From what I've been told, Deepwokens had a problem with Voidwalkers since they were introduced. Today, we take a look at those problems, and how I think that they can be fixed!

If you are in pvp combat you do not gain a health pack from any mob or npc you knock (pvp combat being the red skull and pve combat being blue skull)

There were no difference in the icon but the PvP combat was still there cause u still wouldn’t healthpack after being hit by a player

If you want to know why the obtainment is so screwed, it's because it was co-designed by ragoozer, who is known for loving his previous project Rogue Lineage, a bit too much, a game which basically was the Voidwalker obtainment for 37 different classes, with the added middle finger of you being near incapable of getting lives back, so if you died as a base level you'd never get that life back unless you got luck/had exploits and was artifact hunting. He's known for actually incentivising toxicity, as it's what worked in Rogue, to the point that he almost suggested an item that upon use would send your enemies to the Depths and let you follow them and wipe them, it did get added in the end but it's been reduced to the point that it's not nearly as offensive.

My only thing with Voidwalkers is that they purposefully choose to target low levels because they know its less of a bother. And on top another thing I hate is that one voidwalker would literally bring another voidwalker with them and just jump you for retaliating too long.

What happened to me is that I was a starter than this voidwalker with a green name went after me and I left the game and chose another server and guess what the weirdo followed me there and killed me 2 times and got sent to the depths and started all over again

I was fighting 4 threshers at starswept valley, and as I was about to kill them 2 voidwalkers jump me, its really irritating. I also got jumped by a power 20 void walker with a bell when I was lvl 2 at lower erisia. Voidwalkers are the most annoying part about deepwoken honestly, i liked it better when I was gripped for luck instead of some shit reward.

Like honestly they shouldn't be able to gank players IN COMBAT, there's way too many times where I've been PvEing and fighting some mob (lets say a thresher at level 11 on hive) And when I'm about to end the fight, either by killing the thresher or dying some random pulls up when I'm low and obviously destroys me because I dont have eyes on my back and I GET PUNISHED FOR DYING?

Another thing worth noting is the EXP fall off. At higher levels, you're basically doing a bounty for three points and at even higher, just one point. This is annoying for the Voidwalker, as they do a shart tone of work for no reward, and annoying for the victims, as they watch the same dude come after them 65000 times.

If you are level 19 with simple flaw and hunting 5 star bounties you get 2-3 points. Also you cant go after the same guy for there is a cooldown on victims.

having void walker encounters not kill the victim is a great idea because it would introduce random pvp to newcomers meaning that newcomers will essentially have a safety net pvp tutorial that introduces them to combat and certain combat scenarios while not having to face the detrimental consequences of not knowing how to pvp in a new game, which would actually make void walkers a "positive evil", sort of comparable to predators in an ecosystem.

@@K-ream I would say its more making the game more enjoyable for most players and not so much about avoiding permadeath. Game would totally be more fun for voidwalkers if they had a bunch more contracts in every server and their targets are less inclined to log. I would say that this benefits newer players more than it does experienced players trying to gank people but thats also an integral part in keeping the game alive and well - if theres no new playerbase playing deepwoken the game would just eventually die

I was gonna agree with you @alen448 but you clearly have not been invested in the deepwoken community if you think the devs are deaf. There are certain things that the devs will be stubborn on things they wont be. I've seen plenty of ideas that content creators recommend and now have been added into the game. If you dont have the popularity of a content creator you can do a few things to gain access to the recommendations channel so you can give ideas to the game devs. And @K-ream If you saw his last video, he said that perma death wasn't a bad thing and it encourages new players to try different things (Or at least I'm very positive that he said that). And I think not getting tainted when killed by a voidwalker is a decent idea. Because most of the time, voidwalkers have the upper hand even against older players because they'll be minding their own business, maybe half hp and then get attacked. Personally, I think it'd be a good idea to still be tainted, you would just wake up in the same area since (for me) the most major inconvenience is having to travel all the way back. But I wouldn't mind eclipses idea at all. Edit: I literally just watched the conclusion 5 seconds later @alen448 and they're not deaf at all wym lmao

@@goldenviper554 Im mainly referring to balance changes, such as daggers having the range of a sword, railblade having the attack speed of a spear (no one complains about railblade tho), gale lunge's outrageous hitbox petra's anchor hitting you through vent (and much more), and the fact that pvp has become more of a the more minmaxed broken build wins. And for example here, this voidwalker problem did not exist. They created it. If you didnt want to get jumped by a voidwalker, you used to go voidwalker too since they couldnt hunt each other. You had a slower prog but no voidwalkers. Now the only way to dodge them is to grind eylis rep. Though I have to give it to them that they take concept ideas yes

I think one fix could be rewards based on Power Level + Player Kills. If a player has killed a ton of other players on one slot, the value of hunting that player is increased because they’ve proved themselves as a worthy hunt. Where players who haven’t killed other players as often and are lower power level’s will give less rewards.

