@@emoggaming9216 imagine saying someone is shoving their biased plans when they literally gave a disclaimer at the beginning saying do what you want this is just my opinion lmao
@@julianjolts5050 altho opinions can be changed by looking at other perspective and defending everything with just its just an a opinion is dumb although giant is the best one the ability to skip a biome is insane especially with how difficult high peak castle is with demons and guards and distellery peak with their traps
I found conjunctivius the easiest to beat out of all bosses. The first mini boss at the entrance of Morass of the Banished scares me more than Hand of the King.
How ? His hentai tentacles and bullet hell are the worst to handle. It's so Random. The bullet hell migh not so bad since it has clear trajectory and you could parry back to hurt the boss. Conceirge and Mama Tick are the easiest. They don't have so much bullshit to handle.
@@arik2216 i don't know. I can do Conjunctivius hitless. It just feels extremely easy to me. I don't think I've died once to Conjunctivius. Mama Tick and Concierge are okay I guess.
@@arik2216 I'm not sure about Mama Tick. If you root Conjunctivitis, you stick it down and it's dead. Same for the tentacles. But Mama Tick? Yeah, that up-stab attack reeks of RNG.
@@ryanhernandez8324 just go corner and roll/parry when you get an attack indicator under you, not hard rly. Mama tick also goddamn MELTS most of the time, especially with anything lightning based
I would also add my humble opinion that the amount of possible randomness on top of the base rewards (speaking of challenge rifts, cursed chests, legendaries etc) makes the choice of the biome a more of a recommendation than a must. The game is already based on repetition, there is no need to lock yourself to specific biomes all the time on top of that. Sure you might increase your average power per run, but try not to decrease your fun in the process)
Is unbelievable that depth you can go in this game, personally I didn't think half of all this while doing my runs. Discovering this is really fun, thank you so much
The one with bouncing barrels was hell man I was having a really awesome run with all yellow items at +VII rarity and upgraded just entered the room and bam the enemy barrel with legs kills me one hit
@@jesselukes3956 I just started playing again. Got the Tesla coil blueprint the second time I went to it and I’ve not touched it since. I thought the exploding barrels were going to be the worst aspect then I met the suicide mimics,
played this for about 25 hours back in 2018 when it released, stopped playing because I discovered hollow knight then sorta forgot about dead cells. getting back into it has been really pleasant, the devs have really made this game great. and these guide are super helpful so thank you!
For me hollow knight was the game like this I ever played that really made me like difficult/metroidvania/roguelights(I hope I spelled those terms right lol). Since then I played hades, returnal, cult of the lamb, slay the spire, and now dead cells, which super has me addicted. I always wish more games had stories like hollow knight but dead cells has great combat. Maybe I'll use the confidence coming off this game to finally try to get into blasphemous.
Good stuff, man. I'm in 5BC and I was taking concierge route because it was easier. I've been going other routes and with the incramount of scrolls I've made it to spoiler boss twice. I think I'm getting close to beating him. Great analysis!
I've been hooked to your Dead Cells videos for days now. Really glad I found your channel, learned a fucktone of info. I've only recently started playing Dead Cells and I'm currently on 2BC so your videos are really helpful.
Fantastic vid as always, you manage to be informative, entertaining, and relaxing all at the same time! Also, unrelated note - I *LOVE* the One Step From Eden music in the background
Fun fact: hattoris katana actually completely removes your hitbox per swing, meaning enemies like spiky’s and even aoe attacks cannot actually hit you if you are swinging. First time met mama tick and no hit her by constantly swinging during all the phases. It does take a bit of luck but hattoris is honestly so broken since enemies also don’t notice your existence provided you are swinging upon getting within their line of sight.
6:45 imo Toxic sewers is also ok with this build, as explosion is burst damage, telluric shock is great for crowd control and door might be used in case of some rats or enemies out of ground
Excellent video and really high quality, this feels like a good step up from previous videos. I think the next patch is going to fix the scroll count in the new biomes according to the patch notes. You can go a bit further with these choices in that you can plan to optimise your scroll fragments in the late game stage. If it's possible to have it so you get exactly the right amount of scroll fragments by the time you get to Hand of the King you can possibly avoid a biome that would have been slightly more difficult but would have given you a useless extra scroll fragment. I think that's more specific to 5BC though.
loving these videos dude, you’re really chill and always teaching me something new. i definitely need to put more thought into my pathing, at 3bc things like this are starting to matter a lot more
Hearing the Hades and Gungeon music broke my brain for a second haha. Great soundtracks all around! Also great video, time to learn how to get further in this game :)
This was a great video. Exactly what I needed for where I am skill wise. Thanks again for your great Dead Cells content, it has been shining above the rest of the stuff out there.
650+ hours on Steam, made it to 2BC but stopped playing after the 1st DLC due to life issues, and just started back up. Had to relearn everything from scratch and having issues getting past HoTK at 1BC, but your videos have been so helpful, I just wanted to say thank you.
Hey man, I love your videos! They help me a bunch. I am a casual gamer and I suck at this game. After 103 runs I finally beat the Hand Of The King for the first time. Now I am excited to learn more about the true depth of the game :) So thanks a lot again!
Great video! I love this game and its pretty overwhelming how little of the game I've thought about or engaged with; your video is gonna make me play this in a completely different way!
