Deep Purple Pioneers of Rock Music was formed in 1968 in Hertford, England, UK. I immediately bought the first record and waited with excitement for the next, because I realized that it was the perfect Rock symphony group, but I also know that it will never be the same because they lack the best, Ritchie Blackmore (guitar), and Jon Lord (organ), who has died, very sad !!!
I hate my fucking self for not seeing DP back in the day. Seems every time I had the chance, the Air Force got between us. Duty before dishonor, but fuck I loved that band! More than I loved Sabbath no doubt.
Ahhhh such memories of working for the many many classic rock station formats in my radio daze days LOL actually went through this not doing drugs and alcohol
Most of the 80s up till 93 it seems, Gillan's voice sounds very strained, probably due to his drinking. But it seems it cleared up around Purpendicular
From what I've seen of Blackmore, he seems by nature to be a quiet, low-key kind of guy.. But I do agree Thomas , he does look like he's struggling a little here..
i do not know why. It seems like a rather straightforward simple song to perform. Another reason could be is they really hate the song and it is painful to perform. It has always been one of my favorites.
They never bothered to rehearse it as it wasn't officially part of any set list after they reunited. Usually Ritchie would just start playing in and the rest of the group fell in. That was the case when I saw them in 84 in St. Paul. I remember Ian Gillan saying afterwards that it wasn't one they typically do. I imagine they had it in their set list when they toured the Who Do We Think We Are album but as far as I know, no footage has surfaced from that point in time.
@@niknikktm It wasn't in the setlist in 73- only Mary Long was. And even it was eventually dropped!

Can't trust Blackmore. One minute he's making his "Strat" sing...the next, he's going off on one of his patented mood swings. Why somebody, ANYBODY didn't help the man out earlier in his career, God only knows.
Where have you been? Blackmore has always been brooding and dark, mysterious and not very friendly. Maybe one or two photos of him smiling in existence from his birth.
I think someone plagiarized this song ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-3lobaCfN3OM.html SINAWE(1987 release) Down And Up-(dance of mind) daecheol Sin compose, arrangement
