I can not understand that no one is talking about the fact that they just retconned that "X-men origins Wolverine" is not part of the main X-men universe and that the Wolverine in this movie is the same Wolverine as in X-men Origins, make the joke "The worst Wolverine" even more funnier since X-men origins Wolverine is regarded has the worst X-men/Wolverine movie and most people want to ignore that movie (I know I want to🎉). So the worst Wolverine (movie)😂😂😂😂😂.
The sling ring in this movie DID have a Time and Reality Stone attached to it. You can see them clearly on the sides on the ring when Cassandra shows it.
@@Kink_Shaman a lot of these answers are kind of non-answers or missing key details. Not to hate on screencrush or anything but New Rockstar's breakdown of all the details in the movie covers some of these a lot better.
Paradox also said he didnt want to spend thousands of years watching a timeline slowly unravel (as he thought it was a career dead-end) so he wanted it to end quickly and efficiently so he could move on to more important work that would help him get recognised and get promoted up the leadership of the TVA.
@@liamjones246 Actually it has its own timeline and under normal circumstances your timeline runs in tandem with it and you always return to that point at the TVA (kind of like Gallifrey time in Doctor Who). Was a plot point in Loki that his travelling to the past/future there should have been impossible.
It is a stupid reason/motivation to wipe a timeline . When I watched it my first thought was you can’t be serious. You guys are trying way too hard to fill in the weak plot

"I thought Cable's device was only for time travel, not moving between universes?" Someone forgot about Deadpool killing Ryan Reynolds before he signed up to do that Green Lantern movie...
Well that to me seemed like more of a gag than him actually changing stuff. I mean, our Ryan Reynolds is still alive and Hitler is still in the history books. So i thought that was on earth 10005 timeline where hitler and RR existed.
People complained about Cable's time watch reaching another universe but not Professor Paradox in Ben 10 who is a time traveler but CAN reach the multiverse. Also, the T in the TVA is time. You would think that their limit is past and future, but nope, hello Henry Cavill. See you soon Tobey
Cable’s Time Device was explicitly tinkered with by Yukio at the end of Deadpool 2 so presumably she had something to do with expanding its capabilities
The internet is doing mental gymnastics just to not admit to themselves that D&W might be a really fun spectacle with lots of great jokes and a poorly conceived plot
Calling it now, the void will be the stand in for battle word in secret wars, doom will not build a world he will 'save' hero's by sending them there before their universes are destroyed.
I hope not. I felt bad for him as soon as he sat on that throne, but the sacrifice was deep. Loki needs to find a way to tie the lines together and come back to our screens though, for real
I love these videos because it’s really Ryan and the gang graciously attempting to make sense of things that the writers just didn’t care to think through. Once Elizabeth Olsen said that writers of MoM hadn’t seen Wandavision that burst my “everything is connected in the MCU” bubble real quick
I think he engineered that, like he took a camera into that time bubble the TVA use as punishment, where time loops are controlled, and programmed Johnny to use a lot of language he doesn't actually know, you can tell because he didn't use any Boston swears.
@EthanRom this is the mcu. Everything has to be connected and has to make sense. It is not a comic book. Also the fox universe never made sense it is not a deadpool thing.
Where was all this sentiment from the fans with No way home!? i mean he was supposed to be the next iron man but then he got dumb and he didn't know that he could reapply to college and THATS what almost causes the collapse of the universe!?!? 😂
@@johnniewaiker6203eh if you want a movie involving Deadpool I wouldn’t expect every plot point to be 100% solid. Lmao I mean he literally stares into the camera and talks to the audience. That also doesn’t make sense.
Honestly as a marvel fan, when I watched the movie, i fely nothing but pure joy and happiness. Every single moment felt like I was finding the marvel universe all over again as a kid. And the mid credits scene just makes you appreciate everything everyone did to get to this point in the marvel universe
21:23 yees the sling ring did have the time and reality stone attached to it. Those gems on the side are quite literally those two infinity stone. The clip you showed even featured them. That's why Casandra Nova's sling ring was able to travel to the right part of reality and time they needed to be. The Void exists outside of all space and time so she needed the stones to get them there.
