Today The IRC Tire Guy breaks down how to conquer Uphill, Downhill, Sidehill and Crooked logs! Double blip Technique • Mastering the Double B... Stuff and Smash Technique • The Technique EVERY Ha...
Lot's of good information here. I'd like to see this technique on semi-rotted hemlock that is still solid but with no bark, wet and humid, on an angle in an eastern woods setting. In that condition, you are essentially hitting a piece of smooth ice with your wheels. My crashes are spectacular.
I love this channel! I sit here in my cubicle dreaming about riding and I also get to listen to some tips on how to ride better so I can ruminate and then put them to use when I get to ride I suppose. I rode to work today too. Might have to get some practice on my lunch break!
Rich , I enjoy and share your videos often and can't tell you how much truth there is to some of the tequines you described. I ride hard enduro in the Western Mountains of VA and I'm all over the bike with serious front and rear body position to deal with different situations. Most if my friends and I now all run the VE33S and simply love it between 4 5psi and 6psi depending on conditions. Thanks for all the great videos. Love IRC for sponsoring you!!!
Hey Rich, once again want to let you know your tutorials are appreciated , awhile back I realize that needed to definitly focus on the basics and your videos have been great! so it's been good to watch them.
You have an excellent way of explaining technical skills and the videography was well done and timed with your descriptions. Very well put together and helpful for us gumbys amd muppets. Thank you.
When I was a kid riding with my dad a lot I noticed that you had to hit down trees straight on. Every time I hit one I did weird angle with rotto soon as that's spinning back higher hits the tree the bike takes out slides on the tree like I'm grinding a rail on a skateboard. So everything you said in the air makes sense to me thanks rich
You’re so good at all this. I totally know how to do all of what you’re explaining. But actually executing it is where my problem comes in. Especially when I’m fatigued. Was gonna post a video of gnarly rock riding but I was all wrong, bad body position etc. so no video.. thanks for the great techniques explained!
Really enjoy your videos and like the way you teach.I am a x offroad racer that has been riding trials since 2017 and have been mainly riding offroad again because that is what I love. After riding trials I find riding single track in upper Michigan not as much fun as the more extreme hard riding.I luckily have the site of the mad moose national Enduro to play and crash in.Your vidio,s inspire me to become a better rider.
@@aboutfaceretreats6562 By Marquette Michigan in sands township. No hard Enduro this year but will have the loose moose Enduro which is a hoot.Check the district 16 race schedule.Lower Michigan is district 14.
When I see a log over a trail, I can be pretty sure I'll have it for myself. Few logs and a deep slick mud field are always good starts to a trail :) .
Could you do a break down between the VE35 and IX-05H front tires? Or if you already have a good explanation could you point me towards that video. Thanks
Thanks Rich for tips. It's as always very interesting. You probably have already planned it but could you please talk about your suspensions settings for the differents fiels and terrains you practice on ? When I watch your video they look pretty soft. And some riders say they make them harder than original setup. Thanks again man !
Great job again. Keep them coming. Mad Moose Hard Enduro was so awesome last weekend. I used your techniques many times and I became more efficient and less tired. If you even come to Michigan let me know. I'm heading to Moab November. Come do some training for our group!?
Earlier this year on a trail I called "the log hop trail" we had a log that was about 18", elevated, on a side hill, at an angle on the approach and up hill. Comedy ensued!
Had to complain at our local spot, the hare scramble guys they were holding races for were using some of our single tracks and cutting trees and moving rocks to make it easier for them! Wtf, cool bro you can do 3-4 gear hauling ass through groomed tracks but can’t hop rocks or logs...
Hey Rich, aside from protective kit on the bike do you ride with the stock gray throttle cam or the sporty black one? I am curious if there is an advantage or not with either one for hard enduro. Cheers. 👊🏽✊🏽🤘🏽
When you are explaining how to go over the elevated uphill aspen log, are you pulling the clutch in as you let off the throttle? I'm just getting into the harder terrain so sorry if this is a stupid question.
Haha! Sometimes we have to of course. It's also true that some aren't good enough to make it over and they go around, which can get trails shut down if the area is strict with staying on the trail. But just as I said if you have the opportunity, take it as a challenge!!
@@IRCTireUSAMoto absolutely, I often wish it was more possible to leave deadfall in a lot more places, but as you mention it can be a sore spot for the usfs and get trails closed.
@@MrZachalewel there's a bunch of great singletrack out in Santa Clara. Its getting hot out, so I usually try to be hitting the trails when the sun comes up. What are you riding?
Usually i just wheelie and squeeze the bike with my legs while i shift forward my body weight and that lifts the back tire up once it hits the log Im not the best at it but im decent
@@algee8228 it's boring... and janky... and gets annoying quickly because it's just not catchy at all... needs a bit more attitude. Doesnt fit the theme at all for these videos. As a producer, I'm just being honest 🤷🏻♂️
