i agree that the way Ravn's book was marketed very strangely! but it's an incredible look at motherhood in so many different mediums. it took me by surprise as i wasn't sure what to expect after The Employees. and ooh! i've been meaning to read Death in Her Hands. it's an odd one in Moshfegh's bibliography because i also think it's quite meta in a way where Moshfegh is playing God of sorts, God as writer. how the whole story simply derives from the very line that opens the book, creating something from nothing. hope you have a wonderful reading year in 2024!

thank you, you too! i love your takes on the book you read. regarding Ravn- honestly, good for her for being a multifaceted queen that can produce something like The Employees and something like My Work. just totally unexpected! SO true about Moshfegh and Death in Her Hands.
