@@jkatkat7950you’re a fool if you think capaldi was good. Matt smith was brilliant, but unfortunately show runners were running out of time of good creative ideas, it was a bit hit and miss. By capaldi, show writing was abysmal and only tennants return had me interested to maybe watch it with the family, but I’m glad my son was in bed.
As to "mavity", sigh. The word gravity was derived from the Latin gravitas (weight) and had been in use for centuries before Newton - he knew it and would have recognised Donna's use of it. Hooke had already concluded that it was a mutual attraction between bodies and building on that Newton's contribution was to mathematically define its nature. He invented neither the concept nor the word. Doctor Who has always involved a large dollop of pseudo science and frankly fun claptrap. But where known science is involved the show has usually been faithful to it. Until recently... I reckon Davies is far more familiar with Harry Potter than O level maths, physics, chemistry and biology - which is generally the level on which the show has operated. I'm the same age as the character Donna. There's no way any British person of that generation (unless they'd done very specific and unusual military service) would know the USAF anthem. Okay, so she had a weird music teacher. But then the problem is that virtually no British viewer of my age or younger would know the song. So it's aimed at an American audience of course - but at the expense of almost all of its existing audience.
Truly bizarre that there is no substantial mention of why the Doctor has done a regen-repeat for the first time. Although I haven't watched since about halfway through Capaldi, so maybe it isn't that bizarre.
@@TheSixthDoctor yes I do remember, I can't see why it is relevant since that was just "oooh look, Tom Baker, I remember him" fan service with no information on who or what the curator was. Essentially the same issue this story has.
It used to be before it went woker than a woke thing on steroids, and became an agenda pushing piece of unwatchable garbage, apart from that it's OK....