Such a great video! I played dead cells for a very long time but then stopped to play some other games, but this will definitely help me get back into dead cells again
It's so weird to me that you don't even mention enemy types that can snipe you through walls. Inquisitor, Blowgunner, Impaler, and Arbiter combined probably make up 80% of my deaths in dead cells.
sooo... A couple things, promanade and ramparts are good for 2 reasons: explosive crossbow and speed. both are quicker and smaller biomes than most others and can be used to get a lot of cells via timed doors and explosive crossbow is one of the best ranged weapons in the game (not including paid dlc) also ramparts is needed to unlock custom mode and vine rune so if you want to reach toxic sewers and conjuctivus, you need promanade and ramparts
As of now, I'm on 4bc working to beat HOTK before 5bc (which I've acquired) and this guide definitely provided some insight against the bosses especially. Hopefully many people see this. I've shared it with a buddy of mine who's also working their way up, so I'm hoping this will help them out. Thanks so much for making, and I have a good feeling this video will do pretty well!
Great guide! I'm new to this game, and I reached a place called "Lighthouse", with some annoying guys persuing me! The point is that I don't see that Lighthouse in your maps!
Tip for dealing with flying enemies if your not in a hurry and have the rune: just use homunculus. Most flying enemies will die before your head returns. This can let you effectively clear out any room of flying enemies that looks like it might get too dangerous.
This is great., big fan of the editing, and i honestly agree with your guide, though i'm guilty for being careless to what levels i go. I did nail the early game quiz but that's honestly from the 2k+ runs i've done, so that's what I get to choose the most lol.
for your quiz section. i feel like knowing where you put your scrolls and bot just which one is the highest due to the color of your items is necessary for accurate participation from my perspective. i kinda just skipped ahead to ur answers because i didn’t think i had enough information to digest the questions thoroughly
This video is hilarious to me because the route I've been sticking to for trying to get the 4th BC (which I didn't realize came from the Giant until after I killed HotK on 4BC...). My route starts with the first two biomes and first boss you said are the worst 😅
the fatal falls biome is honestly going to be a better choice than before with the new legendaries rework of 3.0. Still I will (as probably many others) need to evaluate the worth of taking a late game legendary and risking a different build so late into the run. Its tbh rng dependent and scary to make such a gamble. also can't wait for a new biome check for the queen dlc.
How do you determine whether to go for Queen or Hand now? I feel like Shipwreck is a LOT easier than Castle, even though I’ve only gone through Shipwreck like twice. Queen might possibly be easier than Hand, but then there’s the additional level of the Lighthouse…
If you have at least 32 stats or more Servant or Queen should be an easy encounter but platforming fight I find the hardest fight than anything in this game especially at 5BC.
I'd like to add on to your guide. The way I see it is that do I need damage or do I need healing? Damage route: Toxic sewers > Corrupted Prison > Ancient Sewers > Conjectivus > Graveyard > Cavern > Giant > High Peak > Boss Healing route: Promenade > Prison depths > Morass > Mama Tick > Graveyard > Forgotten Sepulchre > Giant > HOTK I personally like the second route more as it allows you to make mistakes and have fun without playing it too tight.
On 5BC I always use Assassin's Dagger + Phaser, I always choose the hardest biome except Cavern because of Ground Shakers who always end my run and also Distilery with too much traps/bombs
The quiz thing is a good idea, if you didn’t spend 10 seconds explaining it, put a long timer etc. Maybe just give an example and tell where you’d consider going instead of an interactive quiz. Good content tho. Thanks bruh
loool I bought new dlc and visit only new biomes, never took cursed chest in fractured shrines (cause I scared, there are a lot of random things) And I was curios why I'm so weak and can't beat scarecrow (literally doing no damage, even on my fav\best build, scythe ice armor ice granade) MAN, THANK YOU A LOT now, i'm passing graveyard only and wait for updates.
I've been playing the mobile version of the game. Is the "Morass of the banished" "Nest" "Undying Shores" "Fractured shrine" "Masuoleum" "Distillery" available on the mobile version?
Is the caverns meant to have a food store? Idk if im fking blind, but ive read biom guides indicating it supplies food, found nothing regardless of bsc count.
Honestly, I think that with the explosive crossbow, provided you act with a bit of care, you can go anywhere you want... Explosive crossbow is downright broken and able to carry a run on its own
@@Pseychie_DC I understand your logic, my comment wasn't meant as a critic, more like an observation. On a side note keep the good work. Your videos are entertaining and informative.
i'm not sure how to put this, it's more about knowing what's going on around and constantly moving. prepare to run around in circle a bit and quickly locate the shield thing and kill it quickly. or maybe i'm just biased because i'm more attached to that level lol
I have a question what if a new play start dead cells and in the vid it says that those probably are the good things to use in that biome while the new player doesn't have any of those things unlock?
Great video. But what do you think of the idea of choosing the Concierge to try and go for the no hit door, since as you said he is the easiest boss in the game? Perhaps the rewards you'll get for that can make up for the poor loot he drops...
Was there any update or am i missing something.. im now at mid game section... but in my game i only have ramparts as a third map.. doesnot matter if i am in sewers or promenade 🤔 idk if its because i dont have any dlc or have onl 6 hours played and did not unlocked alotof stuff or.. something..
They should make ancient sewers lead to the nest tbh Maybe make you need the spider rune or be on 2bc or something idk But I wanna be able to go to toxic sewers and mama tick lol
Dang, I'm like what's a scroll fragment... I don't know because I'm still trying to get third boss cell 😂 ... I really need to start practicing with different builds. I've gotten comfortable specing into Survival and using two slotted bow weapons. I literally have never played trying to parry yet with shields. I love the game but there's just so much to keep in mind if you wanna survive.
