Used to trainspot on the links at Burntisland. A3's like Spearmint and others were well loved. Your wonderful video brought those days back. We played football there, between 'spots'. Great days overshadowed by the scrappings occuring.
Hi Dave great video that is one truly amazing locomotive, I stood on the foot plate of the Flying Scotsman in the 1960's it is a awesome train. Regards George..
Dave, great video but I'm sure it was better to be there! Can't capture everything on video, but damn good try my friend. Thanks so much for sharing. Cheers David Muse
Excellent to see and with 12 boogies on {plus a 47 bringing up the rear}. Also if you listen very carefully you hear someone writing out a car parking ticket as well. LOL.
Richard Knox I've seen her running without a 47 on the rear occasionally; in many cases it's there not to provide extra traction but merely to provide electricity to the coaches.
Richard Knox as james said there to give electric to the coaches :) as you can see there is no generator coach, it all so usually helps to pull it into a depot after runnijg again
