I had never listened to Demi Lovato, I just thought she was a Disney girl with shallow pop songs, until I saw her sing "Anyone" on the awards show a month or so ago...she is an amazing vocalist. I had no clue she was so talented.

I lost my dad to a military life he was always gone. He had ptsd and manic depression in the end from losing his other family. He took his own life despite alot of drugs and treatment. This song perfectly explains the feelings of loving and being so so angry at someone at the same time. I love him, respect him for serving our country and miss him but I'm so mad that he put our family through all of it. It's alot to process. 😢

The part that actually makes me cry of this song is when she screams. Cuz there are no words, just pain.

My father walked when i was 3 months old. I saw him last when i was 5, in 1987. He passed in 2010. I remember walking right past him in a store once. He didnt even recognize me. I hope heaven is giving him a 2nd chance. I never could. Not that he ever asked for one. My half brother found me after he passed. That was the day my brother found out i even existed. So i can atleast take comfort in the fact that i was one of his last thoughts. I wanted him to love me. Im not sure he ever did. I waited for him to come.back. i was the kid sitting at the window waiting. I loved who i wanted him to be. He never gave me the chance to actually love him.

My stepdads not passed but he was extremely verbally and emotionally abusive and this song made me cry for a long while after it was over I begged him to be in my life and he chose to be as absent as possible while cheating on my mother I still love him but sometimes is think I hate him

Would not go as far to say her dad was very abusive toward her, it was more like he wasn't really physically and mentally there for them. He chose drugs, he would lie to her and tell her he was dying when we wasn't, or that he had cancer when he didn't. You should watch her documentary it will tell you everything you need to know bout her relationship with her dad.

Yeah Demi has recently become my all-time favorite female singer of all time in my second favorite singer (after James Brown who has been my favorite since I was 12 years old in 1968). First I saw her performance of ANYONE at the Grammies and this was the 2nd performance of hers I saw. That was enough to hook me but then she has many other wonderful performance is also. This was a magnificent performance! I also love the way you do reactions. You stop the video and talk about it and then sometimes you even rewind it. Personally I can’t stand people that review something and talk through it. If I want to see the whole video at once I can go watch the original video. So when I watch these things I really want the person reacting to stop it as often as they want to and talk about it, and you do that well!

Demi Lovato - In Case (live) -- This is her best song in general, but there's only one recording of her performing it anywhere. She refuses to sing it live because it's too emotional for her. It's also technically perfect, her vocals are fucking spotless in it!

I felt all that, have issues with my father

I was abused by my parents, it hurts more to hang onto hate. The moment you forgive and forget you find peace and can live a full life without hate.

It breaks my heart I could not imagine having an abusive father.

This is my story. He didn’t meet me until I was 18. Then when I got a job and found out I had a job he asked me for money. When I told him I couldn’t he told me I was useless and that is why he left me and my mom. He then told me that he had cancer so I gave him money (which we found out later was not the truth) He hasn’t said anything since. I tried to be in his life when I wasn’t the one that should have tried in the first place. So now I just don’t care anymore. I do wish him the best but I’m through trying.

My daddy was very abusive. So abusive that he was put in prison for several years when my mother finally carried us to the police department when she came home and he had beaten my 18 month old brother to where he was bloody. I was 7 years old and I didn’t forgive him until he finally went to rehab when I was 17. I know it seems hard to forgive and trust me, I still have times when I think of moments like when he punched my mother in her mouth while she was driving and all the blood that poured. Like hearing him tell the doctors to let me die because he was not going to pay for surgery to stop the bleeding when I got hurt at 6 years old. I came to realize that all that he said & all that he done was bc of the alcohol he finally let go of. He was a different man after he got clean. I had to forgive him bc I couldn’t carry that dislike inside anymore bc I am not that kind of toxic person. Forgiveness is not just for the person you forgive, it is for yourself as well.