Wise suggestion. Some lv20 PVE builds who have not killed a single person should not have the same difficulty as a godseeker max pvp build

That would probably break early voidwalker progression, since almost everyone who are low leveled are either new or not looking to fight, so the rewards would be miserable. I hate voidwalkers with all my heart but damn...

another could be increasing the value/reducing it depending if the voidwalker killed a person with a higher or lower power than them. would encourage killing people your level/higher rather than new players

Also as a tip for new players, the easiest way to get voidwalker is just get your friends to let you kill them in different slots 15 times

Oh god no i had a friend do this and they just lost every bounty they found and i personally unlocked voidwalker by killing void walkers and spinning back on gankers and i still lose bountys sometimes voidwalker progression is hard if you suck at bountys the way i became better in pvp was fighting void walkers that come and 1v1ing friends

Encountering a voidwalker as a low lvl is you having 2 options: either run for your life praying that the guy can't catch up to you or some random event happens and you get saved, or die, and 9/10 times it's going to be the second one, which makes it really depressing for people that are actually new to the game and a random lvl 20 with endgame gear appears out of nowhere just to kill you

yeah voidwalkers might be the biggest thing that is bad for new player experience. other stuff is meh, you can atleast search it up on the wiki or youtube but voidwalkers isn't a problem you can really counter without becoming really good at pvp (and how are they supposed to do that when they have to fight people ALOT better then them, with better gear and such)

Fun fact. In the early days you got “more lucky” when you killed players, so the starter islands were a complete blood bath. Honestly it’d be much more fun if a void walker didn’t take a life but instead just sent you back to spawn and got a reward, while if they die they also don’t lose a life but their victim gets awarded

that would be a great solution if it didnt completely contradict what arch mage thinks about no-stakes pvp, wich this is pretty much the definition of, but they could maybe add some sort of penalty to whoever loses (maybe a xp gain decrease for a certain period of time?)

@@suzumebachii I mean chime of conflict exists (although it’s fucking terrible IMO why did they hamfist lives into it) If you don’t know it’s the games 1v1 mode but you only have 2 lives (refresh after 24 hours) where if you win you gain one and life you lose you lose one, loosing both and then losing a third game sends you to the depth. Why? Arch mage decided to be annoying that day. Like the loot was kinda ass and the only reason to do it was for resonance prog if you decided to be a nice person and not camp vigil or for fun

@@theveganduolingobird7349 yeah chime has no reason to exist other than artificially drive people off of overworld pvp (wich is a terrible decison, no clue why arch would ever do it) it TECHNICALLY has stakes (the skulls) but its almost impossible to actually lose anything while playing chime because you can kinda just not play chime and nothing will happend even if you lose 2 games in a row, contrary to overworld pvp where you cant really bypass dying there unless you arent power 20 (ffs arch just remove chime already PLEASE)

that solution can and will definitely be abused by the community. no lives bounties can be abused by having ur friends or alt voidwalker on standby in the server and then when u gank/get ganked if you are in a dire situation like get low, get ur voidwalker friends/alt to hunt you so you wont lose a life plus ur friends/alt gets rewarded for it.

instead of actually dying to a void walker they could make a feature where they actually take a piece of your soul and you wake up in the same place where you died after a little fragments of self obby, when 4 pieces are taken you lose a life, level up and you get a piece of your soul back, do some kind of hard quest you get a piece of your soul back, etc. etc. this way people wouldn't rage as much when dying to void walkers as they could do one of those quest and get said piece back. freshies and such would have enough time to get loot and such before fighting again and not dying to a normal player and going to depths. voidwalkers get their loot and prog and freshies get to have more fun if anyone could find any kinda flaw in this id honestly like to hear it

This is actually the best idea I've heard, since making voidwalkers just knock you would not incentivize players to fight back, since they just let the voidwalker knock them and then heal up and keep progging as normal Its like a watered down version of the contractor nerf (it sends you to L2 instead of outright wiping you) and it worked pretty well, so I see this as an actually fun mechanic

