Those guys are doing a tremendous job giving Hollywood whistleblowers a place to vent and get their voices heard and since this letter sounded as if I could have written it myself, it was well worth piggybacking onto it. @@boomstickman71 Boom! I was hoping you'd show up so I could thank you directly. One of the first here...huge part of why this is still going...believe me! The channel had been growing slowly and steadily then at about 950 when I dopped the new Star Wars video it went crazy, at least for me. I think YT gave it more play once it hit 1000 subs, which is when the channel gets monetized... My theory is that since they are running ads on them it's in their best interest to put the videos in front of more people...but I'm just guessing. But whatever happened, it got a bunch of views and 200+ subscribers quickly. Very cool. We'll see what happens next...this is all new to me, Regardless, I sincerely that you and guys like you that were here from the start. These things are kind of a PITA (haha) but the hope was eventually they'd catch on. Having regulars that were here offering words of encouragement was a huge help! So, thanks man...really. MAB

I just watched a vid from a guy called ENDYMIONtv who has over 200k subscribers, and although his voiceover take was good, I went to something else while just listeneing, because his vid consisted of a bunch of video game reel and some visuals from interviews. Nowhere near the high quality of videos you have always had. So hang on tight, it's gonna be a fun ride. I know I'll be here for it.
@@boomstickman71 Yeah, I know the channel you're talking about though I'm not sure I've watched much of his stuff. I made a pact with myself at the 1st of the year that I needed to MAKE more things than I watch, so I barely watch any of the regular channels I really like now. Because of the way I do the vids and because it's just me and no team my turn around time isn't the fastest, so I'm rarely first to the party. Because of that I don't want to watch someone else's take and then accidentally repeat it here. I do like watching them afterwards to see here we were similar, different, etc. Channel I've kept an eye on the most was Echo Chamberlin. When I first saw his channel he had maybe 5,000 or so and somehow he ended up on Drinker's live show. From there the channel took off. He's over 40K now. I've also watched disparu who I like a lot. He's up near 225K now, which is CRAZY because I first say him at maybe 15K? Both seemed to be helped a ton by showing up on bigger shows like Drinker's and disparu is on Nerdrotic's stuff a bunch. But...if the channel keeps growing steadily and I'm able to make a little money here I'm eager to put it into the channel so that I can upgrade some stuff. I want to upgrade the mic, though I'm happier now with the sounds than I was at first and to start doing some on camera stuff...which I'd need a camera, lights, etc for. I wasn't going to spend a dime on any of that until it felt worthwhile...so maybe we're getting there! Glad you're here for sure, and it's always a help for you guys to share it with others. Talent has taken a back seat to diversity in so many aspects of society. Hollywood has eaten itself, and we will have to wait until the cycle comes back around, and companies either go bankrupt, or start making content that we are willing to pay money to watch. The good times have created weak men, and now we will have to live through hard times that the weak men (or whomever) have created. Buckle up.

I can understanding "liking people" or flexibility, or aiding in diversity, but now it seems so damn desperate. Putting the most obnoxious, unrelatable women in the lead as show producers and characters. People like this in real life are loud, narcissistic and lazy. And that narcissism is on screen. Cause its so much easier to push your impulses rather than improve.
And now what? How much longer do we have to deal with it? And will there ever be a time when our favorite ruined IP's can be reset in any way? Some like Star Wars and Indiana Jones are done due to actor's age and/or deaths. Will we have to wait for a another generation to mature to the point where they can make changes? I may not be able to wait that long. I may be in the throes of dementia by then!
Hey rob! I mean...yeah. When you take a 30,000 foot view of the entertainment industry and see it as just part of the rest of what's been going on, there's no reason to think we're even approaching the hill over which we'd need to get to start coming down the other side. Reading that letter, and juxtaposing it to everything else, it seems clear to me that these people have NO CARE for what they're doing to these things. They're happy to burn them all down so long as they can squeeze an ounce of use out of them. As for us fans, I think you were right when you talked about deciding what YOUR franchises are. We're not gonna' get them reset and there will be no apologies. Things will get infinitely worse before it stops. Between now and then I think we just have to accept that any hopes we ever had of franchise "universes" being good beyond the movies from the past we loved are gone. Anything after what we consider "canon" is just fan fiction and should be ignored. It's why I've said I'll never watch anything beyond Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. I can't even have that crap in my head...it just doesn't exist. And if we do watch any of this new crap, it has to be with the assumption it's just to shake our heads at. And if a rare gem falls though, great. I wish I wasn't so pessimistic but nothing tells me this is going to change or that there's any hint at it happening. Great to see you, Rob! MAB
I'd assume this, but it could legit be Amazon, Netflix or any of the legacy studio to be honest. It was just amazing hearings someone on the inside saying word for word what I've been assuming just looking at the results on screen. There's NO WAY the studios don't know this, I think they're kinda' screwed though because they've handed the keys over to activists that are NOT gonna' just walk away. Anyone that thinks we're nearing the end of this is missing the plot. These kids will tank these companies before they change to appeal to the audience. Sadly, I think that's right. There may be something worthwhile that sneaks through on occasion, but given these studios have been completely over run by these people, there are just no capable adult left in the room to corral them. This is Lord of the Flies level stuff here... Thanks, MAB
Questionable source which fits into your narrative and bam a great video to made about it. Certainly you do think about your audience and the money. ;-) But hey, even if you are right, this would correct itself when the money stops coming in.
