With some of the brands that do at least seems a little healthier, like Jason, try scanning an unscented version of the product. A lot of times the fragrance can really drop the score.

It's so interesting, once you start decluttering you become aware of so many more parts of your life, what you put onto and into your body, what kind of people you surround yourself with, what you consume..Great video!

I use a mixture of vinegar, water and essential oils to clean everything in my house. Vinegar kills bacteria so its really all you need!

Hi, I mix my own all purpose cleaner & use it for everything including the dishes, works great. Recipe.... 4 tablespoons dish washing liquid, 2 tablespoons rubbing alcohol, 13 oz water ( I use filtered ). Mix in your usual spray bottle & get cleaning !

For product recommendations - for cleaning, I highly recommend Branch Basics! For makeup (in addition to Araza which you already use), I think rms beauty, w3ll people, and elate cosmetics are pretty clean. There’s lots of RU-vid channels dedicated to nontoxic makeup, so you could search that too!

I agree on Branch Basics for cleaning and it works sooo well and one product for all cleaning including laundry and hand wash if you choose.

Very insightful video, I appreciated how you shared you journey without passing on judgement to others (as some other content creators can come across as spiteful). I was surprised at how many big name/expensive brands scored so low! Your videos always help me to purchase mindfully and not be fooled by every 'non-toxic' brands marketing (pacifica 😬). This was a great one as always. It’s definitely always good to do you’re own research for sure. It’s crazy the amount of bad ingredients are in everyday use items. I just wear some eyebrows and eyeliner at this point❤

Thank you! Yes I agree it’s great for everyone to do their own research especially because I kept and decluttered items based on what I felt comfortable with in regards to how toxic ingredients were & their possible side effects. It is very crazy I agree! Thanks for watching ❤️

Well done. I really admire what you are doing. Decluttering makeup and beauty products is difficult, especially when you don't know what to replace it with and if you think about the cost of these products. I was really surprised to hear that some of the products like Clinique scored so low. Think about donating the products to women's refuges if none of your friends and family take them. Please update us when you settle on bathroom and cleaning products.

Thank you so much! It was difficult, but I know it’ll be worth it in the long run to know what I will be using will be better for my overall health and well-being! I was also surprised Clinique scored so low too. That’s a great idea I will look into making a donation there for my unused items. I will update for my cleaning products in a future video!

Ali I clicked on this immediately! I also went through a journey removing all toxic makeup and skincare products and it makes me feel so much better about getting ready every day. If you need any recommendations, Honest Beauty scores well on the apps!

It might be better than other brands, but each product differs so I would check each one. For instance my face wash I have is Pacifica and that one was rated as good! Yes I will do that 🙂

I haven’t use the apps so don’t now how the grade toxins but just remember, water is also toxic if overdosed

Yes very true. I used to the apps to focus on ingredients that are known to be endocrine disrupters, carcinogens, and allergens I hope that clarifies why I decluttered certain items based on them having “toxic” ingredients. Thanks for watching!