@@flailthe2952 Yeah but the issue comes in the form of you not being able to breathe, like everytime I had a voidwalker hunt me, (for example at hive) I get jumped on while fighting something strong (King thresher or sand knight), die instantly, come back and start progging again to get xp to level up, JUST TO GET GANKED AGAIN by another voidwalker, its a never ending cycle and you wont even get close to leveling up if you are on training lock

nah, a big reason void walkers are annoying is because of the time block they present this would make this worse and even more annoying, that while you might not die from a voidwalker. they will still become really really really annoying

There was an update in June that prevents voidwalker bounties showing up on players who hasn’t reached power 10 on any slot before, I think this should be moved up to either a higher power or unlocking/winning a game in chime.

I believe it should be power 15, killed a boss, escaped depths trail, and completed some of the basic echo talent quests. This might be too much but trail of one completion. After all of these, a player is more than ready to start handling other players

Power 10 is nothing, nobody is ready for PVP at power 10. If anything players should be safe from void walkers until they beat the trial of one, because that's basically a player's certificate of "i'm not a total fucking goober at combat"

I think for 1-3 Star Bounties (and maybe 4 Star Bounties) the system where you get rewarded and TP'd out for KNOCKING the target would be best, but for 5 Star Bounties I think they should still require a grip to complete.

When Voidwalker first came out and I got it on day 1 I was legitimately disgusted on how op it can be for not only just killing people, but basic traversal too. Just the fact that you have a hub world you can teleport to is amazing enough.

you can uppercut people with ctrl+m2, this makes it so that move that would originally move your character forward (like lightning blade) becomes true as it will not rely on your movement while in the air

I think making voidwalkers teleport to the voidheart after knocking the bounty would drastically impact the content creation community, since most of the youtubers like supaa,valekis and basically all of them make voidwalker progressions where the key part about them is the jumpings they deal with, they generate views from this, they even state that they specifically target big groups for the video to not be boring. Also I think the developers are trying to combat the "voidwalker superiority" with giving deepbound players access to ALL the shrines and the Call of The Deep item, also Lone Warrior origin lets you interact with the Shrine of Solitude inside of the Trial of One.

changing the game or keeping it the same to incentivise pvp just because of content creators is cringe im in the half of the community he mentioned where i believe voidwalking should never have been added because i have a skill issue and die enough to ai, i dont also need players to kill me they can still make voidwalker progressions with jumpings even with the teleport, they just need to deal with the ones that arent the bounty first, or smth

Im a pve player, and it really annoys me that when i try to grind, i have to constantly be on lookout and watch for VW. Ive already lost a slot to them. Sadly since the deepwoken community is genuinely very toxic and immature, its impossible to talk about these issues. I also have very below-average reaction time & with me being terrible at pvp? I don’t even have a chance against a VW.

Sadly I feel like if you have below average reaction time, deepwoken might mot be for you. Being terrible at pvp is a problem you can fix with enough practice (I suggest trying battle royale on the weekends when you have time), if your reaction speed isn’t the best, you’re gonna be a bit screwed in most situations.

That's something the devs can't fix, in sorry to say but maybe the game isn't for you. Because pvp is a big aspect to the game, you yourself might have to pause on PvE builds for a lil bit, and make a pvp build and just do chime, chime is how u get better without any consequences (if u stop at 1 skull)

They should follow dark souls's invasion matchmaking system where you cannot hunt anyone who is above or below a certain level range of you. And of course, a voidwalker cooldown after being attacked by one. However, you could also use a spears-of-the-church style mechanic where the voidwalker is buffed depending on the number of allied targets near their target, sort of a boss raid mechanic.

I think when Archmage and the other people who worked on voidwalker released it they expected most players to be able to fight back because of some (or most) people coming from the game Rouge lineage and the skill required to play deepwoken since you have to parry and dodge as well as other various things, so I do understand as to why they didn't think voidwalker would be a problem considering killing people and fighting was way more common back in verse 1 of deepwoken when the luck mechanic was still an important feature before the removal of it in verse 2

I really liked eclipse's solution to the voidwalker problem, but i must add that bounty chests are pretty bad by themselves, which is why voidwalkers usually only pick player loot bags, if eclipse's solution gets approved ( which has a good chance of being) they must buff the bounty chests and to also remove ''trash'' items from the loot pool. which would make it more worthwhile especially if the loot is tied to power which i certain bount chest aren't, and it must have a larger if not exponential xp reward for voidwalking bounties. which would make it possible for pve voidwalking, but makes players wanting to pvp a no brainer.