Endgame and What If show the stones being used in other realities, Strange Supreme even used his Time Stone to offset Ultron's. I think it only comes down to the frequency they exist at, if you take them to similar enough timelines, they're probably close enough to be indistinguishable, except for precise things like using the Infinity Crusher.
This is why I love ScreenCrush! I can satisfy the side of me that can initially enjoy the ride of the movie but then also satisfies the other side of me that needs to go back and analyze everything in detail later.
When Deadpool went back in time and saved Vanessa, he didn't stop her from dying, he stopped a variant of her from dying. The Vanessa that truly loved Wade did die, and Wade missed his chance to be with her. Instead Wade took the selfish route and jumped to a different timeline to "save" her. But that Vanessa isn't the one that loved him, which is why they broke up. If Deadpool ever has a 4th movie, they should introduce Death, and Wade's struggle for Death to accept him so he can be with the Vanessa that loved him.
I'm more interested with those deadpool corps running around in earg 10005 I hope the TVA did not get rid of them. I have a feeling the 4th film will focus more on them
13:22 also the beginning of Wade and Vanessa’s conversation is that she’s basically being an Uncle Ben, saying he has a gift and should use it for good. “Do something that matters”, but because Wade is very for himself he takes it as he has to be someone important to make her happy and that = the Avengers. Happy sums it up by saying the avengers don’t fight to be important or to matter, they fight to protect people and the world because the actions matter. Wade took what Vanessa said out of context, before Cassandra played with the memory. He even says Vanessa never said “you don’t matter.” By the end of the movie he realized what Vanessa and Happy meant, and is on the path to becoming someone who does something that matters.
I feel like when the incursion starts to happen, they'll find a way to MERGE the universes fusing both realities merging the 616 without the mutants and the universe with CG Beast to exist together as one, causing everyone to experience the Mendela effect with people remembering one specific history as well as remembering the miniscule differences in recollection
In the comics Cassandra Nova did have more powers than Charles Xavier, including telepathy, telekinesis, regeneration, and phasing. Which is why the movie used her phasing her hands into someone's brain to read minds, in the comics her phasing and telepathy are two different powers. The reason is because she expressed all the powers that Charles's genome could potentially have, including the latent powers that he himself didn't express. The comics is ambiguous about whether the main universe Xavier actually has telekinesis. But in the few instances where it may be interpreted as such, such as in Inferno 2021, it's usually very low level anyway.
We are deep into Phase 5 and the Multiverse Saga and I still don’t know “who are the core characters of MCU? Who am I supposed to root for? Whose journey I’ll be on?” It is taking forever to make Spider-Man 4, and none of the new characters are having their next appearance near the horizon. Where the F is Moon Knight, She Hulk, Ms Marvel, Kate Bishop, Shang-Chi, Eternals, America Chavez??
Domino technically wasn't met yet. He went to the 616 in 2018. Also, it was something he left off the application because it hadn't happened yet. He was keeping it META .... he was trying to save a particular timeline and Universe .... and they elude to him actually saving Peter... because Peter was given a deadpool suit. In other words ... Deadpool changing the past as many times as he did caused that Logan to exist .... and that's why Paradox came to get Deadpool because he changed his timeline causing incursions and nexus events .... by saving Vanessa and keeping all events that caused it. It's why at the end Deadpool 2 he showed us traveling time at the end. Loki called for Deadpool to fix things because he is similar to loki that way
Cable changed his timeline by going to the past 💀 We see this when the Teddy Bear becomes normal again after stopping fire first from becoming a killer
There actually are 2 infinity stones on the sling ring, they work around the TVA now because OB turned off a system that kept all of magic and power inoperative in Loki S2
Juggernaut is very durable but not as tough as adamantium. I remember Wolverine hurting him with his adamantium claws back in Last Stand. His superhuman endurance helped him continue fighting through the pain but the claws did pierce his body.
