Dean gets together with pal Ben Davies to discuss these excellent shore fishing rods and compare the two models. Both anglers put the rod's through their paces, talk technical stuff and give us their verdict.

The addition of the glass tip to the range is a game changer….. I use a t900 and if it’s anywhere near that tip, oh boy it will be special…… and British made at a very good price, think it’s going to be a hit 👍
A very good century rod casting review the 2 men in this video Explains all about the century rod's and shows us the century rod in action thank you gentlemen very best wishes from Ben 👍 👌
Great vid.. couldn't come at a better time for me as i have a pair of the 13ft carbon fireblades but, im finding i need to use 7oz and bait a lot more than 6oz these days so was considering the 14ft and have always said a glass tip on the fireblade would be perfect to set them into the tide a bit nicer. Would be really interested to see you fish a session with a pair of these Dean to see how they fish and sit in the tide etc..
Reluctant to upgrade from my blackrock Competition surf 13ft 10as I absolutely love them but will defo be looking at the fireblade carbon tip I may have to
Hi Dean, Hope you are well. I really enjoy your videos hopefully you have some new ones coming soon. How are you getting on with the fireblade 14ft gt. I have the original 13ft ones wish the gt was out then.
For a British made rod for £325 is a steal ,next step up is £6~700 pounds which is a lot of money to invest for any angler . I have a century bass xk3 that’s probably 30 years old and still stands up with todays rods ,testament to British manufacturing & engineering same as the zippies loads going 30plus years later !
Havnt checked for abit but i hadnt seen a propper review of this rod, i miss my zziplex m427 hiflex which if even 2nd hand now would cost more than this rod new. Would consider it if i could get my hands on ine to try.
Which one glass tip or carbon tip would be best suited to fixed spool and off the ground or over head cast mainly essex/Kent area I haven’t done a lot of beach fishing for many years and all my fresh water rods are century so I trust the brand being able to hit 160-170 yards with fresh water rods in 13ft but looking at doing more sea fishing .
Hi Dean iv been watching ur video s seen u test the fireblade GT hen.s I went out and got 1 you said u had 1 yet iv never seen a video with u useing them
Don’t forget these Rods are the budget end of the range you might say entry level. May not suit all seems a very good review by these lads. I’d be interested in seeing them used by used by some match anglers and big casters to get a full review.
