Seems like this is the latest, so I will ask an unrelated question and hope to get a response. I have an Optiplex 980 MT that is not my primary, but still use every day. I watched your video and just updated the i5 dual core to the i7 quad core and increased RAM to 16 gigs. I have the standard heat sync assembly and would like to replace the actual fan with a quiet to silent one. Are you able to make a suggestion? It's not roaring but I have always had a thing about fan noise.

Will be nice to see what low profile cards come out for the RTX 3000 (GTX1750?) series that fit in these SFF Dells. Fingers crossed for 6gb ram and no power supply upgrade.

i know this isn’t related to the video but i’ve watched your video about the lenovo thinkcentre m91p upgrades and i recently have gotten a gigabyte gt 1030 low profile graphics card. when i put the card into the slot and turn on my pc, the fan on the card turns on and all of that but the pc doesn’t pick up the card. i don’t know what to do and i think coming here and asking you might help the specs are stock, core i5 (2nd gen) 2500, 8GB ram, 1tb ssd is there a fix or something? hope there is. thank you

can you add a graphic card ?

I have a 7070 sff. I noticed in this video that there is a vacant pad for a 4 pin system fan header on the 7080 motherboard just as there is on the 7070, and, as there is on the 7060, according to online photos. Have you ever seen these pads occupied and/or used, or, have you used and/or tested the connection points yourself? I'd be interested in actually adding a header there if I hadn't read of funky fan connection abominations created by Dell, AND, if I knew these connections are functional in the standard 4 pin fan configuration. I've been unable to find any mention of this system fan pad anywhere on the net. I'm even more reluctant to attempt to utilize it since hwinfo will not or can not even show the CPU fan info. Having an 80mm fan moving more air through the case would be great before adding a graphics card, and, having a system fan header on the motherboard would be a very clean way of accomplishing that. Also...I have a m.2 wifi/BT card installed that would also benefit from more moving air.

Mxkdi! I need your help. I can get my hands on a brand new OptiPlex 7090 Tower or Mini tower motherboard for a great price. I’m trying to figure out if the 7090 motherboard Will install in my Inspiron 3670 case. They look very similar as far as dimensions go and screw holes for the motherboard, but I’m sure there’s differences in the front i/o and possibly the on off switch. I don’t know if you have a 3670 Inspiron laying around but I believe the OptiPlex 7080 motherboard for the mini tower is the same dimensions as the 7090 so if you could try that would be amazing. If anybody else here knows or has ability to try that for me I would also greatly appreciate it thanks everyone keep up the great work. Bart
