I'd like an instruction manual or videos HOW to set up various modes/scheduling - also, no where does it mention if you can run mop&vacuum and vacuum only in same schedule, is there NO actual set of how to use the modes/scenarios etc ?? I cannot find anything! Do I have to take the mop pads on and off or can they stay on if vacuum only?? Where are answers to those questions, please?

Have you compared it to the Roborock?

We have the T20 Omni and we DO NOT have raising mop heads.

I'm really confused, nowhere in this have you compared it to a Roborock which has all the same features apart from the warm water

I am returning my T20 and going to test out the Roborock Q Revo. The MAIN thing that ticked me off with the T20, like I said in my comment here, is the retraction of the pads when undocking/docking with dirty pads, and the TOTAL lack of desire of Ecovacs to do anything about it. All they did was send me a rubber mat that is placed infront of the dock... sounds like they know this is a problem and is a bandaid fix! I will have the Roborock in a couple of days. I have been testing the Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra (vibrating pad), and while it does a great job, it is TOO MUCH $$$.

@@pomonabill220 Where we are (NZ), we mostly likely won't see the Revo :(. I just purchased the T20 yesterday, I'll let you know if I have the same issue. Totally agree the price of the S8 is hard to justify now and there are multiple units on the market at such a lower price point that are almost the same.

@@johnward6516 I have had the Roborock s7 MaxV ultra and tried it out. I do like the fact that it has an onboard water tank so the pads are kept wet. It does NOT dry the pads though.... The pads don't mop to the edge of the vac so it leaves a dry streak nest to the walls, so I will try the Revo next. It has the spinning brushes like the T20 but is less expensive. It also has the pad dryer built in and not an addon. We'll see!

This is an alert about the Ecovacs new T20 vacuum/mop. Be VERY careful when you use it!!!! I received my T20 about 3 weeks ago and am having some BIG problems with it. I noticed that after a mop run, the floor infront of the dock and the ramp of the dock was wet. I watched it while it docked, and while it was docking, THE MOP PADS WERE DOWN!!!! This means that DIRTY water was being squeezed off the pads, and rubbing into the floor infront of the dock!!! It didn't matter what area was being mopped, or the whole house either!!! ALSO, there was so much water that the floor UNDER the dock was SOAKED! This is NOT GOOD for 120 year old hardwood floor!!!! The SAME thing happens after a vacuum only run, but the pads are usually not wet. BUT that still wears them excessivley. I have tested a few other modes, like MOP, and MOP and VACUUM, and the pads are rinsed like normal, THEN the bot backs out of the dock WITH THE PADS DOWN AND WET!!!!!! This ALSO squeezes water under the dock!!!! The problem would be just as bad if the dock were on a carpet! The carpet detect does not work during docking, so the pads are down and rubbing the carpet with dirty water!!! I have been in contact with Ecovacs, and sent them videos of the problem, and they don't seem to be very interested in getting the firmware fixed. They just give me alot of "stroking" and "how sorry they are.." blah blah blah!!!! They are sending me an "moisture-proof pad". Sure sounds like they know this is a problem!!!! I feel for a $1000 vacuum that is supposed to be premium, I got the "premium" treatment!!! Bend over!!! I am sending mine back, and will forefit the $100 discount and the one day Amazon $250 gift card as my hardwood floors are worth TONS more than this!
