pinky up has to be the worst advice ever. Not only do you have more trap engagement, you also are internally rotating the medial delt when you shouldn't be. Internal rotation is not a function of your medial delt. Say bye to your rotator cuff. Try this with no weight 30 times sitting at your computer, I guarantee you will get a pain in your shoulder. Now imagine doing that with 30lbs...
@@DatNguyen-hx6rbNo he's actually right, pinky up no good on side laterals, it totally impinges the infraspinatus, that said 99% of what Charles prescribes is amazing. I like how Joe Gold taught side laterals, lifting with elbows very bent in a more anterior plane. The shoulder joint nor muscles were never designed to lift straight out to the sides.
