A Delta Air Lines flight between London Gatwick and New York JFK was delayed as the aircraft operating the service had one of its evacuation slides deployed inadvertently. The nature of the incident understandably causes a disruption in service and costs airlines money.

Probably they forgot to deactivate the slide before opening for the catering or the system to disable it didn't work properly...
