I am from ct and just bought a house on a lagoon in Toms river and moving my boat there shortly and your videos have helped me to gain a grasp on what I will be seeing when I finally get into the new area to me!! I really appreciate these videos. Cant wait to get out to the offshore grounds out there and also try out some of the new species we dont have off of our area inshore like drum. Very cool

People don't get how hard it is to film while catching fish. Especially solo. You should bring the cat out. I got 2 harnesses for my cats and I want to bring one out with me. I brought my raccoon out early this year but I'm definitely not bringing her again. She was really good but unfortunately in NJ they are illegal to have as a pet. This wind has been terrible. I'm trying to get one in tomorrow into Saturday but it's not looking too good. I'm getting tired of the Schuylkill although up until this heat hit the muskies were everywhere along with solid flatheads on artificial. I can't wait to get a motor for the new Hydra Sport 19 I picked up so I can handle a little rougher water.

Used to see them at the dock when I went weakfishing in Delaware Bay back in the 1970's and early 80's. I always thought it was a shame to kill such big fish (especially since I was told the big ones are not that good to eat, someone said they tasted like veal, not sure if I want my seafood to taste like veal). Gone are the glory days of weakfishing there too. I have not caught one off of the Jersey coast since the 1980's.

Chris, as usual awesome content amd information. we caught 4 and missed 2 this year. I am llooking for a marina that isn't too crazy expensive as i already drive 3 hrs 1 way to come down. Currently my boat is in fortescue NJ but can't get tuna from back in the bay lol Hopefully the big boat isn't anything major

I have a friend who lives just south of Boston and wherever I go to the place he works at to deliver we talk fishing. I nicknamed him the King of the Cape Cod Canal. He's a surf fishing guy and a freshwater fly fisherman. But? No Drum up there. Sure, a couple wander north from down here and get a picture in The Fisherman if they are caught, but nothing dependable. So, He's going to try to get down to NJ and see what happens.

Ahhhh, i got water in my ear again. 😂 who needs a rudder when ya have a twin screw?? I've only caught 1 black drum. I was surf fishen for stripes with clams. It was about 20lbs. It was one of the best eating fish I've caught. Didn't know i had him til he got to the shorebreak. He saw the beach and took off. It was just dead weight til then. I thought i had snagged a pile of seaweed til i saw my leader. It was on after that.
