Clive Barker's Undying. Yes, the graphics have aged poorly, it came out in 2001 after all. But atmosphere and scares? Unmatched to this day. Or maybe I'm biased idk.
@@mcelfy1006 I wasn’t talking about Dead Space? What are you talking about? I gave an example of another horror shooter that has scary.. um scares. Clive Barker’s Undying came out in 2001
I think this will a be a great walk down memory lane... But I wished they used the twinkle twinkle little start song again. That really captures it's essence.
Yep, feels like some hollywood adventure spooky time with the choice of music this time, they really missed out on the eerie / isolation feel inducing music. Here's hoping the gameplay and music still carries the horrory vibes of the past and not some ridiculous action skrillex music during tense moments lol.
Can't fucking wait, this game was and still is an amazing master piece for it's time. I can't wait for this game to drop. I will definitely be picking it up. I had to replay all three just for the build up of anticipation lol. Great games 🤘
@@scramblingblambles8715 Yeah. But if talk seriously, I really want to play the game. I love the Dead Space universe. But I joked about mom, because Nicole in the trailer is too old to be Isaac's girlfriend or wife. She looks more like his mother. While Isaac looks very young in the trailer, Nicole looks very old. In the original, she generally looked more like a teenager. Here she looks like a woman in her 40s.
It does suck that dead space 3’s story had more influence on the remake. It at least is doing good hints here and there… but the cutscenes of the necromorphs is a bit questionable… I would hope that the cutscenes is optional and we can avoid it or get a alternate scene. Also I hope there is a enemy randomizer just to keep it more interesting in replays. Maybe different stuff like in Prey Mooncrash? Also I really wish Limon stayed as the voice actor.
Considering there has been an entire mini documentary on how they made the Captains transformation in the Remake, I’d say it would be incredibly hard to avoid that spoiler unless you completely stayed off the internet. Also, I’d like your genuine opinion; are you upset that they changed the Captains transformation from “behind glass” to a non-interactive cutscene?
@@jomahawk7488 If you ask me, the fact he's in the thick of it makes it more tense. You can tell he's shocked, surprised and it's obvious it's dangerous. It sets the mood perfectly. I think people give too much flak for what non-interactive cutscenes can do.
@@physical_insanity idk issac would t hug a transforming necro he would just put it down then grab it that’s how the whole loot system works you have to kill everything in the room first
@@physical_insanity also not saying it’s a bad cutscenes it’s actually badass but it would have had a bigger impact if everyone actually saw for the first time mid game
definetly hyped for this, its one of the few games i am excited for still though in a messed up way im a bit curious on how the death scenes will be like, comparing this to callisto protocol it did show death scenes in its trailers, but theres so sign of them in the dead space trailers so far mainly since dead space is known for being brutal
Dead space and Doom 3 were the most scary games I've ever played. Projected on the largest wall in the house with full surround sound. A few drinks and a split or 2. The atmosphere music and sounds were Terrifying. We used to jump of the couch and scream and look around us to see where the monsters were!!!! Fucken best trip ever!!!!!
