M.K.D. He was clearly fatigued in the final. He had just come back from injury, and this was the furthest he had made it since returning. Delpo had won right matches to get to the finals, playing a 5 set match. I'm no Murray fan at all, but he was the fresher player that day, and he was lucky to have been playing against a fatigued Delpo (who still managed to grab a set). What a tournament from Delpo though.

This was also Murray on the biggest roll of his career.

Murray, as boring as his game is, is a solid baseliner and has pretty decent touch at the net too. Covers the court and is mentally fit. Not that much of a surprise.

I said he wouldn't have reached this far because this was a hard court event (and we know Nadal's roadblock on hard courts this year).
