where I can get this game in Japanese for ps2, Might upload it to your server please, I appreciate you very much, I've been looking everywhere without success to get
@TheOneBlueNinja I know. there are only so many paranoia remixes which you can stand. there all the same anyway, just the same paranoia stock sounds with a faster and "evil-er" beat.
I know this is kinda sudden.. but did u get the XMIX5 AND THE 2 OTHER SMM specials, becuzs i just downloaded and finished the story mode and sht and i didnt get em, i know it says in this comment u dont know but i touhght u would knew by now, im sorry if im rude just want to know how to unlock those songs. ty
I definitely want to get the US version first, mainly for the planet songs (considering the fact that I have the US SN2, that'll be my only chance of getting them, and Pluto and Relinquish), and of course the songs exclusive to the US X.
Man... If you look at it this way, the JP version has more revivals than the US version, but the JP version pretty much only got like 10-15 new songs while the US version got ALOT of new songs... IS this a good thing or a bad thing? Idk really, but for the JP version to have that many revivals (to me) is pretty damn amazing, better than the US version IMO
ok i will tell you how, hl1auz already told me how the day i need it When you finish everything, you are missing Xmix5, PARANOiA MAX ~SMM Special~, SP-TRIP MACHINE ~SMM Special~ and Chance and Dice When you finish the last episode of Afro, go to story mode, because every character have an EX-EPISODE and clear this 4 ex-episodes and u get the songs: Xmix5 GUS episode EX PARANOiA MAX ~SMM~ BONNIE episode EX SP-TRIP MACHINE ~SMM~ RAGE episode EX Chance and Dice JULIO episode EX Hope it helps :D!
@foxxyforever Now that's what I'm talkin about! I think I'll suggest the use of DLC to them on the Wi-Fi enabled consoles... If they widened their demographic a little and remake the good old days, they'd be able to make a comeback with all these Music/Rhythm games blitzing the shelves ^_^
OK songlist, but PARANOiA MAX in roulette (PN Max but with original PN steps) needs to come back and the planet song in this game lost its Expert chart (There is no Challenge choice, but attempting to play with the Expert choice brings up the Super Maniac or Challenge steps instead).
@SonicOrbit01 Yeah, I pretty much facepalmed at that too. T_T Oh, and while I'm commenting...SIX PARANOIA REMIXES IN ONE GAME?!?! JESUS! What is it with Konami and that song?
@timeparadox888 japans supernova and ddr festival and ddr extreme songs we get in the more recent songs Dance Dance Revolution from ddr extreme took 5 games to get overseas
@SonicOrbit01 No kidding. It seems like every single DDR game has to have a remix of that damned song. I mean, it's good and all, but not THAT good. Hell, Butterfly is the most popular DDR song of all time, and I think they only remixed that one once. :/
The songs feel anemic, they don't have the same effect as techno or eurobeat. I get times have changed but most ddr players are fascinated by euro rave songs !
I don't think that'd work because it probably costs more money to license some of these songs to American audiences than we'd take by boycotting them. Plus, I don't even think they're making any more DDR games for the U.S. At least, not on the consoles that are on the market right now.
@hsb17 Oh yeah believe me, Extreme US was a ruined DDR childhood right there. And obviously the arcade version would feature all of these songs considering it has songs from way back since the very first DDR game. But these PS2 ports should feature all the NEW songs. Not songs held back for a year and were already in the JP version of the PREVIOUS game.
Pretty cool tracklist! But come on... PARA -Respect- appears in JP mixes TWICE now, before even ONCE in a USA one? WTF?! -.- Plus, we miss Blue Rain and Ubertreffen?
