Tom welling in the suit flying as is seen in this deepfake would not have fit the theme of smallville and add no substance to the story or intent of the writers. Thus that is why it would have been merely gratuitous and a way to offer fan service for all the loyalty. Smallville was about the journey, not the destination. It was about the person he was before he became superman, not about superman the idea itself. This is why the ending of show don't tell was sufficient. Note, like I said it merely is an element of story telling to follow through with the intention of the story all the way. Fan service is not bad, however its really not required.

Don't get me wrong I enjoyed the cross over but what they did with wellings Clark Kent was just stupid and I'm sure part of that was wellings doing. He was a great Clark Kent but that's all he wanted to be. He never wanted to be Superman which is sad. Don't take on a role and then refuse to take on the whole roll. To me he is TV's greatest Clark Kent/Superman. But he refused to give the fans what they wanted for 10 years. People like myself watched that show faithfully for 10 seasons and got played in the last episode.

Using the number 2 doesn't make a movie a sequel the plot moved from man of steels end to the introduction of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice where Batman is brought to the light and Superman shows him that he is not the only hero and there are more out there. Then JL happened :( I actually enjoyed Man of Steel quite a bit and BVS but such is life I think they should stop trying to make everything Canon like how DC animated is which is easily the best thing for DC last I knew it topped sales even comparing to Marvel's sales in every category. DC ANIMATED FTW

I Didnt need or want to see origins for these characters the dc animated movies and tv shows did the dceu better.
