As soon as his archer reinforcements were all intercepted and destroyed with 70%+ ammo, it was over. No matter how well he was doing on the front lines(and he was doing pretty good!) not being able to reinforce lost him the game. Great battle!
WE have always been one of my favorite factions, but it's a shame we don't see them too often. Had a lot of fun watching Felkon stomp with them in the days of yore.
@@williammitchell6254 wouldn't say they are. Strong, but not OP, people just need to learn to play vs them again since they have a lot of units that are finally good
I like the Wild Rider buff a lot, although I feel they should be 95 speed to match light cavalry. I hope Glade Riders with bows get a bit of a buff too. Conversely, the Swiftshivers should get a range decrease. 160 feels fair, it would differentiate them from Waywatchers and the normal variant.
Normal Wild Riders still being disappointing is pretty funny. They're a lot closer after the two price cuts (my initial read was they were 200 overpriced so we're halfway there assuming no stat buffs) but at this point I'd rather they just get brought up to a proper glass cannon unit. 62 CB has been majorly powercrept, for a glass cannon shock cav without AP it's not great and really hurts their performance into more expensive infantry and large targets. Compare to any similarly priced shock cav and it's apparent WE are getting short changed, doubly so when you check the defensive values and realize WE are behind on both offense and defense.
I really enjoy playing Wood Elves. They're one of my favorite factions and I like that they've been buffed. But I don't like playing the "OP" factions, so I'm in a kinda similar situation as you when Empire was OP. Only time will tell to see if they drop below 70% win rate.
@@markwilliamdiano5018 This is not Empire with full spear line. WE just put 1 - 2 spears to every point. How otherwise Sigvald killed 3 waywather squads? Treekin is terrible at grind, too low damage, basic spearmens just pike them. And too slow, cant chase cavalry.
SoloSpaghetto forgot a group of half health glade guard (w/ hagbane tips?) in the back for half the match. They were routing when the Chaos Warriors were chasing them to the edge of the map. They might have made a difference... Goes to show, even great players forget tactical reserves! Great match, either way.
I feel like, one Big tree or even treekin ! Can be summon and will be a fantastic Ancor for wood elfs late game Ancor whit trees and dash in dps around or archers support, OP
Eternal guard are a really good unit but get slap alone pretty easily, add some trees on top and you have very solid combo very hard to dislodge Spears protect trees from cav and single entities while the protect them from infanterie by slapping them around, it won't kill them very fast but will endure way longer
I wonder what he thought chucking all those Wild Riders and Hunters of Kurnous into that... he's a great player he must have had a plan but in hindsight it looks... like a really bad play
If it was thrown into that horrible pit fight on Objective 1, nope. Would've been a huge waste. Having one on the opposite side of the field to protect all those archers would've been very beneficial though.
My guess is a homing missile so the glade lord rarely misses. It would make sense but I have no idea when they added that, never knew that tooltip existed.
