The fact that during the final boss fight Jack mentioned that he gets an extra heart when he dies, only to then immediately have the gameplay cut away and then cut back to him having *five* is one of the best uses of a cutaway I’ve ever seen. Massive props to the editors

The second i saw the character creator, i knew there was no way they WEREN'T going to immediately throw the character away and just let you play as a deer.
@@ralsai4114 I am aware. This game and Deltarune both have their strengths with this joke. Here there is like 500 things to customize so the joke is kind of funnier here, Even though it does come back later, there is less implication of this being the case here and it seems more like the game trolling you, where in Deltarune it's more of a short ominous creepy sequence with a mystery narrator that ends up Toby Fox-ing you at the very end with some minor implications of it coming back later to haunt you, but it doesn't take up too much of your time.
Going through a character creator only to have them immediately die saving the deer is like Deltarune and The Stanley Parable combined into one and I am all for it! 41:24 YOOO IT GOT BETTER

30:57 i think what this means is about how history will repeat itself. this whole cutscene shows the deer becoming his future self basically (as shown by the “visor”). and what is implied here is that there will be another deer that comes along and has to fight the deer that we played as, causing another repeat of history. im probs digging into this too much but i just thought that was just a decently cool implication.
My 3Yo can't get enough of this gameplay. He even copies Sean's voice and funny moments. He started off with Marks 'Chicken feet' calling it the scary chicken. We even had to buy him a similar wooden chicken souvenir from the KNP so that he can watch these videos over and over again with his scary chicken.
I always put a lot of effort into creating my characters in video games that have a character creation because i know i'll be using them through the entire game but this game just fucks you over by killing your character.
Jack continually correctly guessing what comes next as often as he guesses *close* to what actually happens but instead it's something so weird that even he didn't predict it, that's still comedy gold to me. Never let them guess your next move every time. XD A robust character creator, in which you immediately die to save the deer you are, only to come back as god, and also the most mega mech. The return of all the levels of cops in the Japan level, only now they're extra. It just keeps getting crazier. Amazing XD
There are also people that are jist this wacky and creative without needing drugs. I remember in middle school I got a bunch of my friends into writing books and stories, and the story one of them wrote was without question the most random and most absolutely hilarious thing I have ever read.

oh my god I’m dying this game is amazing, so many turns and it’s just ridiculous.. and the fact that he spent all that time to make the final boss actually look like him.. 😂😂 And at the end he’s in a coma because at the start he got hit by a car saving a deer. What a story.
@@Pumalocoooo no you simply saved a deer, but trauma induced moments such as a vehichle running you over can give you fever dreams/comas, the last thing you saw was a deer so it would make sense you only dream about that for a long while before waking up in the hospital
i think he did, he atleast said something about a coma, even if he didnt get the gist that it was because of the truck. also in regards to aodh who i think was talking about the fucked up neck? i think that had something to do with either yes, a magical deer, or he just got really fucked up during the car crash. i say this as although the nurse looks very surprised i too would be very surprised seeing someone awake from a coma.
Ngl, gasped audibly at the big reveal (31:24) meaning Deeeeeer Simulator is ¿technically? better storytelling than any award-winning thriller/drama I've read this year
@@func_e Metal gear solid 5, in the opening of the game it gives you a full Skyrim level customization with you being able to spend hours customizing your character, for the game to say fuck you and throw it away.
Little does Seán know, this is an everyday occurrence in the city. We’re basically being overrun by the chad-of-deers and bread but luckily the sheep and polar bear police have them under control.
The fact that a game about deer could be this emotional and epic at the same time, makes it feel like this game could be one of the most incredible things and most hilarious things we got this year. Seeing that Jack got to experience does a give a lesson about random games are always the most interesting to play even a game where you play as deer can also be incredibly convincing. Then again it also could feel like this game pulled the old big coincidence trick on us.

something I didn't notice until rewatching: in the bad end, it shows a flatlined heart monitor, as if it was all comatose dreams and the bad end is the custom character dying instead of waking up
Let me explain the "shoot" ending, the deer has now become his future self and realizing his past self would come, he's going show who is more superior but fail and so the cycle keeps on going... Sean seems to be so confused since the game was too chaotic for him to process on what's happening LoL or he just forgot to mention it.
Yeah honestly I'm not sure how he didn't get that... it's your future SELF lol meaning if you kill him, you will eventually die, thus the game ends, the game even showed it happened many times before.
@@tc6344 This. That's precisely why they zoomed in on his eye, and why he took the glasses after the fact. The killing of ones future self initiates the curse of the deer, imho, and that leads to the entire loop. It's all a big loop.
I just noticed something, the doggo fight is literally the luffy vs crocodile battle during the alabasta arc, it's a sandy area with the initial of alabasta and it plays Dvorak symphony no.9 new world
For anyone curious, the theme that plays when you go towards the dog is Antonín Dvořák's "New World Symphony" Mvt. 2: "Largo", and the actual boss battle music is the same symphony, Mvt. 4 "Allegro con Fuoco" The music at 41:35 against the final boss is the "William Tell Overture" Finale: "March of the Swiss Soldiers"
