Smoke On The Water performed live in Australia, April 1999, featuring guitarist Steve Morse and an impressive 3 minute intro of various classic killer guitar riffs....
WOW! We've listened to this song a thousand times, but we've never heard it like this! The intro was fantastic, famous riffs through time, none more iconic than Smoke on the Water!
I love this song when I was a teenager a student in England. Now I am a grandfather back in my home country in Brunei (BORNEO). Still listening to it. Awesome, rock on Tommy.
I was there, an American on holiday and my Australian friend was able to get us tickets, watch a group of young teens singing along with most of the songs... Seems Deep Purple touched everyone!
This is a very good display of just how versatile a guitar player that Steve Morse actually is. This song has to be one of the most well known rock songs ever.
rock music that we like since we were teenagers in the 70s until now is very strong with a hard flow character. very extraordinary, salute to deep purple.
I got a guitar magazine with this song on the included CD back in 2004, watching how Steve Morse plays Crossroads is what made me passionate about the instrument.
Dzień dobry. Pierwszy raz usłyszałem Dym na wodzie Zespołu Deep Purple w latach 70 tych 20 wieku. Muzyka wiecznie żywa mimo upływu lat. Słuchają kolejne Pokolenia. Pozdrawiam3

This is the 25th year after Purple playing Montreux and recording this epic version of "Smoke On The Water". I still come back to watch and hear it again. I will surely be back in the next 25 years.
It is great to see another guitarist complimenting original licks: Such as Morse has done for Blackmore. This is one of the greatest respects that any guitarist can do. Rock on Steve.👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍 Yes, you added a little bit more, but you had me head banging with tears after time since this tune was first written. ROCK N ROLL "DEEP PURPLE" FOREVER. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍🎼🎵🎶🎸🎤🎼
Steve played all the licks that transformed rock into heavy metal. But the king riff comes at the last, starting the new means of expressing guts. Amazed to see old people banging their heads....awesome
Hey, nobody's old until they decide to be! I'm 62, listening to this on the headphones and my head is pounding! I played this baby when it came out in 72 on a crappy little record player with a built in speaker! My son doesn't think I'm cool, but the 60's and early 70's were some of the best years for music! I'm right. He's wrong!
@@kensellar yes sir.....you are awesome. 60s and 70s were the time when music was considered as skill unlike today's music which is better described as sports!!
0:20 - Whole lotta love - Led Zeppelin 1:02 - Let me stand next to your fire - Hendrix 1:45 - Crossroads - Cream 2:20 - Day tripper - Beatles 2:25 - House of rising sun - Animals 2:30 - You really got me - Van Halen 3:10 - Smoke on the water - Deep Purple
Steve Morse is a immortal player. However Ritchie Blackmore was also a song writer - thats some people forget to give him credit for. What that means is that there would not have been a Deep Purple without Blackmore iconic songs, including Smoke on the water. Peace and love to everyone.
En cualquiera de sus formaciones, simplemente geniales. Comencé a escucharlos apenas iniciados los 70 y cincuenta años después sigo bibrando con ellos.
