We need some closure after D3's DLC 2:22 It's because of the PS5 exclusively.. That's where they fucked up at.. That's why the sales weren't godlike. They isolated a lot of Die Hard fans , who didn't own a PS5 , nor could afford 1 to be honest. Unfortunately 😞.. 4:47 It's amazing how history has repeated itself with this Franchise , yet again with poor sales. Poor sales for the wrong reasons at that ..
I think people should start care less about sequels and remakes, getting tired of seeing the same shit we need more games like calisto protocol It felt fresh because it was a new title Made me happy to see something to play in the future New ideas new experiences and challenges so I can think in my mind "I want to try playing this" 50% of remakes and sequels ends up disappointing Most cases it's like I know how this toy works now I'm bored want new toy so I can expand my thinking I want to feel adrenaline rush in my system I think there is people would agree with me but most people like to be stuck in a loop because it feels safe and don't want forget what they already used to it
Callisto Protocol is a massive flop. Cost $162 million to make and didn't break even. As for the game, it's so poorly paced with a crappy story and crappy ending. Too much vent crawling, too much squeezing through crevices, too many QTEs, lame brawler combat, lame guns, crappy save system, janky transition and animation, too many times you're forced to walk, etc... There's so much I didn't like in this game, I found Alone in the Dark (2024), Outcast A New Beginning (2024), Banishers Ghosts of New Eden (2024) or even The Sinking City (2019) far more enjoyable games. I played and finished Callisto Protocol 3 times just to see if the game has redeeming qualities and it's not. It's basically an inferior version of Dead Space in every way.
@@hbm87 I recently just finished Alone in the Dark 7 times, and plan to replay the other games again down the road. I've no plans to ever play Callisto Protocol again because it's just plain boring. Keeping coping just because I listed the following why it's just bad... So poorly paced with a crappy story and crappy ending Too much vent crawling Frequent Stutters Too much squeezing through crevices Too many QTEs Lame brawler combat Lame guns Lame overused jump scares Crappy save system Janky transition and animation Too many times you're forced to walk
The biggest problem with Dead Space is, & has always been EA. Dead Space NEVER needed a remake imo. I never bought it, because EA doesn't get my money any longer on principle. Haven't gotten it for over 10 years. DEAD SPACE 2 isn't just the best entry imo. It's one of the best horror games of the modern age. There's a big chance the remake underperformed, with all the overinflated marketing that EA did for it. Fancy marketing, AAA graphics, ground up animations, engine etc. And EA probably expected it do RE numbers at *FULL PRICE* on consoles that most people didn't and arguably don't own. I hope this new venutre dies quickly tbh. EA isn't a suitable publisher for the genre. And they aren't interested in anything that doesn't *MAKE ALL THE MONEY*. It's the same reason they ran the original franchise into the ground, while inflating the budget with each entry. No Horror franchise not named RESIDENT EVIL can pull that off at the moment. Smart devs and publishers know this, and have made amazing games accordingly. RE's success is a nearly 30 year's worth of hard work, risky business ventures, perserverance and numerous experiments. EA can NEVER match that, by simply throwing money at DEAD SPACE. Let the franchise stay dead, till someone buys its corpse from EA.
Dead Space 1 getting a remake feels quite justified. The original having a silent Isaac Clarke, only for him to to be fully voiced in Dead Space 2 & 3, can be an awkward transition. Giving Issac Clarke a voice in Dead Space 1 Remake rightfully gives his voice actor Gunner Wright full credit now in all 3 games. Dead Space 3 definitely could use a serious reimagining since the original has crappy romantic triangle drama with Richard Norton being such an unnecessary 3rd wheel, and Ellie Langford's character badly butchered. The Elton John-like antagonist was a very annoying and cartoonish villain.
The price point for dead space remake was a joke 70dollars for a 15 years game is a joke and only for next gen if was half of the price would be much better
@mr.sinjin-smyth I agree with most of what you're saying, but it ultimately doesn't matter to me. The original devs wrote themselves into a stupid corner with DS3. Most horror works within a small scale, contained story. What's a DS4 supposed to be? Some post-apocalyptic setting where a resistance fights off sentient moons? Stupid imo. As long as Dead Space is under EA, I won't buy it regardless. So it's as good as Dead to me.
@roksitzenfrei Everything you've said is true, but I can't relate. Nothing with EA's logo gets my money anyways. Haven't bought anything EA for over 10 years. And my gaming experience has been much better for it.
