Sirji excellent job. full of infomation. I m 75 yrs old & sailed as R/O fm 1968 to 1998. its my hobby to learn new things related tomarine field. tks again.
Sir I highly appreciate ur intrest in learning......Am honoured to read ur comments....Hands off for your mindset to be in touch with the marine engineering. Thank you for ur words...
For compression pressure just make fuel pump rack to zero ...no fuel should be admitted to unit....and note generator should not be on load to avoid unnecessary deviations in other unit...check each unit one by one by pulling the fuel rack backwards
Thank you for sharing your knowledge. If there is a chance can you make also a video of overhauling for fuel pumps, LT and HT pumps, LO pump and Air cooler of Aux Engine. Thank you! Safe sailing!
Hey while reliving stress of bolts i observed that the bearing shell was not there and marking was done....how did the marking match while installing in the engine???
Hey appreciate your comment and sorry for late reply.. While reliving the stress of the conrod bolts the bearing shells must b out and markings should be done as described in the video. This is to protect the new bearing shell from getting damaged in bench vise while tightening the new bolts,The bearing shell material is of white metal and is comparatively much softer than the connecting rod material , after installation of new bearing shell the bearing gets compressed into the groove and doesn't affect the markings made during pre tightening.
Hey thks for your compliment.... appreciate your words.. The AE decarb job usually is carried out at 8000 operating hrs.. Connecting Rod bolts to be renewed every 16000 Operating hrs..
In yanmar engine piston has holes underneath for piston cooling by oil . In manual it’s clearly mentioned that perforated hole must be on fuel pump side , why it’s so please explain 🙏
Check lub oil passage from con rod to piston and after exit and see on your own think about purpose by keeping in mind the rotation of engine forward and oil splash is required or do these holes simply to drain oil directly to sum p without touching con rod
12:50 If the roller is on peak of the cam then how is this compression stroke.. exhast valve and suction valve will be open... just confused... should be on the base of the cam
Firstly thanks and I really appreciate u for watching the video so deeply..... U absolutely right brother....the roller should b on base of the cam during compression stroke... Thank you commenting...
Firstly it's good to hear from ur end...means u watching the video carefully.... appreciate that.. Usually if u keep all spares ready, just like spare cylinder heads, pistons, con rod .....than u can complete the job with full E/R team in 5 days....
Yes I am watching Your videos carefully and I understand it nicely because I am Diesel Mechanic also and I saw Your all videos which is informative, keep up the good work Sir 🎉
U absolutely right...and I do apologise for the mistake.. M happy that u saw the video so patiently and can say...u know the job...thks for ur comment...
@@sealegend1627 hey it's ok sir np.. tbh we did our 10k hrs overhaul by following ur video only. That time i missed this ,now for class 4 preparation i was watching again.. Thanks for making wonderful videos👏
