This a really great podcast, getting the perspective from a great driver will never get old. As a sports photographer, if I was ever credentialed for Nascar, I would look up Jared in a heartbeat. I'd love to hear his takes on how he does his job and milk him for tips or any wisdom he could pass along.
Listening to this Podcast the past two years has taught me so much more than any Fox broadcast has in the past 10 years. Used to not be a Denny Fan, Then he started this podcast and getting to listen to him has made me a fan.
Sounds like another change that is just stupid. Dial your own et brackets. I did not think anything could be worse than what is at present. And there you have. Playoff, Brackets, Honda and no V 8. NASCAR HAS HONE TO THE NAZIS.
Ya Blaneys a big talker on the radio..never does jack once hes outta the car though..but i mean hes like a 100lbs soakin wet..not to many dudes hes gunna beat up though..maybe Ty Gibbs if hes lucky.
One idea that I had is, have NASCAR select 3 possible tracks, and let the fans vote, and let it be the fan favorite, and then that track has 1-2 year cool down (to not be selected) so that track selection moves around. I am okay with the Clash moving to a different track each year.
Hey 🐐, as a fellow richmonder, it hurts to see that richmond spring is prolly gone for the future and it's hurts us more since we can't watch you win richmond more than once a season. but it makes sense since the race has been mid for awhile and attendance isn't great. but i think it's all w the location of the track, laburnum is the hood of richmond and this springs race my car got broken into, so location has to be the biggest issue w the track. Now go win yourself $1mil this weekend! A11IN
Reddick went way too soon. He had a faster car and got to his bumper fairly quickly. He could’ve passed him with some patience. Buescher was starting to get into the wall by himself trying to keep Reddick back.
Personally i think with the whole win sticker vs No win sticker. It changes the perception on a risky move. Someone with the sticker, is ultimately risking *less* then someone without. Its not so much about "going for the win" its about how much *more* a 33rd place finish or DNF hurts the guy without. The 45 can afford a risky move, the 17 cannot. I dont think that the 45 should let someone without a sticker blow by them, or give them a win, but i think there should be some consideration in regards to respect. Its something that, between a sticker and a sticker... Is write off, just racin'. But when theres that difference in what they risk with no consideration, i think its perfectly valid for the guy whos not locked in, to bank that moment and pay back that moment of inconsideration.
16:39 an issue that no one seems to bring up is you have 6 short track races cannibalizing each other for the same fans in the same area of the country. My problem is that instead of going to a different short track. We're gaining a road course which is also boring.
I enjoyed the Darlington race quite a bit. While i could definitely see the issues with the car that were hindering the race and how good it could be, we still saw drivers really have to drive the cars, and I'll never get bored of seeing cars manage that wall riding. 2nd stage got a little less interesting but overall I was entertained and never hit the feeling of boredom or frustration. But i kept thinking the whole time how much better it could've been without the stage yellows, exactly because i dont think anyone would have pit after just 35 laps.
Richmond really suffers more than most from stage racing, and it can be felt in the stands. As the race starts to hit a groove and get interesting, the stage break takes all the air out of the room. All the things that plague modern short track racing start to go away with the wearing away of the tires, but knowing where those stage breaks are makes really predictable strategy.
Yep. Stage racing literally prevents the "comers and goers" because these cars and the rock hard tires need long runs to generate any delta in lap time. It can only happen at tracks with accelerated tire wear like we saw at Bristol and Darlington.
Yeah, you say I know I know with Reddit and Chase Elliott situation but what about all the altercations that you got into with Bano? Those were the best though the way you’d make fun of them is goofy goofiness spot on, but this is why I say sometimes you seem like you become the person you used to complain about, but you’re very educational and I love the podcast. I like a little bit of a hypocrite, but I will always listen to what you got to say.
Denny talking about Richmond and the series fans want to see the cars on the track back to precovid with Friday pray and qualifying happy hour it doesn’t make sense to pull a tv for 10 hours for the amount of track time
Just to throw it out there as a singular voice, I sure won't be watching NFL on Christmas, even if I've become a fan recently. It is mostly down because I'll be doing family stuff which doesn't involve watching live sports. That's not our focus as a family on holidays. Then again, the truth of all holidays are lost for a different reason beyond sports.