@Alex Gremlin TLDR: These two games are VERY different. Callisto Protocol will not prepare you for Dead Space, and I'm so very jealous of you haha. As Kyle said, Callisto will not prepare you for Dead Space at all 😂 I really do envy you though, I would LOVE to experience it for the first time again. Main differences between the two games; -Callisto is focused on melee combat (which is down to personal taste whether you like that or not), Dead Space is a shooter. Main difference this causes is that in Callisto, as long as you crowd control, you're practically untouchable/unkillable once you get the dodging down. Whereas in Dead Space, there's no such dodging mechanic, if you allow yourself to get swarmed before you manage to pick off the enemies, you're in trouble. You are not immortal in Dead Space, far from it. - The story for Dead Space is FAR FAR greater, with a lot more depth and nuance to it. Audio logs in Dead Space are more plentiful and do a fantastic job of fleshing out the story, both main story and lore. - The environment of the Ishimura is far more unnerving than Black Iron Prison, because it feels like a real workplace - a nasty workplace at that. It's both impressive and unsettling to be in. Gives off that hard graff industrial work environment where workers are seen more of a number than real people. The world feels lived in. Black Iron Prison feels very generic futuristic Sci-fi, doesn't feel fleshed out or genuine to me. - Enemy design and variation are worlds apart. Not only are Necromorphs far more visually imposing and terrifying than the Biophage (which, let's be honest... They're just space zombies), Necromorphs are more deadly, have multiple attacks, and the variety is so much larger than the Biophage. Off of the top of my head, I can think of about 10 different types of Necromorphs (not including boss fights), all with their own distinct design and play patterns. As opposed to the Biophage where there's arguably only really 2 types of enemy (I don't count the little face huggers or the testicle sack face huggers because they're more like scripted QTE'S that you press Triangle to complete). - Callisto is more of a cinematic experience to me, whereas Dead Space is more immersive. In Dead Space, I'm not constantly pulled into cutscenes or forced to watch my character refuse to move faster than a casual walk because he's busy chatting with someone, I'm left to play through the game naturally. The only thing breaking the game up in Dead Space was the tram system which broke up the levels, which the remake has scrapped. - Above all else, the fear factor. Callisto is not remotely scary unfortunately, whereas Dead Space still sits as one of the scariest games I've ever played (all completely subjective I know).
LOL love how they are still not acknowledging Isaac's stiff posture as opposed to the original's always moving hunch back posture showcasing just how scared for his life he was.
The first had terror suspense action. I didn't care how times I played dead space one that feeling of dread never left. What great story. Number two had a good amount of fear with it and a bit of insanity of was he insane or was the world. Going back into that ship had a pucker about it that was hard to shake. Three was a good game I enjoyed it amazing game worth playing many times. Reboot oh yeah it's gonna be epic.
Very cool Trailer but it doesn't give me the Shivers as the Lullaby Trailer did back then. I got my Copy today and can't wait to start playing tomorrow.
The lucky people are the ones that never got around to playing the original Dead Space and now they get the whole new updated experience for the first time. I hope they got some new jump scares.
Even now, we see them. Glowing bright, drawing us near. Soon, we will be there. Soon, we will unite. All worlds will be consumed and become one. We will all be made whole.
Marvelous. Now imagine a DS4. After earth's attack. Isaac and Carter have rounded up some survivors and made it to a colony world. Most survivors end up on this colony world. Turns out there are several colonies with humans on it that are surviving. For security reasons that coordinates are kept secret. - Trying to protect their colony, Isaac and Carter, or just Isaac, discover that there is another marker... And scientologists still aren't happy.
Ну прям не сурвайвл хоррор, а героический блокбастер, в котором Айзек Кларк будет рубать некроморфов в капусту как думгай в doom:) Вот просто сравните "это" и трейлер оригинального дед спейс, просто земля и небо!!!
The original horror game that scared the crap out me and God I wanted to quit playing soooooo many times it was so f***ing scary but I did but I couldn't do a second playthrough still got scared sh**less 😂 can't wait to play it mines has been pre-ordered now I wait for h*ll to be unleashed once again😅😱
Maybe it‘s just me - but I think the cutscene with the captain makes this scene less creepy than in the original. I hope they held back on things like this in the full game..
I think that remakes of games are new future, why?Because now we have enough technology to show what games devs really wanted to show back then. F.ex. Duke Nukem 3D, Blood, Silent Hill, Diablo I, Baldurs Gate, Fallout (oh I wish I could play this in 3D with RTX), System Shock 2, Dino Crisis, Turok, Quake, Unreal, etc etc
This seems more like a cross between Dead Space 2 and 3. 2 was still a great game but not nearly as scary and tense as the first. While the 3rd was just kinda too action based...this game seems to well lit.
