There's many video's say they're fine to use and not to use them. So, looking at yours they look really well made. Do you recommend them if I was thinking about putting them on my 2016 Navara?
I’ve got bigger tyres on mine, 265/70 All Terrain... are they likely to hit the wheel arch? Can’t believe how easy the spacers are! Thanks for showing us
Surely the original wheel studs are too short to be safe with the spacers - they do not protrude through the shallow nuts and do not have enough thread contact area. At the very least I would check for correct torque on a regular basis to avoid loosening.
Where the stud are the spacer is the same thickness as the original alloy wheel so the stud / wheel nut situation should be the same. Checking the torque is a good idea
Do they need to be removed for MOT, warranty etc... any thoughts about using Lock Tight, since you can’t check the torque without taking the wheels off first.
Hi goog questions... MOT - this is not a MOT issue as long as wheels are secure and dont stick out past the bodyline Warranty - Car manufacturers will find any way to get out admitting problems are their fault - so i would remove them for any warranty claim Locktight / threadlock - this can only be a good thing ! Another one to consider would be checking with your insurance company if they are OK with you fitting them.
