I actually like that if they’re late they’re off the team. It’s a clear message. If I can’t trust you with a little thing like being on time then how can I trust you with anything else.
What I love about this is that even though I can't relate to this culturally, (I'm a suburban white guy), it absolutely lands and resonates on a different level. I've been burned by a lot of people in my life. I wish I had learned the lesson, 'Everybody that’s there for you ain’t there for you' so much earlier in life. I wish I learned that when I was a teen. Understanding that would have saved me a lot of pain and heartache. And coming from a small town where nothing changes, it really is amazing how people assume I would never change from the old days. Learning that change is natural and good even if it's scary is something I am still trying to come to terms with. Prayers for Coach Prime and his coaches, and all the young men in the JSU locker room. I pray protection, peace that surpasses all understanding, and a revival of all the spirits in that locker room. I pray that these young men get absolutely wrecked by the love of our Father. I pray that this Christmas would be one where those young men encounter Jesus on a personal level. Praying all of this from Cleveland, Tennessee! Amen!
He prefaced the quote that “everyone that’s there for you, isn’t there, for you” with don’t walk around with all your gear on thinking your hot shiit(eg. bragging). In my interpretation of the quote, it is that the people who love and are there for you, aren’t there to shine the spotlight on you all day, they’re their own people with their own lives who don’t need to revel in someone else’s accomplishments and you should respect that. Idk your experience but that’s what I think he meant by the statement, not that “people who are there for you, aren’t always going to be there for you “.
@@shondalavett8292 go to the No slides video. Prime said no slides worn to the venue or else and guess who had slides on? The ham of the two sanders boys……. Let’s take a guess….. shilo. Did he get punished ….. we will never know. Look it up under prime says no slides allowed.
I love when Prime tells the parents of his recruits, "If you give me your son, I'm going to give you back a man." That right there is his key selling point. Go JSU!!!
This dude is unbelievable. He and I basically in the same age range. His transformation from Florida state, through the atl pipeline (falcons and braves), cowboys, and Baltimore. NFL network, and other television gigs, he has shown nothing but growth and gratitude. Now he's passing it on to our youth, and adults as well. Inspiration can come in many forms, but primes is most effective for men like me, who have been like him, when he was simply Deon.
I was so blessed to have coaches like coach prime when I was in Jr High School in Oregon growing up back in the 70s. My dad was absent and when he was around, abusive. My mom worked two jobs to support us but my coaches stood in as my father figure and kept me out of trouble, made me realize I was smart, gifted and blessed and that my life had a purpose. I would not be where I am today without their love, compassion, discipline and support and now I have taken their place to be a role model for the next generation of athletes. I truly admire Coach Prime and strongly challenge anyone to live his philosophy and see if it doesn't bring you blessings and joy. I guarantee you it, without a doubt it will be overflowing many times over.
My old man was like this man as far as the being late. The time involved isn’t the point, it’s respect for whoever you made plans with. Those who are always late are telling you that their time is more valuable then yours, not respect.
“Everybody that’s there for you ain’t there for you.” “Some people see you the same person as you were when you left.” Two powerful, truthful gems 💎 as some of us have and/or still experiencing this.
I dont give af who see Me as whatever. I don't fuck with nobody anyways. Wasn't nobody inside my mother womb with me. I aint worried about none of yall+
I used to not like Him when he played NFL, but after watching what he does, how he talks, and how he mentors others. I was way wrong. I wish we had more people like him!
I thank God for RU-vid. This platform allows regular folks to sit down and listen with some their favorite celebrities as though we are in the room with them
Absolutely to see where Coach Prime is right now. He brings tears to my eyes. He is a true leader. He hasn’t always been this way. God speaks through Deion. His athletic accomplishments pale in comparison to his leadership. He is a true Godsend to his people.
I love these gems...."everyone is not for you, not even your family.....some people see you as you were before".....Powerful. Coach Prime is a Great Man of God!
@@jsutigers8954 I agree. I have been watching you all all season all the way from Massachusetts. Coach Prime speaks the Truth in Love. I am praying for your continue success.
He's speaking from 100% experience. He's lost friends, lost family, and is one of the greatest NFL players of all time. I pray these kids listen to his words. Replay this video every day until it clicks. Trust me, it will.
@@shannonnetherton7782 I think his message was put in simple & relatable terms: don't do it. If you decide to do it...and get caught doing it...there will be consequences.
Coach is teaching these men excellence! I love how he’s building them up on this journey. Whether you enter the NFL or not, you’re still a man of worth. Keep them balanced Coach!
I love Coach Primetime and his staff.. I feel realness thru my device....please young people listen... you'll get a long way on this journey called L*I*F*E ...😍🥰❤👋 I Wanna see the follow up, LOL whose gonna dare be late... LOL LOL LOL be safe and be blessed. 😍🥰👋😎
I love that..."still a man of worth, even if you don't go pro" because you won't believe how many guys don't see value in themselves outside of the sport they play!!!