Once the Juggernaut starts moving nothing can stop him, but he's standing still when Laura cuts him. Even Deadpool 2's Juggernaut starts his arms moving before he tears DP apart.
There's literally a deadpool with no healing ability in the movie. It's a multiverse movie. They can basically make any character be anything they want.
@@anthonybowman3423 I was agreeing with the point that Laura should be able to injure Juggernaut. The mutant Juggernaut from X3 was shown to be injured by Wolverine's claws in that movie so it makes sense that Laura can hurt him in this one. I don't know if Juggernaut is tougher than adamantium in the comic. However, the mutant Juggernaut from the movies is consistently shown not to be. I wouldn't be surprised if movie Juggernaut is weaker than comics one. That is very common for adaptations.
Yea that’s the only reason. They said in the video that it didn’t despite Ryan Reynolds literally posting a picture to social media before the movie came out of the ring with the stones attached. They just didn’t have a close up shot in the actual film where you could tell. Idk why they keep refusing to do their research on that.
The ring with the stones had a close up reveal weeks before the movie came out. So it’s p obvious nova got the stones off the strange she killed or maybe strange already had them on the ring. But yea time and reality stone checks it out
@@fleef69 I do remember a close up in the movie where you could see the stones, when Cassandra is explaining the fact that the sling ring has the stones attached. Now I'm wondering if I just dreamt the close up LOL
@@r2r0garza lol yea I saw it twice but figures I would forget something, I guess I was just trying to give Ryan and the team the benefit of the doubt since I didn’t wanna believe they were THAT painfully wrong. Thought enough people would’ve corrected them the first time they missed it.
I think that people take Deadpool's time travel too literally.. Think about it like this. When Cable time traveled, he only traveled through the history of the movie. However, Deadpool is a fourth wall braking character, so even his time travel brakes the fourth wall. He didn't just travel through the history of the movie, he traveled through the history of the franchise! That's how he got to X-Men Origins Wolverine. He even traveled through the history of his own life as an actor with that Green Lantern joke. That's how he got to the MCU, because he knows it's exists. He simply picked a certain time period in the MCU, specifically when they were recruiting for the Avengers, and Bam! he's there. Deadpool is a very zany character, you're not suppose to take it too seriously.
Bingo!! spot on. Just think of it as Deadpool willing this to happen because he can break the fourth wall. The ending of Deadpool 2 basically set the tone for DP and Wolverine when he literally kills Ryan Reynolds.
The Juggernaut in X3 was not invulnerable like he was in the comics. For one thing, he doesn't have the Mystical Armor of Cytorrak, just the telepathy-blocking helmet. This also begs the question, why does Juggernaut in Deadpool 2 look so different from the Juggernaut of X3, and consequently of Deadpool / Wolverine? Is the DP2 Juggs a variant?
I was wondering this too after rewatching DP 2. If the fox universe is the same universe that Deadpool is in, then the juggernaut in X3 should be his juggernaut but also the juggernaut in DP2? I was very confused lol
The stones were absolutely attached to that sling ring. There are official photos and descriptions online and you can see them when she pulls it out of her pocket.
I think everyone was just excited to see RDJ and not so much him being the new Doom. Im not gonna lie this does feel EXTREMELY cheap. Like you said they hit the panic button.
06:18 I have a question about this, because in Deadpool 2, when Cable lets Deadpool stop Russell successfully, his daughter’s teddy bear changes in real time and her blood is removed from the teddy bear, leaving a clean untethered teddy bear in its place. This completely contradicts time travel as established in the MCU and treats it more as one singular timeline, to which time travel affects instantaneously as opposed to creating a new, alternate, timeline. Any thoughts?
Loved the movie, saw it 5 times already. But a (minor?) plot hole I noticed was that why does Deadpool want to prove himself and be an Avenger when he was already willing to sacrifice himself to save the kid in his second movie? He already proved himself a hero. Cable had to travel back in time to prevent it from happening (which apparently in the Fox Universe changing the past DOES change the future like in Days of Future Past). Although one can argue, his sacrifice was that he wanted to finally be with Vanessa in the afterlife and couldn't live without her.
