Tragic to lose this lad who is clearly a fan of STP & does a fine job of stepping up to give these songs his all.So sorry to LP fans on this sad sad day
0:24 That’s something I have always loved about Chester, he genuinely cared about the fans and cared to make sure that everyone has a good time. You don’t see that much often.
Sorry to say but Scott Weiland is a tough act to follow.... But I think Chester does pretty DAMN GOOD! Growing up with STP it was loss to lose Scott, but they couldnt have picked a better preformer, more passionate person when it comes to music/fans! No he doesn't sound like Scott... BUT Chester rocks his own and he's damn good!!!
@@krystalbarnes9496 no you shut up fucking pussy. You should return in a way of high respect to scott weilands legacy on grunge music scene. His voice is more manly toughed and has much wide range raspy voice than chester. You should better think smart scott weiland is way far more years older and have been done already being a legend before chester were recognized in the music scene of a new evolution called NU Metal. Do you understand what im talkin about lady, scott weiland is big name in the grunge era. And he was one of the band influenced during younger years or childhood of chester. Chester was a only a poor kid and a big fan during a golden mile era of scott weiland and S.T.P. and others grunge rocks bands icon who hit up to the mainstream
I was never a fan of Linkin Park, but when I first heard him sing with STP, I was blown away! He had the range and treated the music with a real reverence. It's a tragic loss indeed.
I thought him acknowledging this young man was a wonderful thing for him to do! What an awesome experience for the kid...will be one of his fav memories no doubt for a long time!! Way to be a true front man Ches. Love you for your big heart!! =)
Chester looks like a complete frontman in this one, thats the way we have to remeber him...Doing Weiland's vocals is super dificult but Chester had an amazing voice RIP my fave singer Scott and Chester
Joey Puckett There's ONLY one Scott. (◣益◢) - AND, hopefully, Chester will be able to move out from behind Scott's shadows. I can't imagine it'd be a very fun thing being compared to someone all the rest of one's career. That'd be like "Congratulations, Son. You grew up to be a professional Karaoke Master." ...I dunno... maybe it'd be cool to some people. Don't try to pickup on me though, Lol.
Kristin Drysdale He had a career before this, hes not in anyone's shadow. The true mark of an entertainer is to please your audience. This is music (mostly) was from STPs Core album. It wouldn't make a lot of sense if they couldn't replicate that same familiar sound they had way back from the 90s. I agree, no one can take SW place, but this guy deserves some credit for his contribution to the group.
Kristin Drysdale You do realize he's the vocalist for Linkin Park right? Karaoke Master? Shit...at least he's sober and can remember the fucking lyrics unlike Scott...I saw STP with Scott a few years ago and he just mummbled the whole fucking time...I wanted to see STP, not STP and some drunk.
Aaron Glanville I get it. I also get that we're all human with vices and that every experience is one in which we can choose what we get out of it. In the totality of Scott's career, you're going to have the awesome opportunity to reflect back on being apart of a soulful musician's journey... or you can see it as an effing waste of time. The framing is entirely up to you.
Yea he was sober, he grew up listening to. S.T.P a dream can come true, he totally loved playing with them for 2 years of his life but could not head line 2 bands( fyi he broke his leg, and very gracefully n sadly bowed out of S.T.P. and returned to his caring bandmates L.Park. His death , brought much sadness to all,World wide. I truly hope Scott and Chester finally are at peace. ( Depression can rob us all )
I watch this video often. Not only because it's the best live performance of this song I've seen, but also I think of that kid -- what an amazing and tragic memory that fan was fortunate enough to be blessed with. 💔❤️🩹♥️💖
I grew up with both S.T.P. and linkin park. I was kind of upset that S.T.P. replaced Scott. So upset that this is my first time giving Chester a chance and he's gone. I feel bad. Just glad I wasn't a toxic fan. If only I did this when he was alive. Chester Bennington hit it right out of the park! 10/10 R.I.P. to the Legends.
Fuck Man, why did Chester and Chris have to go out...fuck, I especially was emotionally attached to Chester...fucking is a fucking beast...tears every day for this soldier!!!!!!
Wow. First time hearing this version but glad I did, Chester did an AWESOME lead on this! I love STP and LP just sucks the world is missing out on his legendary voice. Glad he got to make great music with a good band while he was here.
this was waaaay better then i wouldve thought.its mind blowing! if i closed my eyes and lustened to this i couldve sworn it was scott taking the lead again.chester put his all into this song.wish they were still alive and kicking.rip boys
How happy was that little guy probably best concert of his life having Chester Bennington sing with u!! Now Chester sings with the Angels happy almost 47th bday beautiful you’ll forever be 41 an missed ever so much 😢
1:15 I FEEL IT EVERYDAY, I FEEL I'M IN MY WAY, I FEEL IT SWELL UP INSIDE, SWELL UP INSIDE SWALLOWING ME... It sounds exactly like Part of Me. Wish he sang that one live.
Chester's biggest dream was to be a vocalist for Stone Temple Pilots. I'm so happy he was able to live out that dream before he left us. RIP Chester, and more so, RIP Scott.
So no one is gonna mention the fact that kid Chester went up to in the beginning definitely still remembers that till this day and probably one of his most cherish memories.
I admit, Chester does a *much* better job than i thought he would. I didn’t think his voice could get that growly. I never should have doubted him. Which brings me to a concern-did no one record that Whiskey concert he did with the surviving Doors and Perry Farrel? I think it was, like, 2005.
Chester Bennington giving STP fans much love and respect here. No doubt Weiland would approve of rocking on with the band like this. Sad we lost Chester also.
Every single Grunge singer was special. And the oddest thing was, NONE of them could do eachother, but they could do them justice. Bennington, Weiland, Stayley, Cornell, Cobain, you name it. they were the fucking gods of a golden age of rock. Absolute pure emotion and nothing left behind, set aside any kind of training whatsoever. every one of them were born to sing.