Hun brah…. You are all worth something and everyone of these young men are making plays when their number is called…. It’s kind of like he made a whole team of mini-me’s or a whole team of primes
Man! Coach is the real deal! Explaining to these young men that they have a chance to change their life and their families life in positive ways but then telling them you best be respectful to this team and be here. Gotta love him
Teaching and mentoring young men to become men, to think clearly and be cognizant or their surroundings, to be accountable for their actions, and to realize that what their striving for is bigger than the moment! This is what it’s about!
I REALLY ENJOYED YOUR LAST TALK ABOUT HOW YOU CAN TALK TO GOD. WE CAN TALK TO GOD JUST AS WE CAN TALK TO EACH OTHER. AND YOU'RE CORRECT ABOUT GOD ALREADY KNOW WHAT WE'RE GOING TO SAY B4 WE SAY IT 👏👏
Deon, man, Sir, I honestly can’t thank you enough for all that you have done for the honor of HBCUs. I went to one and I love it to death! You are something special. Keep that high level of energy our young leaders. I do the same thing in my classroom with us. They love me and I love them. I share your spirit with my class introducing College to them. Thanks.
That last part where he said you can talk to God in your way? Maaaan that spoke to my soul! I used to think the same way! That I had to talk to God like I was a pastor or a evangelist and I would be super nervous to pray in front of people because I felt my prayers had to be polished and refined but then I realized God hears me as ME! I can just talk to God and praise him without feeling fear.
My Papaw was a fire and brimstone preacher. I was raised in the thee's and thou's prayer mindset and taught not to step out of line or God would smack me down. It wasn't until my mid-teens that I really came to terms and felt the true love of God. I was a suicidally depressed teenager with no friends in school when I went to this youth group camping retreat. I had been a part of the group for a few months and was slowly opening up. The camping trip was the first time I prayed, really prayed, in public. I remember starting out the prayer being so nervous that I actually started the prayer with "Um, hi there God, how's it going up there?" People laughed but it wasn't like they were laughing AT me if that makes sense? That was the first time I felt really accepted in a church group. At my papaw's church, I was always the pastor's grandkid. People would be kind to me to get on his good side, and I felt like I had to act all pious to not let him down. Learning that something as simple as a 'hi God' is not just acceptable, but that He loves it as much as he loves a super pious sounding prayer really opened my heart to receive Him in a way I never thought was possible. Sorry if I overshared. I just really resonated with your post!
Coach Prime be on point with his stories!! I’m so glad he’s helping to shine a bright light on HBCUs and developing our young men to be professionals in life!!
Always loved Deion even when he was shutting down my NY Giants wide receivers back in the day or returning punts for touchdowns on MNF against the Giants. Seeing him now having success as a coach & holding everyone on the team accountable for their actions makes me like & respect him even more.
I had one coach that I respected so much that his effect on me was that today as an older man I would hit any wall he told he to. These young guys will love and respect him all their lives.
Coaching! Mentoring! Parenting! Encouraging! Discipline! Other coaches' programs will be better in this aspect because of Coach Prime's teachings to his team. No matter what anyone says, they are/will incorporate his ways BECAUSE THEY'RE SURE WATCHING! Many continued blessings and success to team and coaches❤️🙏🏽
He Truly keeps it Real with his Players, covering all Basis of life. It reminds me of when I served in the Military 🪖 and our Leadership would give us a talking every weekend to be safe.
I love this man I wish there were more men out there helping young black men like that I loved them when he playing football but I love them even morning good job
Deion Sanders is the real deal. He takes care of his own in a way that has never been done before. He speaks in truth and in such a sincere way that his players will leave everything on the field every game. This is only a drop in the bucket in his coaching career as he will turn young men into great men.
" Everybody in your family dont love you" I mean bro if I had Deon as a mentor my life would be so different. Golden wisdom is priceless because am telling you the more older you get your circle gets smaller in regards to friends & family. Love only the people who matter and are always there for you to support you with their actions. Love, peace & life longevity!
AMEN ,AMEN .. MR. SANDERS YOU ARE RIGHT WITH EVERY WORD .. YOUR FAMILY NOR FRIENDS ARE HAPPY FOR YOU ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU'RE DOING GD AND TRYING TO MAKE A BETTER WAY FOR YOU AND YOUR FAMILY.. STAY SAFE GUY'S
Understand the truth. Everyone doesn't love you, especially the ones close to you. Keep it real. Praying for traveling grace covenant and protection. Go with God for those who know him and are called according to his purpose and keep his commandments.
Coach, I just appreciate your message to the athletes and your staff. Just think, you are in their lives for just a short length of time but your words will be with a lifetime.
Hearing him tell these young men to pray instantly made him my favorite college coach. Great message all the way through his speech then that was the cherry on top. I will now be rooting for his team every change I get.
@@truthdetector9371 All he said was the players should pray. Then he told them to speak to God as they would anyone else. He didn't do a prayer himself. I don't have a problem with that.
