Most these items are from SOF (survival of the fittest), and I'm pretty sure that archeximus used SOF to create decaying winter since they have the same rigs and view models as well as many other things including the map, so I'm not sure if he forgot to remove these items or if he's planning to add them to the game, or if he just kept them as a small easteregg for exploiters
4 months late but the real reason they are there is bc in the first version of decaying winter the items were there as a decoration, without any use and to just scrap, now it doesn't appear because well idk, ig they think it's better that way
1:13 i did a little bit of searching through dw beta videos. this was originally meant to be used in place of its auxiliary counterpart. whether or not this is because auxiliary didn't exist yet or because it was intended to be an obtainable item (or maybe an entirely different reason) is still unknown to me
hey! so actually you're kinda right but also not. SOF has this as a normal throwable, works exactly like dw. this is kinda just a leftover however it does use the same throwing mechanic, judgding by the trail the knife always has. *TL;DR, think of it as a resued asset that was not intended to be equipped in dw like that*
they're more like leftovers since all three games (dw, sof, umg) use the same engine, and as a result, things like jug kit, broken items, etc are in the game.
How the junk items possibly could work if re-added (prolly won't be tho): Radio- Probably useless, but gives specifics on pings, like pinging an enemy would tell you what the enemy is classified as. Tracker- Very rare, pings where all the crates, workbenches, and scrappers are for everyone. Taser- Basically a longer, damaging version of Lazarus' stun Stim- No idea. Pepper Spray- Works like the smoke bomb, except longer, yet thinner range.
@@gewerman7653 i was looking for stuff, aparently it only exist in the old game not in the new last stand game, and apparently the new game has a different model aswell
@@gewerman7653They were craftable weapons in SOF that were leftover in DW like the JUG box. To make the crafted spear is crafted knife (rock+rock) + stick, note that crafting in SOF is way different than DW. The Cudgel is crafted from crafted knife + rock and the bomb on a stick is made from caltrops + red barrel
@@AsimosTriouss not exactly, the damage for these weapons were adjusted for SOF and in SOF all crafting material were either scattered around the map or you could “shove” a stone wall or tree to get the crafting material. These weapons weren’t meant to be in dw in the first place and besides SOF is back woo!
I have theory the dev just put the survival of the fitest weapon on in and make some unobtainable for some reason or change them (like the tazer is supose stun ennemie but in this game is gona be or useless or over op and the poison knife is maybe the knife gear)
@@uiuelite archeximus said she was just too lazy to remove all the shit from SOF in DW, so she just incorporated it into the game or just left it untouched
I was about to say the hidden knife isn't ai exclusive and then i remembered you were talking about the hidden's knife, not the weapon that players can use
By default, the sickler has custom code that overrides the base damage of the weapon. but it also deals more damage with each successful hit it lands and with every kill it gets.
