Just a quick note, any one wanting to use mods with an amd gpu it’s terrible there ghosting all over. There is a work around but it’s not working on most systems.

I guess the whole idea of these versions is to, well, have the original game versions running on modern PCs. Which I find cool enough. If I want updated/enhanced versions of those games, I play the HD versions on the Switch or Xbox or I play the new remakes on my Series X.
The biggest change in this game is Larry's design other than that there's really no other changes this is basically a 1 for 1 remake with very minor changes if not really any at all besides Frank's look but if you're unhappy with Frank's look then you have the option to switch to his original look so if they're giving you the option then you can't complain
Dude, I just saw the first minute of the video and I already have to write here. You know that Resident Evil: Director's Cut is available on Playstation consoles... right? And guess what, it doesn't have trophies. It uses an emulator but there are emulator-based games that have trophies on PS4/5 so it's just that they didn't want to bother. Also, GOG has achievement support. Again, they chose not to add them to the game.
I wouldn't be surprised if I had over 500 hours on the original on 360, I wasn't intending to ever play that game again cuz I've more than had my fill of it, but your last video about the quality of life updates has me reconsidering 🤔
I'd like for them to come out and tell us stuff too, but at the same time, you know that whatever Capcom would tell us would most likely be a lie or half-truth. And we'd also only be getting their side of the story and we'd have to take it at face value. What if they came out and were like, "Ah ya, TJ was a cunt or whatever, wanted a million dollars, so we told him to fuck off." We'd have to take that at face value. So in that scenario are we that much better off? Not really. People also say it's cause he's union, which maybe, but he was in RE2R, so does that even matter? Just a theory, but I think it's in a union VAs contract to be paid slightly more when returning to a role and Capcom is too fucking greedy to pay TJ $5 extra dollars to say a few new lines. Cause I can't imagine they changed much about the script, since it's just a remaster and not a remake. Same script, mostly the same cutscenes, and maybe some new side quest dialog or plot hole-filling dialog or whatever, so it couldn't have been that much more money they'd have to shell out to TJ. They're just being greedy cunts, like always, to be honest.
Let's not forget that they also censored some of the women's tops. I get the feeling "Erotica" will no longer be a part of the game's scoring system which will be a shame if gone.
Which is funny considering it was the category that give you most prestige points, was easiest to obtain in large xp numbers, had 3 characters connected to it (Jessica, Kent, Cheryl) and had joke with Janet.
Just because Larry doesn't have slanted eyes and an extremely yellow complexion, it doesn't necessarily mean that they race swapped him. He still looks Asian. Instead of jumping to conclusions and losing your minds over this, let's be rational and wait until more information comes out or until the game is released.

How is the online for DR2? Is it still alive or is only pc port empty? I swear I cant get anyone to match with on pc, but my friend on console can find people. Is it regional thing? Because I never had chance to ask someone else who owns ps4 port if its cross matchmaking or region.

@MatthewPorter-r9l Not exactly... I have Sourcenext (Japanese PC port) and I can easily enjoy with HD graphics by downloading & installing Classic Rebirth DLL file.
There are video/resolution options in the DX wrapper portion under the GoG options, before you launch the game. GoG has actually gone above and beyond with this, to maintain a "pure" version of the game while adding modern controller support. However, the PC port hasn't aged well at all. The cinematics are pixellated and run at the original PS 12FPS and the backgrounds look worse than the OG PS version due to modern, higher resolution monitors/compression. I'm glad these games exist if only for the sake of preservation.
Why would Cheryls outfit need to be changed? I wouldn't be surprised if they censor other erotic content that was in the original game. Could it even be called deluxe if they remove original character designs or animations? Then again they're making this game for modern gamers 😐. The game looks great. I just wish they wouldn't alter the appearance of certain characters just because it might be offensive for todays defense audience.
@@andrewromero6913 Why should I? I have the original game, I dont need pretty graphics and pc culture in my game. Capcom is too lazy to fix Off the Record bugs, cant add Case Zero and Case West on PC and to this day didnt fix Dead Rising 3 on PC.

Because in Mexico you have the freedom to use satire in a product like that and Vietnam dispite also being a dictatorship (like China) either isnt a big enough market for capcom to bother or they dont censor things related to the vietnamise people/culture as harsh as China. It’s fine. Was Larry an offensive stereotype? Probably. But more importantly he was probably the most bland and weakest designed psychopath in the game. It don’t think improving things is to always mean it’s being censored.

all a few people have done is whine about the gog release....not realizing you can put mods on it. its an old game dude. i get the fmv is at 10fps but the game is running smooth as butter. i have had zero issue cept for the 10 fps fmv cutscenes. the game is getting updated as well fixing any bugs too. i think people got spoiled with a certain mod (rebirth) which you can actually install to this version.... im just happy the game works and is actually a decent port. the whole point of this was not only make this available to be purchased legally but to preserve it. if it aint good to you thats you man but good lord im getting tired of this already and its been out for what 3 days.

This type of censorship is literally the kind that 1984 warns you about the most. Leads to doublethink and doublespeak. It's one thing to be able to remove the truth. Its another to have the truth be known but actively fought against.
This is a company changing how a character looks to avoid any backlash from portraying negative stereotypes (he still looks somewhat asian, and may be Chinese with a few changes.) Racist caricatures usually aren’t accepted anymore and haven’t been for a while, so this really isn’t anything new. It’s barely censorship at all. Things change to appeal to modern audiences. The real censorship you should be worrying about is the stuff that is being censored in the news or by the government. If you want to see real censorship, look at China, North Korea, and Russia. At the end of the day, this is a game and the creators can do whatever they want with it. You can still play the original with your uncensored Chinese butchers if you want.