How would race hub be a negative? Fox shows an ad every 5 laps of a race and half of the show. Race hub was an investment back into the product. Theyd rather fuck the fans..businesses in this country have really lost rapport with the fan base. They more or less at this point say F you, pay us if you want our shit. Denny and Kyle Busch are my guys. Keep telling the truth to make racing better.
What's hard to understand why a fan base that is likely 60-70% Christian wouldn't be fond of a Easter Sunday race? Why do you think every race starts with a prayer, for fun?
Bueschers push didn’t work because it was just too sharp of an impact. If he would’ve got there a little earlier before the corner and gave a solid push for a second it would’ve had a better shot at working.
23:10 If I were Hendrick Motorsports or Kyle Larson I would donate a lot of money to Miami-Dade County so they could bring the championship back to Homestead where it should have always been.
Blaney need a shirt that says aero blocking mthr f🍉. I think you can fill in the blank. I think of that every time I hear the word aero. And usually say it
Maybe Im the only one but I think cutting these races to 400 miles kinda stinks. Pay the same for less racing especially with stage racing that takes away even more racing. So not only losing 100 miles of racing, you're also losing 15-20 laps for the stages. Im a purist and think that we need to go back to the 500 mile races.
I create Dennys car designes in GT7 you can watch the them also on my side. And yes there is poorly no Carmy in game so I toke the chevi in Nascar nearly same siluet. Have fun Denny that's your your year 👍🏁
17:00 I love Richmond but it puts on a dull show. Think of it from the prospective of a first time attendi.. strategy racing doesn’t put butts in the seat. Just me and my opinion. Short track action and drama does
Denny is so whiny this episode and last. Throwback has run its course. We don't need a clash. Never race on a holiday. Like dude, if you don't like it get done. I have holidays off, and I want something to watch.
Watching in person with this new car is just trash. Its not worth it anymore. It was great when they had 900 horsepower. 550 hp barely excites you after a restart. And can we please stop trying to push big races in a state trying to outlaw the sport
It isn't Tyler's responsibility to assist Chris in getting a sticker, that is the part of the post race rant that I think the 17 doesn't realize. Tyler is a competitor and he is competing for his team, why would any competitor want to help the opposing competition?
It's not, but he was a full car length back when he dove into the corner, no way he was gonna make a slide job, it was a stupid move that screwed both of their races
Psychoamlin will never win a championship! He does not have the mental toughness or "championship mindset" to get it done! He will take himself out as always! It says alot when you get boo'd at what you say is your homie track. Chumpion forever!! Psychoamlin saying someone else needs therapy!!!!!!
Look at the stands at darlington this last race and that will answer about race hub going away. Who wants to sponsor a show when they cant fill stands..a football cost 30 dollars a baseball cost 15 dollars and a race car cost 500,000 so who can aford to sponsor that show
Denny, you literally wrecked Kyle Larson on purpose last year to win a race, you have no moral high ground to judge anybody else’s moves, aggressive, or not, at least they’re trying to do it without slamming someone into the wall like you did to Larson last year.
some manufactures back in the day would sand bag when they got a new package to get NASCAR to react and give them something, I hope FORD was not doing this all year so far.
In my opinion, if you go back and look at the Tyler Reddick and Chris Buescher incident, I think you may agree with me that Buescher was loose and either hitting/scaping the wall before Reddick made contact with him. Reddick can't take all the blame for the incident. I've look at the video several times and believe Buescher has to take some of the blame. I understand it "sucks to suck; coming that close two weeks in a row, in winning a race. But as "Harry Hogge" said: Rubbing is Racing.
No. You got to be fucking blind to think that. Tyler Reddick tried a dive bomb praying for a miracle slide job and he didn't get as far along as he thought he would and it was too late to bail out. There is zero blame to put on Buescher. Buescher is running his own lane, it's the passing car's responsibility to make a clean pass.
