I really hated that ref in the first Inoue vs Donaire fight. Normally, if you're going to stop a boxer from chasing an opponent, you'll be doing a standing KD, but that guy didn't start counting until Nonito was down. That would have been a TKO if the ref did his job right.

@@passportbrothersometimes it’s about perspective, when you get so dominant like Inoue is, the competition ends up looking bad. Kinda like Roy Jones Jr for a bit (of course now in hindsight we see how good the competition RJ fought and it only serves to elevate RJ more). In the old days the western media kept pushing the narrative of white women being superior and so it gets ingrained in their minds. The perception was that while women were the holy grail. Great video and breakdown of each fighter! If these fighters continue to push themselves and fight the best, they will all belong in the discussion of atg’s. Naoya Inoue is probably the greatest fighter we’ve seen since the 80’s. The man has it all, exceptional ring iq, brilliant speed, superb footwork and deletes his opponents with almost heavyweight like power. This man has some serious atg skills. I would love to see Crawford vs Canelo at middleweight or super middleweight. People might argue that Crawford is too small, but the man is exceptionally strong and has probably the craziest work ethic out of all of these when it comes to training. For me, it would be a 50/50 fight. It has the potential to be the greatest fight boxing has seen since the 80’s. But first, one of them needs to delete the other Charlo’s boxing career and then fight eachother for legacy. If Usyk beats Fury, which tbh he has a good chance of doing as long as he can avoid Fury’s clinch and rough house tactics, he should move down to light heavyweight and fight either Bivol or Beterbiev to cement his legacy as one of the greatest fighters in the history of the sport 😍

Everybody's asking why Canelo wasn't able to finish off Jermell and he hand picked him. But when Mayweather did the exact same to Juan Manuel Marquez who was also fighting 2 weight classes above for the first time in his career, it's considered a boxing masterclass. I agree 100% with this video. The thing that i would like to add to what makes Crawford great is his hudge arsenal and actual ability to fight in both stances equaly as effective and his push pull fighting style. He iften bates his opponents into atacking him sometimes moving back and sometimes aplying preasure with his body to stand his ground turning his body sideways to make it a smaller target and pushing with his shoulder. When he feels the opponents punche output diminishing and slowing down or the punches getting weake he strikes back with his own atack. His ability to controll the fight but give his opponents the impresion that they have a chance if they „try harder” is incredible. As for Usyk he has absolute knowledge of fundamentals and often go against established pattern to surprise his opponents. You cannot be prepared for those punches because they go against everything that boxers are tought. His stamina managment is second to none and his ability to drain the stamina of his oppornents is phenomenal. He has a multi putpouse jab and is constantly gathering data on his opponents behavur and conditioning him into patterns he later exploits. He cintrolls the distance and possitioning very well and he is in perpetual motion. His feet move his body moves and his head moves and the movement is in every dirction. At the end of the fight his opponents are beaten physically and mentaly. A true force to be record. He is the scariest nice guy that knows no fear.

Then beats errol again and the youngsters (boots, teo, tank, ryan whoever) before retiring into the goat discussion. - inoue unifies the next weightclass but really.. he has no competition yet around his weight 😢 - Usyk becomes 2x undisputed after beating fury, then gets a wilder match or a ngannou payday fight before retiring (although I think he still got quite a few fights in him) - Canelo fights benavidez, and tries bivol again (but I don’t think he can beat him, styles make fights) All of this probably won’t happen but still glad to be living in a generation with so many talents

Agree. I would add Tzyu and Virgil for Crawford. Bam, Wood and Espinoza would be great wins for Inoue For Usyk I would add Wilder, Hrgovic and even Opetaia as possible fights. Tho he has done almost everything. If I had 4 More fights for Canelo who has pretty much done everything It would be: Benavidez for 168 supremacy, Bivol for a crack at 175 undisputed, he deserves a rematch, despite how impossible It may seem; Crawford at a 164 Catchweight for P4P supremacy AND if he still wants It, a fight with Zurdo for Cruiserweight could be a nice last hurrah.

Usyk>Fury 100% Usyk was undisputed at cruiser and went up to a weight class where he’s smaller than everyone and became unified champ. Of the 4, Canelo would be the one I would be tempted to remove. I would probably replace him with Lomachenko. Not the Loma of 2023, but the one who fought until 2020 or so. If that doesn't count as the same generation I could live with Canelo. Otherwise I totally agree.
@jpesmar
@jpesmar 7 месяцев назад
I don't think Loma really deserves such a spot at this moment. He's great and has had some questionable decision goings the other fighter's way, but the truth is he's had way too few pro fights to have lost 3 times already, and his last two losses (one emphatically against Lopez and one quite controversial against Haney) have come due this own failures, waiting too much to step on the pedal. He has had his chances of cementing himself as the best of his generation, but hasn't done it thus far. Shame, because there's no one like him in terms of ability.

@@ixraelxo8856 Its just a judgment call. You have a good point about his resume, as so few fighters today fight as often as he has in the past, and he fights with great discipline something I admire greatly. But perhaps like Loma he has stayed in the game too long and just doesn't look as sharp anymore. Resume is super impressive, but sometimes sheer brilliance in the ring is even more impressive.He was never the quickest or most agile and had flaws that he covered well. Loma had a period of a few years when some superb fighters in his weight class simply gave up repeatedly and quit fights, something I just had never seen someone be able to do before. That is the reason I like Loma, but once again its apples and oranges and could go either way. Alvarez could arguably be considered the third best Mexican fighter of all time behind Sanchez and Chavez and that is still saying an awful lot.

You obvioulsy know little about boxing and rely too much on worthless belts if you have Crawford as defining his generation. Gamboa was an aging Olympian well into his 30's when they fought. Shawn Porter was just a welterweight midget well past his prime looking for a final payday. And Errol was a weight-drained mess when he fought Crawford. Fact is that Crawford wasted most of his prime complaining to Bob Arum and pulling the race card on him, trying to blame Arum for his lack of popularity.
