How to Start and Synchronize Generator Onboard. Manual and Automatic Synchronization Preparation and Starting of Diesel Generator Change over of Fuel valves Toping's World
Very informative and straight to the point. Simple explanation. Includes manual starting of generator and manual synchronization. Plus points for checking other items before starting and for including the change over from DO to FO.
In the old days we would use a lightbulb connected from similar legs. The bulb would glow and dim. When the bulb was out the switch would be pulled, and the generators would be running parallel. The the shore power would be either connected or disconnected. Very simple.
I love this. We had a similar laboratory activity. We would wire the generator to the synchronization panel and synchronize it to a steady 220 VAC supply. We used three sync lamps.
Thank you for great video and explanation! Easy to understand, by far best on youtube. I will show this to students in my class. Greetings from Croatia.
Thank you so much sirrr sa Videos mo, more power! Salamat sa pagbigay ng knowledge saakin bilang aspiring 3RD asst Engr. More videos sirrr lalo na sa mga makinarya na hawak ng Third Asst Engr on board!
Good day Sir. To change over valve from D.O to F.O , Open outlet valve of Fuel first then close the outlet valve of Diesel then Open the inlet valve of Fuel and close the inlet valve of Diesel. To prevent Fuel oil going to D.O tank.
Keep it up, but you didn’t say about starting the diesel pump, you mixed two topics. Please make a separate video on the transition from one type of fuel to another
Because if it is not so, when the incoming genset is connected to the busbar, there will be the possibility to operate as a motor not as a generator (reverse power mode).
Maybe the outlet of fuel valve close or outet pipe line clogging. But in other generator there is a valve pressure regulator near at the F.O duplex filter
