Just 23 years old at the time of this recording, Denzel Curry has been active for the better part of a decade, with his first mixtape released in 2011. He first started rapping in the sixth grade, and his interest in poetry dates back even further. At first glance Denzel Curry looks like he came from a pretty stable background. He's a high school graduate with protective parents but in his native Carol City, he lived through some pretty hard times. He lost many a friend and even his own brother who died after being tasered by the police.