A good incentive would be to make a medalion type system, where a knocked player can have their “essence” sucked out of them when knocked. (Essence being xp from events used to level attributes)

There’s also another big issue where voidwalkers can take bounties on other void walkers inside the void heart, you get jumped, get them low, just for them to run to the teleport and get away for free cause you can use the teleport while player tagged

This wasnt an issue until it was made an issue. Classic cobra effect. Deepwoken devs wanted ppl to not only play voidwalker to avoid other voidwalkers and in return allowed you to hunt other voidwalkers, allowing the voidmother teleport bullshit to happen

@@alen448that wasnt why that change was made, it was made because people with a non knives of eylis bounty wouldnt appear on the board so voidwalkers would never fight other voidwalkers outside of the voidheart. They made it so that every factions bounties would appear in the knives of elyis bounty board so that voidwalkers could grasp onto other voidwalkers, not so that they can fight in the voidheart

they should make it so when you are gripped by a void walker that is hunting you you dont go to the depths even if your stained just like how if a contractor kills you in the depths it always sends you to layer 2 instead of wipe.

I reckon they should increase the exp gained from bounties even more than they have, since the topic at hand mostly affects players on the lower power range, the faster the void walker gets out of their threshold the less they get killed, with the added fact that you need less kills to begin with. Progressing as a void walker is extremely painful at times because as you said, people either run or insta log making the time it takes to max a build be 1.5x even 2x the time for a pve player to max if we're talking power alone, on the other hand I think they should increase the reward you get for gripping a void walker since right now you get like, old yeezes and broken airpods as a reward for a fight and practically just wastes your time. Overall good video, agreed on most points but disagreed on some, for example saying that all void walkers are far better at pvp than most might be a stretch, since most of them obtained the origin by overpowering someone far weaker than them, I swear some void walkers play worse than a paraplegic grandma. P.S that fight on the vigil training ground got me cringing dawg, I was so immersed on how amateurish the fight was that I had to rewatch the segment cause I zoned out and didn't hear what you were saying. was hilarious, good fight

About the town guards. While normally yes they barely help you during fights there is strength in numbers and if you have the talent "Bodyguard Detail" every single guard in a large area runs over to defend you from an attacker As for the health packs voidwalkers only get it if they were tagged by the guards and not the player if they are player tagged (indicated by their skull turning red) they get no health from npcs

my thoughts on the origins: deepbound: awesome, love the concept and now that chains exists its not too bad, i just kinda wish getting specifically to power TWO was easier (requires for chains and air dash), finding mobs can be a pain too, maybe a way for deepbounds to quickly return to castle light while already in the depths like voidwalkers' voideye ability to return to voidheart voidwalker: i generally agree with the video, though i think letting the voidwalker get the kill without taking a life would be better since you would get loot, get to keep up the fight if it was a bigger fight, and get some of the player's loot which imo isnt a big loss... lone warrior: i want it to be buffed in some way cuz it kinda blows in terms of features but im not sure how castaway: it sucks but i feel like its almost a necessary suck where its so that new players can get into the game without being overwhelmed by to1 difficulty, depths risk, or pvp fights

voidwalker depths trials are harsher due to the amount of "drowns" they have. When you kill a player or wipe them and see their soul being dragged to the depths you get a drown, the more drowns, the harder the trial. That was a way to make it so people stopped wiping low levels back in the day which was a really big problem, its not limited to just voidwalkers, they just got more drowns normally cause of their progression

The only town that is really safe is etris since the ninja guards have a shit ton of HP but then again, their spawn is inconsistent and you can cheese about any humanoid NPC in game with ranged mantras and bells, i dont even know why other towns dont have some type of elite guards, they tried to do that on the deepbound spawn but the guards there feel so weak that they die to average depths mobs.

i feel like voidwalker bountys should have a playtime requirement. i have had a few friends quit the game due to them just playing the game for a total of an hour to get jumped by 8 voidwalkers within the span of 30 minutes. They should have like a 24 hour total playtime requirement, where if your account or maybe even slot has less than 24 hours total in gametime, then voidwalkers cant attack you. this would make progressing for new players less annoying as they wont have voidwalkers jumping them the second they get to like power 6

As far as the consequences go, I think you should still be able to kill the victim as a voidwalker. They should just make it so your healthbar can't be stained from a voidwalker, and you can't be sent to the depths from them either.

