I'm not religious neither Shia or Sunni but have to admit after seeing the full debate the Shia won no doubt about it. Decent, knowledgeable and full of wisdom. As opposed to the rude, illogical Sunni debaters.

1) Isn't imamat leadership? if leaders must be named in quran to be followed then why didn't Allah swt name the ululamr, whom u should obey the same way you obey the Prophet pbuh. (quran 4:59). Who else would be the representative of Allah swt on earth in absence of Rasulullah (saw) other than the ululamr? Can Sunnis name the uluamr from the quran? So why do they expect the shias to name the 12 imams from quran who are in fact the ululamr? 2. All the 124000 Prophets were also infallible and khalifas of Allah swt on earth, why aren't they all named in the quran? 3. Sunnis should prove that the quran is intact according to their creed, then demand answers from the quran.

In the book titled "Aal e Rasool say Bughz kyun" by Syed Muhammad Jawwad Mehri. In that book, the author showed a remarkable thing that opened my mind. He first mentioned the following verse 36 from Surah Tuba: إِنَّ عِدَّةَ الشُّهُورِ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ اثْنَا عَشَرَ شَهْرًا فِي كِتَابِ اللَّهِ يَوْمَ خَلَقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ مِنْهَا أَرْبَعَةٌ حُرُمٌ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ الدِّينُ الْقَيِّمُ ۚ فَلَا تَظْلِمُوا فِيهِنَّ أَنْفُسَكُمْ ۚ وَقَاتِلُوا الْمُشْرِكِينَ كَافَّةً كَمَا يُقَاتِلُونَكُمْ كَافَّةً ۚ وَاعْلَمُوا أَنَّ اللَّهَ مَعَ الْمُتَّقِينَ {36 [Shakir 9:36] Surely the number of months with Allah is twelve months in Allah's ordinance since the day when He created the heavens and the earth, of these four being sacred; that is the right reckoning; therefore be not unjust to yourselves regarding them, and fight the polytheists all together as they fight you all together; and know that Allah is with those who guard (against evil). The author then mentions that here the word الشُّهُورِ is used which is taken from "shehr" which is a singular form and it has two meanings in Arabic language one is: "Month" and another is "Knowledgeable man or wise ". The author says that the plural which is used in this verse is "الشُّهُورِ " is actually also used by Hazrat Abu Talib a.s, the uncle of Prophet PBUHHP and father of Imam Ali a.s, in the context of "Wise men" and not in the context of "months" in his poetry. Second argument which he gives is that if "الشُّهُورِ" means month than what about the other verses where "أَشْهُرٍ" is used as months and not "الشُّهُورِ" one of this example is as follows from the surah Tauba verse 2: فَسِيحُوا فِي الْأَرْضِ أَرْبَعَةَ أَشْهُرٍ وَاعْلَمُوا أَنَّكُمْ غَيْرُ مُعْجِزِي اللَّهِ ۙ وَأَنَّ اللَّهَ مُخْزِي الْكَافِرِينَ {2} [Shakir 9:2] So go about in the land for four months and know that you cannot weaken Allah and that Allah will bring disgrace to the unbelievers. The author further says that the above verse 36 should have been translated as: [Shakir 9:36] Surely the number of wise men (Imams) with Allah is twelve knowledgeable men in Allah's ordinance since the day when He created the heavens and the earth, of these four being sacred (Due to their name being after the name of Allah that are Imam Ali a.s, Imam Ali Zainul Abideen, Imam Ali Reza a.s and Imam Ali Naqi a.s as Ali is name of Allah so one should not exaggerate or look down upon those names); that is the right reckoning; therefore be not unjust to yourselves regarding them, and fight the polytheists all together as they fight you all together; and know that Allah is with those who guard (against evil).

he Prophet proclaimed: “Man kuntu mawlahu fa aliyyun mawlahu” meaning: “He whose Mawla I am, Ali is his Mawla.” The Prophet then prayed: “O Allah, be a friend of whoever is his friend and extend your support to those who support him.”

This was a monumental point about imam Mahdi (as) not being in the Qur'an. Furthermore if you can find from Sunni sources that imam Mahdi (as) will lead Nabi Isa (as) in namaz, this can be a good evidence for proving that the imams are higher rank than the previous prophets. Hijab always evades the question of how Sunnis justify their leadership system. He never even states his own beliefs and hides behind there being a difference of opinion! To make a fair debate, he ought to state his position and have to defend it as well rather than put the entire burden on the Shias.

His name is my name, and his nickname is my nickname,Mohammad son of Hassan son of Ali. He is the one whom Allah will conquer the East of the Earth and its West by his hands. He is the one who will stay absent from his allies in an occultation in which none shall stay firm on the belief of his Imamate except for he whom Allah has tested his heart with faith." O you Shia, The whole notion of your faith comes from an absence of true tawhid. Allah(swt) has power over everything, no one can breath air without his permission. Let me break it down for you: 1 - Allah(swt) willed Abu bakr (ra) to become the 1st khalifa 2 - Allah(swt) willed Umar (ra) to become the 2nd khalifa 3 - Allah(swt) willed Uthman (ra) to become the 3rd khalifa 4 - Allah(swt) willed Ali (ra) to become the 4th Khalifa Your problem is not with the Sunnis your problem is with the decree of Allah(swt). He had already written down who will lead the Muslims before any Muslim was born. He chose who will lead and he also chose how your imam's would die, each and every one of them was given a death chosen by Allah(swt). If Allah (swt) wanted he would have preserved your imams: - Just as he preserved Noor(as) from the flood - Just as he preserved Ibrahim(as) from the fire burning him to ashes - Just as he preserved Youssef(as) from his brothers - Just as he preserved Musa(as) from the pharaoh and his army - Just as he preserved Isa(as) from being crucified by the jews - Just as he preserved Mohammed(saw) with a spider from being hunted down and killed If your imams are special why didn't Allah(swt) preserve them like he preserved his prophets?

Because he's the twelth imam and surah yusof is the twelth surah.in the surah yusof tells his father that he saw 11 stars prostrate to him as well as sun and moon! 11 stars mean imams before imam mahdi and sun and moon means prophet himself and his daughter fatima. Think about how similar is prophet yusof with imam mahdi!

After the death of the holy Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him and his immaculate progeny), Muslims had two options for seeking guidance from; the holy ahlulbayt (family) of the holy Prophet. Others. The ahlulbayt are those family members of the holy Prophet who grew up in his blessed lap. Islam, Qur'an and the Shari'ah was revealed in their house. The angels descended with the blessings and mercy of Allah into their house. Muslims are obligated to send blessings upon not only their Prophet but also his holy progeny in their namaz/daily prayers/salat. The holy Qur'an testifies of their purity, infallibility and perfection. The holy Prophet left behind him the holy Qur'an and his ahlulbayt. The ahlulbayt are the inheritors of the holy Prophet's knowledge, wisdom and characteristics. They are the best examples and role models after the holy Prophet. The holy Prophet loved them the most and they loved him the most. Who can understand Islam, Qur'an, Shari'ah, the sunnah of the holy Prophet and so on better than the people of the house? This is why the Shi'as follow the ahlulbayt and none else. As regards to the others, we are not sure of the state of their iman, source of their knowledge, information and understanding of Islam. The truth of the matter is that the vast majority of Muslims are victims of prejudice, brainwashing, ignorance and misconceptions when it comes to the school of the ahlulbayt.
