I loved the game, but my one disappointment has always been that, from this trailer/intro sequence, it felt like it was going to be a quality sci-fi horror game, even eldritch(/truly alien unknown) horror. What we got was a high fidelity social hiking simulator with just some of that stealth horror seasoned on top as garnish, which is still good in its own right.
I'm just talking out of my ass here, but it seems like the aliens are looking for the baby, which may or may not be a hybrid of a human/alien (which is why it had the same black hand prints as the aliens like we saw in the first teaser trailer we got years ago). Still not sure about the handcuffs on this character and the other one who went in the tunnel in the last trailer we saw (even though they're wearing opposing cuffs), or how the stomach surgery symbolism comes into play, or how the baby even got inside of this character. My brain hurts just trying to piece together what I just watched. Goddamn it Kojima. :(
I'm thinking that this game will be random, serious, terrifying, and funny. But I still don't know. At least it looks like the creators are having fun.
Well, you were certainly right: many people weren't ready for it, and didn't expect what's largely a chill-out game with collaborative online construction and a delivery hiking sim sandbox

Pez games Looks like something(an explosion of some magnitude?) triggered an invasion(accidental or otherwise) by extradimensional/paranormal beings/monsters. The overlapping/bridging of our two realities could be resulting in non-linear time fluctuations and terrain alteration or causes hallucinations. It does seem like Psychic powers have been 'unlocked' in New Generations of Children giving them the ability to actually see the creatures and gives a reason for carrying the infants around on your person. It was displayed that the mechanical arm was being controlled by the infant. The powers also seem to extend to whoever is carrying them as with the floating guy that lands on the truck(he has a similar arm on his back, so I believe he also has an infant) and when Reedus' character gained the ability to see the collosal creature. That's what I think so far.
Timefall: it's basically the rain ever since the death stranding (the end of world) fucked up the rain fast ⏩ the flow of time anything that gets touched by a single drop (except the water in ocean timefall the falls on surface turns to normal water)
Sam is a repatriate, meaning; he can return to life from the place known as the seam, in the seam, follow the black strand to guide sam's soul to his body
Still not interested enough, Kojima. Mostly because I’ve got no idea whatever I am even looking at here. It’s strange, it’s cryptic, it’s almost preachy, but I’ve got no idea whatsoever of what the hell I am looking at. So no, sorry, still not hyped in the slightest.
I think the trailer is meant to get you interested and waiting for more information, not to generate hype. And then, you probably wont even be told whatever is going on when you play the game :D
So does this trailer have anything to do with the in game? Are the paranormal ppl that dangerous is that trech coat guy that powerful, why do the porters kill themselves if they get captured? Why do they even want to abduct ppl who are alive and not the dead ones? And WTF IS THAT GIANT THING SUCKING EVERYTHING IN, does it explain that in game do you even see it or is it a scene in the game or something?