Despite how stupid it may seem, Arch Mage actually did have many problems with people abusing stupid bugs in his previous game. Overall it’s hard to really balance, because what if a voidwalker hits you right before you knock, gripped, and you don’t lose a life. Also people could theoretically farm a max level alt on their voidwalker, not sure how good the exp but certainly very easy

The big issue I see with this is that you didn't really tell what the debuff of whoever got knocked would be. You obviously want it to be not so punishing, but what's stopping a person from just letting themselves get knocked because they know they won't get gripped?

Voidwalker was kinda the solution to missing something that old Deep had: an insentive to overworld grip. Pre layer 2 had luck, and you only increased this through killing other players. This meant that to get good cards, you needed to fight. Luck was removed however, so to keep overworld PVP alive, voidwalker. I tihnk the devs want to always have some form of overworld pvp, probably a mindset leftover from rogue lineage.

someones probably said this somewhere in comments already but my idea for obtaining voidwalker was that you should have to complete one bounty from any faction and then talk to the guy in the voidwalker ship. it only makes sense since the whole origin is based on bounty hunting and just one bounty isnt as annoying as 15 random kills. the bounty would have to be one that you would be able to grasp to if you were a voidwalker (so theyd have to be a similar power level) and oath shouldn't matter. if the devs want voidwalker to be the one origin thats difficult to obtain then they can increase the amount of bounties needed or add more to the requirements for obtaining it (such as needing positive rep w/ knives or maybe needing to do one bounty for every faction, stuff like that)

My problem with the game is that it feels like the game jsut wants me to stick to the safest path since with how punishing and time consuming each death is any "Experience" i might have gained doesnt matter compared to all that i lost, the game is too punishing for me not to develop a strategy that minimizes time spent outside of safe areas

my take on the alternative for gripping is this; Instead of gripping you, the voidwalker uses a new item called "Voidmother's Hunger" (or sum like that) and once they use that its kinda like a reaper but instead of killing them they get teleported back and the rewards are already in their inventory (gripping the player that you have a bounty on would do the animation for the item instead of gripping them so there is no way around it) and once they do that, the player that got hunted has a debuff that will only go away from in-game time, meaning they have to be in-game for a hour for the debuff to go away, and the debuff could make a bar of their HP voided. (meaning they cannot heal that bar and its never able to be healed until the debuff is gone)

Glad you talked about this, I am someone who has a decent amount of hours as a voidwalker and must I say it is annoying for everyone involved, the amount of time server hopping to get bountys to teleport to someone and get 3v1ed or see them log instantly just isn't worth going voidwalker and the lowed exp you gain for all pve events makes the mid to end game of the build actually take hours of work if you decide you don't want to fight people stronger then you to get the exp you need to level up the only reason I still put myself through that is to get the tacet murmur(it requires 5 bounty kills) for the singular mantra it gives you(I like it personally but I with 100% certainty can tell you it isn't worth going voidwalker for)

an idea i had to expand on this is after the downing instead of killing bounty system is implemented, maybe gripping the target needlessly would give you a little less exp than if you spare them? that way if your target is low level/new to the game and you think they really wont have anything useful on them you can leave them alone and get some extra exp, vs if your target is high level you can trade that extra exp for a chance at some good loot via gripping them.

Imo it should be something like contractor in depths where the death of the target does not actually kill/wipe you. Gripping a bounty shouldn't take a life out of their health bar, this should be better.

the life drain system you proposed would also help voidwalkers alot, i cant tell how many times i've had my loot stolen from OTHER voidwalkers who did not help in the bounty and just leech on the rewards. collecting in the voidheart would be a lot better

Cool video overall, but the only thing I have to say is about the section where you talk about making dying to voidwalkers less punishing, it already isnt punishing at all if you have basic knowledge of the game, in the early levels if you die to a voidwalker > power up > you only lost like 3 minutes of your time (Or no time at all if you set yourspawn using a guildbase, which not everyone has but still) and probably no loot of value, if you get sent to depths, sure its the place where you POTENTIALLY could lose your build, but realistically?, you can just walk over to depths trial and be back on the surface UNSCATHED in 5 minutes if you just know how to beat a sharko.

