and Welcome to a Delicious Kala Chicken and Malvani Vade ( मालवणी वडे ) Special Episode of @RedSoilStories
It is almost the arrival of monsoon, we celebrate it as "Mirag" ( Mruga Nakshtra ) and enjoy delicious chicken curry and Malvani Vade as the Monsoon is arriving. This year arrival of monsoon is delayed but Pooja decided to celebrate it in the traditional way.
But this time she was preparing Kala Chicken Curry (काळं चिकन) and Malvani vade. Traditionally both the recipes are made in a different manner and we have show in our first episode. This is a quicker version of the recipes. Traditionally Chicken curry is prepared in a different way for Mirag.
Pooja has asked me to bring some chicken. I brought the chicken and handed over to Pooja after cleaning it. Pooja started preparing for the recipes. She first prepared a spices mix for Malvani Vade. Then prepared vatan ( Pastes ) for chicken curry recipe. Marinated chicken with the pastes and Spices and Kept for Marinating. Then she prepared the Kala Chicken Curry.
For malvani vade she added some flours like rice flour, wheat flour, bengal gram flour ( besan ) and spices mix and kneaded the dough. She smoked the dough in a traditional method and then prepared the Malvani Vade.
It was a feast for Raja and Mowgli today as they got chicken to eat.
We also enjoyed the lunch together.!
