Zenitsu is the embodiment of the saying "I fear not the man that has practiced 10,000 kicks once, but I fear the man who has practiced one kick 10,000 times."
I love the parallel between Tanjirou and Zenitsu with the moon. Tanjirou was descending from the heavens to liberate (save/kill) the spider demon mother. While Zenitsu rose from the depths to punish the spider.
I find it really interesting the way Zenitsu’s character arc is unfolding has him not necessarily becoming stronger/more powerful but overcoming his own mental blocks that truly stop him from being great. Zenitsu is already an extremely powerful and talented demon slayer-but because of his lack of confidence and self-esteem, he can only fight to his truest potential when he’s asleep, his mind has no chance to doubt and all he can do is ACT. Basically, Zenitsu’s biggest obstacle is himself.
a fun thing, as zenitsu is figthing here, his eyes are closed, he is unconcious after all, however, his hearing is so good that he is able to guide himself even with his eyes closed!
All the elements of their swords (Tanjiro's water, Zenitsu's lighting and so on) are not real, but only serve to show the flow of their fighting and the element they're based on... But Zenitsu's thunder sound is actually real because he moved faster than sound. Just goes to show how amazing his skill is
I love how the autor said this, but Zenitsu is still breaking the sound barrier, which is equally as absurd than just having Lightning "Magic" or whatever.
Damn dude your commentary has always been phenomenal and thought provoking, but it’s really refreshing to hear it specifically about Zenitsu, where so many people don’t get past the screaming to see the depth of his character and the pretty clear path in front of him to develop
Another aot x demon slayer crossover: the rude guy in Zenitsu's backstory (6:26) has the same VA as Reiner. And because Zenitsu is Connie, so.... RIP shoulder pats
Your reaction to the small spider was basically everyone's reaction lol. Apparently Zenitsu was moving/vibrating so fast that he created a lot of static, that's where the electricity came from and made him able to get free of the spider swarm. You nailed it on your take on Zenitsu and his views on people and it is very important when it comes to his loved ones, everybody gave up on him after he either cried or ran away, the first one not to was his master, hence his love for him, the second person not to do this was Tanjiro, even after seeing him cry, be all over that poor girl and be so over the top about everything, he still was nice to him, so when Tanjiro put a dissappointed face after Zenitsu didn't want to enter the house a few episodes back, Zenitsu got so taken aback by that that he entered anyway, probably feared of losing Tanjiro, the second person ever to be nice to him.

Those are in fact the numbers 1-12, but just written in an archaic way that normally wasn't used outside of accounting. 壱弐参 is 1, 2, 3, etc., but it's written that way so someone can't come along and add a stroke to something and change it from, say, 10 (十) to 1000 (千). It's the same way they write episode numbers in the opening panels.
(I suppose the better example would've been "1" --> "10" --> "1000." 一, 十, 千) They're all very rare in the real world, but I did think of a few examples: "fancy one" is on the 10000 yen bill, written as 壱万円, or the curry chain restaurant ココ壱番屋. For completion: 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10 = 壱弐参肆伍陸漆捌玖拾 --> 一二三四五六七八九十
When I first watched this episode, I totally forgot that Tanjiro is the main protagonist and not Zenitsu 💀💀💀 Also the sad thing about this episode is that no one saw Zenitsu kill that spider all by himself. Tanjiro and Inosuke still haven't realized that Zenitsu can be a big help for them and actually fight side by side with them.
i love seeing my boy zinitsu being the most badass of the group, he is clearly the strongest of them at this point, if only he belived in his potential...
This is not the most badass moment from zenitsu, i really love his character, there is just something so inspiring about seeing someone that is very scaredy overcoming their fear and doing something great.
Zenitsu isn't related to his master, it's just something that people do in Japan that when they get comfortable with an older man they call them "gramps or grandpa" even if they aren't related.
In future in hashira training Zenitsu heard some bad news that will make him personallity change into cold and serious Now let me give you little Manga spoiler in fighting: While fighting Muzan Zenitsu was on other level in speed strength combats than Inosuke and Kanao And he is scarier than Tanjiro when he is mad and serious
Zenitsu backstory before he got adopted niether Manga also explain it properly: His life was just like Naruto childhood He was ignored and beaten by people He had only one pair of torn cloth and He did not had money and proper food to eat that's why he was so thin his bone can be shown And top of that he did not even know his parents that his parents abandon him or they were killed
Zenitsus character reminds me of Misty's Psyduck lol. I can't say his sleep fighting is the most satisfying thing to me, but I'm learning to mind him, I just want to see him develope
It might be BS and just a random comment of some guy hypothesising but I've seen people say that Zenitsu asleep at this point in the story is the strongest of the 3, obviously it is hard to definitively tell though.
I think Zenitsu is the strongest at this point of the story too. My reason is whenver Tanjiro fights a demon, he spends a lot of time analyzing, dodging, making strat and defeat the demon after a bunches of moves and effort. But Zenitsu, he just one hit one kill. He doesn't struggle as much as Tanjiro to kill just a demon. Of course, the level of the demons they faced agaisnt is different but I think Zenitsu is stronger at this point. From ss2 moving on, Tanjiro seems to take the lead
I finished reading this manga a few minutes ago ahahah, and honestly, a part of me is sad I didn´t stay anime only, but another one is glad I had this amazing experience. I'm looking forward to your journey with this show even more now!

Cause 4 is that Zenitsu looked so beat up before final selection bc he didnt wanna go and Gramps made him And episode 11 w...was that he's nervous around girls oops So ep 12? Is when Tanjirou said it Since not everyone watches it I end up seeing a lot of surprised reactors--like, all of them, but it's understandable
I really love this episode, to me this is prob the only demon skayer episode which writting actually made me really like it but ofcoursenthe music and animation are hype!!! Love it sencierely
I always miss the community post so i'll write it here. I wanted you to consider Kingdom as one of the future reactions. It's probably the most big brain series I've ever seen and is based on one of the best selling mangas in Japan. It tells s story of a former slave Shin who wants to became the greatest general/shiogun in China and his frien Ei Sei( qin shi huang). It's all about battles, scheming, duels. I think that since you've woked in China you may like it. The season 1 has kind of crappy animation but it gets better with time and season 4 is comming out this april.
