Finally got the cams dialed in on the B18C. This took a while for me to understand what I was doing, but with some perseverance I got it done. Hopefully this all makes sense and helps someone else.

Cool video man, thanks for sharing it. I'm like you, just a guy in a garage trying to go fast. I also have the 4Piston B16 Head. About to order my 1000HP rated B18C short block from Ramey Racing.

finally a video on degreeing i understand hats off to you sir!!! now i feel comfortable degreeing my Pro1s for the g23 stroker.

Great video. I know why you weren't on zero. When you took you very first measurement of the degree wheel with the piston lock, you wrote down 21 when it was really 19... i still appreciate the video as i'm learning this myself

Someone mentioned knowing why you weren't zero... well tour left number was 21, right was 14 total is 35 and 17.5 is what you needed to move it back from 14... you'd of been at 3.5 which would have been close to your intial factory mark... if I'm correct

Im debating the tuner 2s vs the pro 1s. How did you make your cam decision? I hear the pro.1s have better bottom and mid range and top end is similar. Motor will be a na.b18c

I have a friend that runs Pro 2's with boost and had good luck. I was going to do the same but read that the Pro 1's are actually better with boost so I just sent it. lol

Question. What numbers do you have to come out with in order to adjust the cam gears ?

You want the numbers you come out with to match the centerline listed on your cam card for each cam. If the numbers are off, you would advance or retard the cam gear to get closer to the centerline.

Your centerline should be the same regardless of what pistons you run as centerline is the theoretical maximum lift point of the lobe in relationship to TDC. If you run high compression domed pistons, you’ll want to check piston to valve clearance as it is very very important. It’s Important with all pistons, but high compression pistons generally have a much tighter clearance due to the dome.