@@speedlife735 When I said basic knowledge I meant like leaving the depths, if a new player can't figure that out REMOVING VOIDWALKER won't even be enough to save them fr, (also COMPLETELY new players do have a grace period where they can't be hunted I believe its until they reach like power 10 so they really do have time to figure out THE NUMBER ONE thing you need to learn to not wipe which is leaving depths)

I think the perfect debuff would be "Void Drain" It basically removes your soul and it gives insanity at night, to remove it, find knives of eylis vs etrea ship event, talk to the NPC inside of the ship and then walk in the magical bubble, talk to Eylis to remove your flaw, but you will have to get a void walker contact with her, basically that's a debuff and an obtainment

But then that just wraps around to the same problem. You fight a high skilled player and get downed but then you have to fight another player to remove the flaw or lose the life that the voidwalker didn't take. It's basically the same except it takes longer for the consequences to the bounty target for losing to kick in

I feel like that the changes with void walkers not being able to hunt newer players that archmage mentioned at 14:21 ( the not being able to be hunted at lower powers than 10) would more screw the void walker over, because the main form of xp for us is taking bounties, even if we do to1 and get to like level 6-8, we still have to farm bounties to progress later in the game. At that point, you either farm people at power 10 and get very low xp with a greater risk of dying as they likely have much better loot than you, and are overall more powerful, or farm people with a drastically higher level than you, and that mostly results in a death as its pretty hard to kill a dude with endgame gear that does a 1/5th of your health each hit. I think a great solution for both void walkers and normal players is to increase the xp gain from lower stars, but simultaneously make it harder to farm those lower stars, since most of the time they will be much less experienced than the void walker, the extra difficulty for the void walker to successfully get the bounty should balance it out, along with higher xp gain for the void walker actually giving an incentive to farm bounties in the first place.

Eclipse, I think you are right about some points, but at the end, it’s all because of new players. The new player experience is bad, and needs a massive rework. But I don’t think you really thought about how it would be when an average player plays against an average void walker. Now that fight is fair, and deserving. I think you are right about the new player experience and that it needs to be changed, but the average player experience it’s fine

Skill also isn't the only factor. It's usually a PvP build vs a lower level PvE build, while the PvE player is in the middle of fighting something else

Voidwalkers don't have outright harder depths trials, but they drown more often and drowns make trials harder.

By the way, voidwalkers can accept bounties on other faction bounty boards and still use Grasp of Eylis to teleport. So make it so that ALL grasp of eylis bounties end like that. Additionally, if the voidwalker is player combat tagged, they cannot healthpack off the guards. The guards are also very, very fucking annoying to a voidwalker.

Actually, as someone who has never progressed in any of my 6 slots without voidwalker, we experience many issues just as unfair. Don't forget to address the teaming, the logging, the running, and the teleporting a voidwalker somewhere that they either have to climb or mountain and jump down or next to a gang of npcs waiting to attack.

I think it should be that when you pick them up you have to put them in a place (where they cant get up) and then there life force or whatever gets drained so that that persons friends can come and rescue them and the voidwalker can also defend him from them. Making it kinda a stall battle. I think that would be really fun

As someone with around 100+ hours playing Voidwalker, more often than not you're server hopping to find a server where you can actually teleport to someone. When that server is found, however, is where the actual problem surfaces. Freshspawn Voidwalkers often end up fighting people 2x their level and then get third partied for being a Voidwalker, and while this is a community thing, I do genuinely think that Voidwalkers should be buffed to do more damage depending on how many people are currently attacking them. Adding onto that Life Siphon thing, I don't really understand how that will change the run-log-fight dynamic of seeing a Voidwalker spawn on you. Think about it, you're in an area populated by monsters and hear a Voidwalker. (as the life siphon mechanic has been added) I'd be more likely to leave the game if I'd be temporarily debuffed and lose all of my hp just knocked on the ground. I'd much rather be gripped at that point. Just make it so Voidwalkers can't target new players who just bought the game. Besides, there are no pure PVE players in this game unless they're new or horrible at playing Deepwoken. I like Voidwalker as-is, though I do agree it could be significantly better in terms of mechanics. Anyway, fight the Voidwalker. It's not that deep. Can't press F?

@@alen448 Yeah, maybe I should've reworded that a little better. But dude, 99% of metamancer voidwalkers are power 20 and can only hunt power 18-20s. If you're at that point in the game where you're power 20 and still can't parry or pvp you might as well wipe your build and quit the game.

Unless you are such a god at the game and you win all of your fights without getting hit which in that case oh well just a skill issue on my end might as well go and put in another 3k hours into this game yea that'll fix the problem

And to add, even if I dodge and parry, something eventually will hit me, and then it just takes execution on the other player's part to pull off the most retarded combo.