The fan base needs to come to an agreement on what the term “MCU” means. Some people say it as if it’s the entire multiverse (616, Fox universe, Raimiverse, etc.) while others say it as just the 616
I mean the one I agree most with is that the MCU is everything 616, the MCM is everything live action that has been connected to the MCU be it by cameos or mentions
His story is complex and he's aware he's a fictional character with a ability to 4th wall and break into another comics ( universes). Of course there will be plot holes. This the Ryan's way of tryna fix everything. Rome wasn't built in a day.
Hey Ryan! YES the sling ring in this movie had the time and reality stones attached to it. The Green and Red stones on either side are those stones. you can clearly see the red stone in your own video at 21:27. That's what allowed the sling ring to operate and send D & W out of the void.
It makes sense . The MCU BEFORE all the multiverse shenanigans was a universe built on almost 2 decades worth of different movie franchises and TV shows. Now a bunch of other movies and TV shows that were written to deliberately avoid the existence of characters owned by rival production companies have been sort of cannonized to the MCU. They're slowly getting close to being as convoluted as the comics , and with comics when stuff gets crazy enough you can eventually expect a reboot
I mean its so easy to understand compared to Comic Books multiversal shenanigans. Its just that y'all too dumb to comprehend it and just whine and complain because "Its not the thing i like tho"
The thing about the sling rings, we saw them used for multiversal access earlier in no way home. When Ned brings in our other Peters. Never even thought about that until it was mentioned here
*You have a few errors* 21:29 it does have the reality stone and time stone on the side of the sling ring, making it able to travel to different universe.. That IS X-23 from the fox universe, we found out the marvel fox universe was dying and X23 Is a likely candidate who would try to stop it, and it’s been confirmed already that IS the same one. 22:50 no, she just must’ve survived somehow you can’t travel to specific points in the void it’s at the end of time. 24:26 no, literally you showed a screenshot of hunter B15 having the old way how the screens were, it’s a nice thought the way you said it but it might just be a plot hole
21:06 no that sling ring Cassandra had featured two infinity stones time and reality so that means anyone with the ring can travel to any reality at any point of time
i like to think the "shockwaves through the timeline" paradox mentions is just loki having got shivers while watching the events of logan take place. and since hes holding the timeline it caused the timeline to shudder as well. lol
Why do you keep on digging at Jonathan Majors, dude? He was guilty of a misdemeanor. The reaction to his charges are so overblown that you forget RDJ has also had a murky past.
@@Seabreeze843 ‘domestic violence’ is lifting a lot of weight here. Genuinely, did you follow the case.? The dude was trying to run away from his partner. Their driver who’s one of the main witnesses said she was the belligerent one and the ‘violence’ he committed was when he tried to put her on their car so she can go home. But she ran after him. Even if you still considered that as violence, you can’t ignore intention. He wasn’t trying to beat her out of anger. He was trying to get away. I still support the dude personally.
@@Seabreeze843 they’re not but as I said, majors already has gotten work so someone out there already gave him a road to walk on. Whether he sticks to it or does something else to end his career idk
21:26 “Well the sling ring did not have the stones attached to it” > proceeds to show B roll explicitly disproving that 24:21 Paradox is explicitly monitoring a different universe, not the 616 tree. He tells Wade this is your universe. He doesn’t just prefer the old UI lmfao
It's literally one of deadpools powers mate he has regeneration and 4th wall breaking so ye obviously deadpool would know when he already knows he's in a comic books and movies
@21:00 Casandra also had a red and green infinity stone shards in the sling ring so Time and Space were involved in opening the portal for Deadpool and Wolverine.
