That’s beautiful. I really love the walnuts that they grow. I had a neighbor give me some bamboo, I made rain makers. That wood, is too beautiful to waste.
You might join the pieces flat to make something that can function as a low table, eg when seated on the ground, as well as a bench. If the two parts were originally one that you cut apart to make a bench, then you might still do that I suppose, for a laugh :D I recently completed my first project using Walnut wood, for a knife handle. It is a lovely material.
Carpo, I'm sure I've written this before. When I bought my house 25 years ago, I planted a bunch or bareroot trees I purchased from the county extension office. Black Walnut were among them. Black Walnut is very slow growing and an investment tree when about 100-150 years old. I do talk to my trees, although they never respond.
@@carpo719 Last summer I was talking to a Butternut tree that is dying. I pressed my hands on it and said to it "Please don't die." I do not want it to die. I do like trees. My dad instilled his love of trees into me.
It's funny cuz I'm on the beach right now and it's raining so I grab the piece I stashed to make a bench out of and flipped it on the dry side and sitting on that and I click on this video lol no lie, it's driftwood lumber
