Thank you so much for this review. I got myself a 3080 and I was between this bracket and the magnetic brace that you showed. I was close to picking the brace but your video changed my mind and ended up ordering the ST500. Never thought about the scenario where the brace hits the fans, which is a scary thought for an 800$ card. Btw, Deepcool claims that they include cables for daisy chaining the RGB cables, is this something you have tried? Does it work with other RGB parts like fans?
Hello EverydayNormalGeek, welcome to my channel. yes this ST500 does come with a daisy chained argb cable. It should not be an issue to hook them up with argb fans. the only thing you need to take note is the argb load capacity. Make sure the source where it provides the 5v argb header is able to withstand the load which you have daisy chained the fan + this argb gpu holder.
Hi there~ Thanks for the review! I like this design! However, my case is TD300 mesh MATX case and seems like there is no enough space underneath the holder for its minimum bottom stand clearance. Sad~~ May look for vertical type instead! Great review~~ 👍
Hi Louis Ling, welcome to my channel. I see, well look at the bright side. having vertical mount GPU has it's advantage, at least the warm air is not blowing directly to the motherboard.
I'm planning to use an H7 Flow with a 3090 and this, would I have clearance for a sound card to be installed or is this blocking it? I plan on getting the NZXT B550 board
Hi infinity Being, welcome to my channel, this I can’t answer you as I have not tried that but if your sound card is of a low profile height, then you should not have an issue.
I have a montech air 100 case, it's matx form and only has 4 pcie slots. Will this fit on my case? The bottom 2 pcieslots are very close to the bottom of the case already. So I'm thinking if the height adjustment will have enough space at the bottom 🤔
Hi Knollan Adriano Tanteo, welcome to my channel. It does fit and I have tested with a msi mortar b550m board. I can even place bottom fans after GPU is installed with this motherboard in the Montech Air 100 lite case
How much bottom clearance in total this tool allow? I have Fractal Design R5 which is much bigger like your case so I would need to use the provided extensions but I still wonder if it would be enough.
Hi Rafal Osko, welcome to my channel, the total height of the extension screw (3 section) is 120mm (ifrom base to tip of screw thread) and if just the base to where the screw thread starts is 88mm. If you only set to 2 section it will be 90mm (from base to tip of screw thread) and if just the base to where the screw thread starts is 58mm.
Hey Kleo, sorry if this is an old video, but is the stand pole for this GPU Holder extendable vertically to fit cases with no PSU shrouds like the Lian Li O11D XL? I tried contacting Deepcool and checking the official specs but it doesn't mention anywhere how high the stand pole can get. I'm looking to get this one myself but I'll be building on an O11D XL so that bottom is going to be much farther than a case with a PSU shroud.
Hello kamikze00007, welcome back. The measurement height from the tip of the pillar support and to then bottom of the support is at 15cm. When I reach home I will upload some pics for you. No worries.
@@KleoYan Thanks man. I realize it's extendable with more screw posts but judging from the measurements, it seems an O11D XL is just as tall as a full-atx case, just without a PSU shroud at the bottom. That would mean I need a pillar support that reaches the GPU and the very bottom of a shrouded case. I think normal shrouds already cover about 5 inches from bottom to top.
@@kamikaze00007 hmm.. here you go. imgur.com/VFDLGMP .. that's the best I can help you with.. as for how O11D XL case works. I have no clue to it.. so sorry.
@@kamikaze00007 another idea is.. use those fishing lines, since they are transparent. tie to your GPU and hook up to the top and tie at the top. this will prevent sag.
@@KleoYan Just took my metal ruler and had a look. Given the pole in your measure is more or less 6 inches and then the entire sag bracket adds at most another inch, I think this will do just fine. Thanks for getting back to me fast. I actually have done zip ties before, and then moved to using black lego bricks to make a pillar which is what I'm using now in one of those NZXT H440 full-atx cases. From the GPU to the very bottom of the case is more or less 7 inches in this one too so that's almost an exact comparison, although this one has a shroud to shorten that gap. I just wanted to get this bracket because this one allows 3-dimensions of adjustments as your video showed, which will help in positioning the pole due to the three bottom case fans in an O11D XL. Thanks man, I'll be adding this one to cart. 🤓
