@@shift__robinson I’M REALLY ENJOYING THE CAR BRO. I THINK IN THE FALL IT’LL BE EVEN BETTER WHEN THE WEATHER COOLS DOWN. NATURAL COLD AIR INTAKE. I FEEL YOU ON THE DRIVER ASSIST FEATURES. THE WAY I DRIVE IT GOES OFF A LOT. 😂 BUT COULD ALWAYS TURN IT OFF WITH TRACK MODE. 🙌🏽
@@kickdreaming Happy to heat it! I love the crisp cool air drives 😃 That is true, I now make it a habit to turn off forward collision each time I drive it, track mode every mountain pass I see 😎
At 17:00 I believe “drive lane” depends on the country you’re in. Left lane for Australia or Japan, for example. I have a 2024 BRZ tS. Thanks for the detailed walkthrough. Now I don’t have to read the owner’s manual. I also have a 2022 WRX GT. So, I have some experience with Eyseight.
@@AlanAnt Ahh that makes sense. Thank you for sharing that! It’s one detail I couldn’t figure out and since I don’t like to use the driver assist features, I didn’t dig further. Happy to save you time 👍🏽 Congratulations on the Ts! We basically have sister cars! Cool collection. How do you like the BRZ compared to the WRX GT?
Oh man, thank you for the support! 🙌 I hope it was helpful. Dude, that color Trueno looks great photos. I haven't seen it in person yet. I wish I had that option haha. I found it at a pop up event but I can share the link for you. Looks like they have it in red: www.fujiwaratofucafe.com/product/fujiwara-tofu-cafe-x-ae86-ratchet-club-ae86-levin-plush-cushion-toy
@@awepossum1059 I realized that after I disconnected it 😅 However, at least the t indicator works like it should. I’ll add a little sound because when I plan to go to the track, I wouldn’t hear much through a helmet unfortunately.
@@CarsOverPeople I did! Picked it up in April 🙂 I would recommend searching for a dealership that 1. Sells at MSRP, and 2. Has a wait list or deposit you can put a reservation on. The Hakone would be a great special edition to have 🫡
@@Nu11S3t Great question! From what I can tell the throttle does respond well to your inputs. I’ve driven some other newer cars that have terrible response or give 80% with 20% input, etc. Congrats on that. I think you’ll really enjoy it 🙂
Great question! I've had that sitting on my mind for a bit. I think now that you mentioned it, I should do it sooner rather than later. I actually have a different break in approach that people might find enlightening.
The most technically optimal way to breakin an engine is to rev it at every different point of the rpm range so that the engine components are exposed to different pressures. You can find manufacturers and engineers talk about this. This is what i've done for all my cars beit new or 28 years old with a new engine. It's the best way imo and you can safely beat on an engine at the track even when you don't use it for 6 months.
As long as you don't go on a race track, this car is great. This car suffers from low oil pressure in righthand corners which causes the engine to fail.
@@samserious1337 You can very much go to the track, and plenty do. Just like any car, there are some steps to take to prep it to run it safely. There’s plenty of information proving it to be a solid platform.
@@shift__robinson There is plenty of information that you should NOT go on a race track with this car, you only can mitigate the oil pressure drop problem by short shifting, 0.5-1.0L oil overfill, oil pan baffle and/or installing an accumulator.
@@samserious1337 Then don't buy one and quit clicking on these videos. Bro's obviously very knowledgeable about his purchase and you're just here to troll. 🥱
@@stevef3521 Great question! Mainly to match products, oil and filter. They work best with each other for what its advertised to do. Overall, it allows more flow without compromising too much filtration. Although, the best filtration will always be oem. Thank you! 🙏🏽 Do you have a GR yourself?
@@shift__robinson I just got my BRZ tS (basically the same car as Trueno) - in Canada it's $7K cheaper (why???) and I got it in two (2) months 🙂 No doubt, we have great, GREAT cars.
@@Felix-h5n Congratulations! 🎉 My buddy is trying to decide between that and the Miata ND3. I'm hoping he leans towards the Ts for selfish reasons lol. Wow, 7k is a HUGE difference for essentially the sister twin. I got luck paying MSRP, but waited 2 years for it. Yes indeed 🙌 What color is your Ts?
Alright i'll bite. I'm fucking jealous. Living in Europa, we cannot get thhe Trueno, we cannot get the big brakes, we barely hav access to the duckbil...so STOP TAUNTING US THX.
@@shift__robinson because Europe is banning everything emitting more CO2 than raw chicken. Also, to justify the huge investments into all-electric mobility.
@@ericdebroux9685 😒wow😮💨That's a dissapointing. The EV train has arrived full force over there, more so than in the states. Its a shame because vehicles are not even 1% of what pollutes this planet. "Raw chicken" 🤣
@@johnnybronco9118 If you’re referring to the ND, than I’d agree that they do fall under the same category of an “affordable” sports car. However, they differ in many ways. Roadster vs Coupe, 2 seats vs 4 seats, power and weight are close but not the same, wheel base length is different, driving characteristics are different, overall chassis design is different, and of course the obvious power plant differences as well. I appreciate it. Are you a Miata owner and had a chance to drive the BRZ/86?
@@shift__robinson I'm in the process of researching all the vehicles and I'm leaning closer to the Suburu or Toyota. That's why I loved your in depth review.
@@johnnybronco9118 Very cool, learn all that you can. My buddy was on the fence between the BRZ Ts vs ND3, but he’s a miata guy at heart and loves the top down. I don’t like convertibles, even though I had a NB that I enjoyed driving. It comes down to preference and purpose. I like the trunk size and using back seats as storage, just makes more sense for me. I also prefer the Toyota interior vs Mazda.
@@avilescarlos411 Considering today’s new car market, the claim isn’t that it’s a fast car. It’s a drivers car that’s meant to be fun in the turns. People that are drivers, will want to purchase this car. So your claim is invalid as it is a biased opinion. What are you comparing it to that makes it underwhelming to you?
@@shift__robinsonthey’re full of shit. I have a 718 gts 4.0 as well as a gr86 and the 86 does not feel slow to me. You’re still faster than the majority of street traffic (if you know how to shift) which is all you need.
@@ak740_ Thank you for the validation! Porsche’s are respectfully top in their class. For the 86 to scratch the realm of a Cayman is impressive in my book. I wish to own a Porsche someday so it’s something to look forward to 🤙🏽