So you're saying that Tony Stark unknowingly left behind his 4 year old daughter & Pepper Potts to go die for another, almost carbon copy Universe that he thought was the same one while thinking he was "time traveling" but instead was jumping to another Universe
Honestly, the absurdity of the Deadpool movies make the plot holes work, and this one of the few movie franchises where we really don't need to question them. I just assumed it was explained in one of the shows or movies post Endgame
20:45 you miss one important thing, the slingring used in Deadpool had reality stone and time stone attached to the side in other words it was a special slingring
"Worse Wolverine" haha idk why that just never gets old and that defiantly explains why he didn't use his Claws to get through the door instead of ramming it 1st. Great video, Deadpool and Wolverine was a RARE movie I watched twice in theater's iMax at release and 3D on Sunday to hanging with my dad. I generally never do that but this movie was too insanely good from my perspective. It got even better the second time, because I was able to watch it closer.
About the Juggernaut and Laura's claws thing at the end - that Juggernaut also wasnt the "Crimson Bands of Cyttrak" Juggernaut. He is a mutant version from X-Men 3.
I was thinking that we know with Logan in '29 there are no mutants left. The TVA went back a few years of that timeline to find Deadpool because DP is not anymore by '29. This helped me to get a bit of clarity about the timelines and by DP going to 616 and 6 years back we know the TVA can see time as a whole and DP can travel to different times in any timeline.
The part you missed about Dr Stranges sling ring being able to go through universes is that it had the time stone and the reality stone connected to it. Thats what gave it the extra demensional travel abilities.
16:16 This thought could use some expansion. At the end of the movie, Deadpool asks Wolverine (Hugh Jackman); “So, will I be seeing you around?”. Jackman pauses for a second-seemingly to let the anticipation build-before saying “Probably not”. That, to me, felt like sort of a meta joke alluding to this being Jackman’s last (foreseeable/known) performance as Wolverine.
When NTW the Time Watch, she has inadvetently made it into a multiversal device as well, much like the one TVA agents use. What if, that device was the basis of the multiversal device of the TVA? Deadpool knew how to use it, because its functions are similar to his watch. That's a much simpler explanation,. innit?
I appreciate.the explanation and video is excellent. This just convinces that the multiverse is a storyline that needs to be mapped out completely before you start making movies.
You gave Gambit the Donnie Thornburry treatment lol. I laughed so hard. Also now it makes sense. The Sling Ring had the Time and Relaity Stones in it, could that have been the possibility of how to move to different spaces in realities in the multiverse, but this magician that was pruned out of their reality and into the void, so that makes the stones work into that affect? I assume.
My favorite way to describe it is by using the Aspen trees in Utah as an analogy. A single aspen tree is a universe. The branches on said tree are timelines. And the gigantic root system underground connecting all of the aspen trees is the Marvel Cinematic “multi”Universe. If there were monkeys jumping between the trees and branches, that would be our hero’s like Deadpool and Wolverine etc.
Anchor Beings are gears passing Anchorness from one Anchor to the next. In a full stretch of that timeline, each Anchor in essence are predestined, connecting all of time, all at once. If you pluck out a gear/Anchor your machine breaks down at a pace depending on their importance.
Okay so I have a really good question that I've been constantly thinking about since the movie came out that I can't figure out, In an interview, Hugh Jackman said that he was "done with the character" & was going to tell Ryan Renolds "no" to doing this movie because he said he had done everything he wanted to do with the character, but that one day he was driving with his kids when he said he had an "epiphany" & figured out something that he really wanted to do with the character that he had never done before, which led him to agree to do the movie if only he could do that 1 thing. What was that 1 thing? Was it him being a drunk? Was it him being the cause of all the X-Men dying? Was it having another actor being depicted as Wolverine?
probably wolverine being part of MCU ... all other movies were Fox movies, separate from MCU. And he will definitely be back for Secret Wars so this will not be his last movie
@@muchanic no because he said he was going to tell Ryan Renolds "no" to doing this movie the first time he asked, & he already knew that Marvel had bought the rights to Deadpool. Meaning he knew it was going to be an MCU movie already, so that can't be it.
