I had to replace one , the quality build of that amp was not what I expected. Yes customer service was quick to address the situation and are happy with that . I hope these new ones do address the amp build quality . I will check these out and see in to upgrading.
Thanks for that. The speakers look great! I'm sure they sound as good as they look. Ya know, in a perfect world my proceeding questions would not exist. But..that not being the case, here they are. Since the sock grill is not removable, what happens should one need to repair or replace a driver? Will this force you to tear the grille or break some other part of the speaker in order to access them?
Great content! have the BP 9060s and dual SVS PB 2000 pros. If I wanted to direct the bass to my subs but also the powered subwoofers in the towers, what would be the best settings in terms of small vs large etc?
Are these speakers as good as the 8060 II Klipsch? I'm going with a Denon 4800. Are the DM70's good for object based surround? I'm also tempted to go the easy route to the Nakamichi Dragon from the rave reviews it's getting.
So would he say to put a DM10 in the middle of a cabinet when it has a passive radiator shooting upwards ? How is that going to affect the sound in a positive way ?
I currently have the BP9040 with Atoms and Denon AVR 4700h and center speaker 9040. I was planning on purchasing the DN 12 but now I am thinking place the 9040 in the back and purchase a pair of DM? What do you suggest? I have a 20x10 space.
I know he was only talking about options with having an Atmos topper in the front and on walls in the rear. You would actually want to do that opposite if you had the ceiling for it. Reason being is that with the shape of our ears, we can always tell it is a topper in the front and not in the rear. Bouncy house speakers 🔊 can work from behind, but it’s not a good experience from the front. Front heights are even better than toppers. Most processors can adjust for front height on the wall vs on ceiling too.
So you really need to address the amp issue you have had with the bp90's. It's not right for us that own your brand and Def Tech not stand by there product or better yet supply a replacement amp. Don't get me wrong I love my def tech system. Luckily my amps haven't went out but I've only owned mine for 3yrs. If you want people to continue to be repeat customers you need to warranty your bad amp issues.

Why do they not have ceiling mounted speakers or surrounds that are worth a crap yet I don’t understand. serious HT enthusiasts do not care about tower mounted height speakers, maybe for the consumer who wants Atmos but knows nothing this will benefit but in reality this method is pointless it’s not even real Atmos. I have deff tech speakers and they really are a good speaker and do well for just beating on and blasting they aren’t the greatest but they deff provide a good solution for people who don’t want separates or a separate subwoofer with a easy setup solution that’s what deff tech has going for them as well as being a main stream manufacturer they will be able to sale to people who don’t know any better they aren’t bad at all but I doubt the price of these towers would be worth it tho because they are now falling in a market where there are many options that are of much better quality in this price range. I personally would not go for anything but the flagship and with that being said there price is to high compared to other soeakers in this range
Flagship speakers with 5.5 drivers, imagine that. It doesn’t seem like much has changed, kind of like an iPhone. Some of us like our “black boxes”, most of us like not having to set the front channels to large and I’m sure you know why. You should have tossed out the fabric wrap on the speakers, a mistake that’s still being made and was passed onto your new subs. You should have designed your sub channel as LFE for enthusiasts if you really wanted to make improvements. Those little 5.5s on your “Flagship Model” leaves a lot to be desired. Fire the entire design team.
Not to be a pedant but they are actually smaller as they are 5.25" drivers which is extremely disappointing, at minimum they should be 6.5" but preferably 8" drivers :(
And way overpriced to boot!!! I will stick with my arendal 1723’s thank you very much. I own deff tech speakers and I do like them but I don’t love them I like where there going and I have high hopes for this brand but to me nothing has changed and what has changed is not worth the upgrade thetr power handling is still low I’m sure the bass is still sloppy and not as accurate as a real sub. When I heard deff tech was releasing a flagship I imeadiatly was expecting a unit of a speaker larger, bigger, heavier and more capable but the fact is this is hardly a upgrade all they did is change a few things on the 9080 and rename it
@@crazycomments8038 Buy the 9000 models that are on sale now for less than half the price. Better yet find the even older models used 2000 series. Each generation got worse after Sandy left the company!
