Debunking Totally False and Wrong "Reasons I Don't do Remap" video from the Philippines 

What I understand about engine tuning like remap is you adjust the capability of the engine to be more responsive and increase the power to max potential of the engine within its designed limit. So the stock components is still capable without upgrade or breaking. Modern engines has safety factor that no tuner or remap could step beyond the limit of engine capability. So basically, the stock is default setting, like your smartphone you could boost the performance from its default setting as you prefer.

You know what's more expensive? Buying a car in the first place

Noah's garage should stick to replacing cabin filters, reviewing obd scanners and promoting led lights. He literally has black rhino wheels on his montero and says remap is expensive, bro, it costs less than half the price of those wheels.

This proves that not all channels that have thousands of subscribers are knowledgeable. Most are charlatans.

Bigger brakes following power upgrades only matter in track cars where the extra power allows a higher top speed before the next corner. The brake upgrades will generally reduce fade and increase longevity handling the higher speeds better compared to stock brakes.. not sure why people think this is relevant to remapped street SUVs and family cars.

It's simple, your car your rules Also depends on how you will use your car, tuning will depends on your purpose, the pros of tuning are: remove rev limiter on neutral, remove speed limit, increase boost, remove throttle delay, some tuning make cars less gas consumption

When he said Montero I immediately recognized him as Noah's Garage. Some of his points makes 50% though. Increase fuel consumption? Only if you full throttle it often. Add other upgrades like exhaust, air filter, etc., depends on the mapping. If you have upgraded turbo or turbocharged your stock 1.8 Elantra for example then it is recommended to do so. Upgrade your brakes? Unless you go on kamote mode on busy roads or you do high speed too often, then no need to. And now I get it why he somehow hates you because he's afraid his content might get debunked by expert tuners like you.

Do your homework first and ensure your wealth before you jump into conclusions kung gusto mong e upgrade ang iyong sasakyan. Both opinions are correct from their point of views kasi speedlab naman is business. I work onboard ship's engines and based on experience lahat ng kulang o sobra sa engine's parameters are bad. Nasa manual lahat yan ang allowable clearances and those are very vital. Kung normal parameters nga nag ka ka trouble ano pa kaya ang sobra o kulang. Sa choice pa rin ng car owner yan kung mag pa remap basta safety pa rin at ng ibang drivers ang 1st priority proper driving manners lang.

:) True. You can't get extra power for free. Gagastos at gagastos ka talaga. Remapping or Chip tuning is indeed needed if you want extra power, plus if you want to get the maximum output from your other upgrades on you air filters, downpipes, exhaust, etc.

Ecu remap makes more power on low rpm meaning you can also save fuel. This guy doesn't know what his talking. Or hater lang? Stock components can Handle 50-60hp more and 100-150 more torque. Unless mag 300-500hp ka.

Remapping a vehicles ECU is not actually bad,you can compare this to overclocking a CPU to improve performance,or downclock to improve stability,depending on your needs,the remap should tune your car to your best expected response. A remap will be only bad when you over do it(without upgrading components). A bad remap is when all you can see is black smoke even at low rpms. If you want acceleration at 1Gs or more,then buy tesla. Bottomline Your car is tuned for stability,and eco friendly(less fuel,more earth friendly),so if you want to help to save the world,just dont remap,and keep your catalytics. One way or another we are not racing on public roads. Speed Kills sabi nga nila. 😊😊😊 sa mga magsasabing walang basagan ng trip,okay i get it,but be a resposible driver on the road.

For diesel engines 50hp to 60hp increase w/ remap 50hp divided 25k (cost of remap) equals 500pesos / hp so it's not that expensive (mahal) Tama ba MATH ko Sir Sid ??