As a 25+ year retiree from the auto ins claim industry, excellent advice on driving & good life lessons on the other advice. Coach Sanders very well may have saved one of these mens lives. Great job w/these vlogs as always,Bucky❤️! Happy Thanksgiving❤️🍁🦃,Everyone!
He impresses me more and more every time I hear him talk to these youngsters…. That ish he said about always knowing he was the “man” is real. When you are on a team and you are the common denominator on each team that is vying for championship at every level, you can safely say you are the man and that’s what he meant. It’s not cocky it’s a swag , especially primes swag, cannot be duplicated
As black man myself, I can y'all that the brothers are truly listening to these words of wisdom. The respect the players have for him is extremely high.
I'll be honest, I thought this was a vanity project for him and just a short term gimmick type thing. I'd owe the man an apology if I met him because I'm super impressed with how much leadership & mentoring he's done with this job...not to mention he's got them winning too.
This is exactly what so many young black men need because they haven’t had these things inculcated into their minds everyday by their fathers, since they were in elementary school. This is why Asians win in the American Society achievement category. Two parents demanding excellence and no excuses accepted.
This shouldn’t just be about HBCU, Deion is more than that! His hype and truthfulness speaks volumes for young men! What a great encourager and breath of fresh air for all to hear! Thank you Prime Time! God Bless!
I wonder what them girls reaction is going be when they find out they were a part of " what not to do over break " safety brief ?!! Coach Prime was smart not to use these ladies name so he wont get sued for slander but they know who they are without him mentioning their names 😅😅
Playing football is not an anointing from God it's a gift from God but it's not an anointing anointing is when you doing the work of God so stop using God as worldly things
The Messages from Coach Prime are such a blessing. I come to this page daily to hear encouragement. The people in his presence are so lucky and blessed to be there REAL-TIME 🙏🏾
What a privilege it is to listen to Coach Prime. Talk about "progressed?" Deion 'Coach Prime' Sanders went from being one of the all-time great players in the sport's history, to being a great coach, and, as we see here, a great man. And the young men (and the entire Jackson State University students, administration, staff) going through the first-hand experience of Coach Prime are being given something far, far more important than a big contract. Smartest thing Travis Hunter did in his life was choosing JSU. What a young man... and a player.
I pray for the team and staff, that you guys will go home have a lovely Thanksgiving with friends and family and return to campus safely and on time. 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾 I also pray for those who are unable for what ever reason to be with their family for Thanksgiving. I know Coach Prime have plans for you...thanks Coach and guys do enjoy and be grateful for the opportunity. Happy Thanksgiving all and God bless. Deion Jr. you are doing an awesome job with these vlogs and I am enjoying them and I do not know America football. Great job youngman.👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
God bless this man. He truly loves and cares about these young men. His teachings on life are like a father to a son. It's on another level from anything I've ever experienced or witnessed in athletics. It's no wonder they are doing so well. Keep em' focused and tight coach ! Great job coach.
Be careful. Heal up and enjoy the break. And come back focused to dominate the SWAC Championship. And then the Celebration Bowl. God bless. Don’t slip up mentally like last season.
Trick he called god a thug. He’s not talking about God. He’s talking about y’all’s god. Lil g. The creature. He ain’t talking about my God like that. The Creator. My God will cut his old ass in 2. Watch.
The history books will exalt this man. Not just because of his football accomplishments but his impact as a community leader. This is rare and real one. We need more Deion like guys in our community 💯
I wish this went as "viral" as the transfer portal speech, Deion is an amazing role model for these young men and a great speaker. A true leader of men. Awesome video.
This is why I admire him.. his insight & wisdom on life is sooo on point & how God uses him is just beautiful & how Deion is holding players & coaches accountable..Lord this is 1 extra thing that I will be thankful for this Thanksgiving to see this man do your work on a high level.. Deion's love & compassion for your children is touching 🙏💪❤️
@@shawn8690 It has nothing to do with him being a NFL star.. I know a good person when I see one& he's a man of God that been nothing but a blessing to other's.. I don't get caught up or moved by all this fame stuff.. my father was a R&B singer & has been around stars like 2Pac to the O'Jays.. my father wasn't well known but he's been around the biggest stars in the 90's
@@richardfurlott4243 thats because you are ideal worshiper i heard speeches from coaches that are motivators not one that say your not important. thats is about the worst coach speech i have ever heard. it work in jv where he came from but not in power 5
Basically saying he hears all the noise of people saying he trying to leave. But he is committed to his guys. He’s focused on that. That’s all. He all in on his guys. You gotta love that type of coach. With that prestigious amount of knowledge only prime knows cause he is great of the greats. Crazy thing is. He coaching people he don’t even know he coaching. I’m all ears listening to his words. He gives great advice.
Best message is there are A WHOLE LOT OF PEOPLE out there jealous and they wanna take you down, don’t let them, don’t even give haters a single sliver of a chance to pull you down!
I remember in 1992 crying because someone on my 6 and under football team got number 21 and I thought I couldn’t be like Deion my role model flash forward 30 years I’m a father myself and this guy is still my role model Prime Time the fucking GOAT on and off the field ❤️✌️
